The TW3001AT is a single-channel active transmitter that can
transmit live video over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. Cat5e or
Cat6 cable is recommended.
The top of the unit has a DIP switch that allows you to select the
distance (500-3,000 feet/152.4-914.4 meters) when using the
transmitter with a passive receiver. The maximum distance when
connecting a TW3001AT to a Pelco active receiver is set to
4,000 feet (1,219.2 meters) automatically. You can increase this
distance to either 4,500 or 5,000 feet (1,371.6 or 1,524 meters) using
the DIP switches. The fifth switch is for selecting receiver type
(active or passive). For Coaxitron® control devices, 750 feet
(228.6 meters) is the maximum distance over UTP.
The TW3001AT allows for multiple applications. For example, you
can connect it to a matrix switcher, such as the CM6800, using a
Pelco passive transceiver. Pelco cameras connect to the BNC connector on the TW3001AT.
Each transmitter has brackets attached to its sides for wall mounting.
