ENGINE ISTALLATION ON THE CHASSIS
In order to protector the engine during its transport,it is shipped
properly packed and fixed to an iron support.(do not throw the
support).Unpack the engine and unscrew it from the support.
The engine nust be fixe to the chassis using the four points and with the
silent-bloks.
See the picture below for the dimension.

FUEL SUPPLY
The chassis is supplied with a fuel tank,a vacuum pump and its manual little pump
Which allows the fuel to reach it. Use a T fitting to install the pressure and nonreturn valve to allow the exceeded fuel to return inside the tank.
Fix the valve with the arrow towards the fuel tank as indicaded in the picture below.

This carburetor has two bleeders on both sides,right and left,andone
bleederunder the tray for the overfill to facilitate the leak of the exceeded fuel
which has to be connected to the fuel tank an proper singe fixing.
Connect the lateral bleeders under the carburetor by a T fitting and let it slide
under the chassis or otherwise you can place them in the tank (it is not
mandatory) and,after having fixed,pierce the upper part at a 10/20 mm
distance.

Connect all the pipes,fix them with clamps and check for possible leakages.
Place the pipes to avoid the contact with any other engine or chassis part
because possible rubbing may cause serious damages.
It is recommended to install a transparent pipe to check the valve correct
working: after pressing a couple of times the manual pump the fuel has to
return in the tank.

**IT IS RECOMMENDED TO SET THE LIMITER AFTER HAVING CARRIED OUT A STATIC TEST
INCREASING THE SPEED AT THE MAXIMUM THRUST THEN SHUT OFF THE ENGINE AND TURN
CLOCKWISE THE CENTRAL BLACK THUMBWHEEL,A NOTCH A TIME AND REPEAT IT UNTIL YOU DECIDE
THE SAFETY POSITION.
** DO NOT CARRY OUT THIS PROCEDURE WITHOUT ELIX**

PRELIMINARY CHECKS AT ANY START UP
FUEL
QT 190 is a four –stroke gasoline fuelled engine :use exclusively
98 octane fuel.Do not use ethanol fuels.
Warning: Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive
START UP
Stat up the engine (make reference to the chassis constructor gas
control indication) after having checked that everything is ok and in
working order.
CHECK:
-Engine screws correct tightening
-Nut and bolt correct tightening
-Motor oil level
-Transmission gear oil level (if applicable)
-Air filter good condition
-Gas cable path and movement control without tension
-Power cable path
-Gas control correct working
-Gas control correct working (make sure that the carburetor
guillotine returns after deceleration)
-Non return fuel pressure regulator correct working which is located along the
return fuel cable in the tank
-Transmission belt tension
-Air filter proper anchorage
-Visual check of possible oil or fuel leakages
-Carburetor bleeders
-Engine screw proper tightening (silent-block)
-Easy starting up
-Oil reaching the minimum temperature (60°)
-Visual check of the rubber connection between carburetor and the intake manifold
-Engine case bleeder (it is provided a steam recovery tank)
-Cable have to be without clogs
FIRST COLD START
Do not start the engine without the helix (to avoid engine over-revving)
Fill the fuel tank with the dedicated little**(Evitare
pump (follow
the chassis
di ingolfare)
constructor indications)** (avoid engine flooding)
During the starting step,always keep at hand the stop device and be
ready to use of any anomaly.
Activate the cold starter.
Carry out a stop engine test and the restart without the starter,let it run
increasin the speed until it reaches the temperature.
Before any take-off check that the engine reaches the maximum runs without
anomalies or hesitations.
CARBURATION CHECKS
Make sure that it keeps an idle at min.1900 rpm/max 2100 rpm
and if on board there are the carburation check intruments,after
having let it work for somo minutes under load,carry out a test on
the ground
Exhaust Gas temperature max.550°
CARBURATION EXTRA :PWK33
It is recommended:
on (1175) 2° notch
Higt temperatures 25°> : use needle
Heights 1500> : use needle (1175) 3° notch
Count the notches starting upwards
Do not change the min.and max.streams
***In case of different conditions replace the streams too
