EVGA 580 Hydro Copper Installation Guide
Below you will find brief information for waterblock GTX 580/570. The EVGA Hydro Copper 2 Waterblock is designed to cool the GTX 580/570 graphics card by using a liquid cooling system. To install the waterblock, you will need to remove the existing heatsink from the graphics card and attach the waterblock to the GPU. The waterblock has a number of ports for connecting to your water cooling loop, and is compatible with a variety of liquid coolants.

A rin lL I CAE "e 22 | GTX 580/570 nt =a E > Pa Ls a) A The following instructions and pictures are provided to assist in mounting the EVGA Hydro Copper 2 Waterblock to the GTX 580/570 graphics card. 1) With the DVI ports facing you, remove the two (2) black screws and the four (4) hex screws from the DVI bracket. GTX 580/570 2) Flip the GTX 580/570 on its back and that the fan is pointed downwards. Remove all the screws from the underside of the GTX 580/570 (highlighted below). Now carefully remove the top portion on the heatsink from the GPU. GTX 580 ~ 20 Screws| GTX 570 ~ 20 Screws| 3) Remove all thermal paste and pads from the exposed GPU and memory. It is recommended to use 91% Isopropyl Alcohol to aid in removing the stock thermal paste. Once you have properly removed the thermal paste from the IHS and the Isopropyl Alcohol has completely dried, add a pea sized drop of the provided thermal paste to the center of the GPU. Lay the EVGA Hydro Copper 2 Waterblock down with the GPU side facing up. Remove the 2 long coarse threaded screws from the waterblock edge stiffener and set aside as it will be reinstalled in a couple short steps. Place the GTX 580/570 GPU side down on the EVGA Hydro Copper 2 waterblock aligning the screw holes. Once they are aligned begin attaching the card to the waterblock with the included hardware. Ensure to use the 4 spring screws around the 4 outer edges of the GPU while using the smaller black screws for the other screw locations (with the exception of the 2 coarse threaded screws that will be installed into the card edge to support the delrin stiffener) Ensure the long coarse threaded screws are installed completely through the Card PCB screw holes and delrin stiffener into the main delrin faceplate of the waterblock to allow the proper support for your GTX 570/580 graphics card. Intelligent Innovation (1) 6) Install the provided barbs and stop-fittings. Hose clamps are provided to properly secure tubes to the provided barbs. To properly position the barbs and stop fittings, follow the diagram below: This concludes the installation process, the EVGA GTX 580/570 Waterblock is now ready to be used. Important Information EVGA Hydro Copper Waterblocks are leak tested at the factory before shipping to the customer, however, it is still recommended to run a full leak test after mounting of the EVGA Hydro Copper Waterblock has been completed and is fully installed into your water loop. The EVGA Hydro Copper Waterblock is exclusive only to the GTX 580/570 graphics card and was not designed to fit on any other graphics card. It is recommended to use distilled water or any other popular, certified, and approved liquid coolant. Using tap water or any other liquid not meant for water cooling will cause damage such as corrosion to the EVGA Hydro Copper Waterblock. Such damage will void the limited 1 year warranty. It is strongly recommended to not use any aluminum components within the same loop as the EVGA Hydro Copper Waterblock. Mixing copper and aluminum can cause corrosion and any corrosion will void the limited 1 year warranty. Refer to your GTX 580/570 manufacturer's warranty information before installing the EVGA Hydro Copper Waterblock.
