Question
Why does my GV-IP Camera automatically turns black & white in low light conditions? How do
I disable this function?
Answer
When the Day and night (D/N) function is set to Auto, GV-IP cameras will detect the lighting
condition, and automatically switch to color (day mode) under well-lit environment or black &
white (night mode) under dark environment. When set to Color, the camera stays in day
mode. When set to Black and White, the camera stays in night mode.
To prevent the camera from switching to black and white mode, you can set the D/N function
to Color mode in the Web interface. Follow the steps below to change the setting.
1. Log in to the Web interface of the GV-IP camera.

2. In the left menu, click Video Settings.
3. Under Additional functions for Live View, set the D/N to Color.
