Transfer card – To copy a program to the
internal load memory of one or more
CPUs without using the STEP 7 Basic
engineering system.
Firmware update card – To update the
firmware of the CPU and all connected
S7-1200 hardware.

Data logs
For storing run-time data values in
continuous log files
DataLog instructions are used in the user
program to create the data log files.
The data log files are stored in CPU flash
memory and the data is organized in
standard CSV (Comma Separated Value)
format.
It is possible to copy the data log files from
the CPU memory using the built-in Web
server or by removing the memory card
and inserting it into a standard SD (Secure
Digital) or MMC (MultiMediaCard) card
slot on a PC or PG.
