Congratulations on your purchase of the YAMAHA AR-1500LIVE
guitar amplifier.
In order to enjoy the full potential of this product for many years to
come, please read this manual carefully before use.
PRECAUTIONS

amplifier, make sure to plug in the guitar
before plugging in the amplifier. Plugging in
the amplifier first may cause damage to the
speaker.
Be sure to turn the MASTER VOLUME
control of the amplifier counterclockwise to
its minimum position when plugging or
unplugging the guitar cable and turning the
power ON and OFF.
Make sure your amplifier is rated for the AC
mains voltage in your area.
Avoid physical shocks, dropping or rough
handling of the unit. Also, do not move the
unit when using it.
Do not open the case or attempt repairs or
modifications yourself due to any damages.
For safety, always remove the power plug
from the AC wall outlet if there is any
danger of lighting striking in your area.
Move the unit away where there are neon or
fluorescent lights which can cause
interference and noise.
Wipe clean with a dry, soft cloth. Never use
solvents such as alcohol, benzine or thinner
to clean the unit.

There are 2 channels; the clean and drive channels in this amplifier.
Since the clean channel produces lively sound without distortion, it is suitable for electric acoustic
guitar and also for cutting during playing with the non-distortion sound.
The drive channel has 2 volumes and thus can produce various kinds of distortion sound.
Use the VOLUME (PULL SHIFT) knob or the foot switch connected to the F.SW. terminal to
select the channels.

This select switch can be used for two channels.
If you pull the knob outward, it will become the drive
channel.

Controls the drive channel,
Adjust the distortion level with the
GAIN knob and adjust the volume of the
sound with the MASTER VOLUME
knob. Turning the knob more clockwise
increases the effect the distortion.

Connect an optional Yamaha foot switch
FS-1 to this jack and the clean or drive
channel can be selected through this foot
switch.
* Selection of the channels cannot be
done on the VOLUME knob when
connecting the foot switch to this unit.

When using an effector, feed the effect
signal via the SEND jack and retum the
effect signal via the RETURN jack.
These terminals may be also used as an
AUX MIX loop. In this case, the SEND
RETURN jack as input.
