FEATURES - Arteco Global
Release Notes 7.1.4.1595 - march 24th, 2017
FEATURES
ARTECO NEXT
• We implemented the https connection to all the Peripherals, making any credentials or sensitive information inaccessible. In the External I/O and Open Connector configuration we added a combo-box that
displays the https port in use, defined during the installation.
• We have established a policy of self-cancellation for all events related to Peripheral (Connectors, I/O, etc.).
This value is set by default to 60 days but can be changed from the configuration file “baseconfig.xml” of
Arteco Server. Every day at 3:00 AM UTC the system deletes all the older events older according to the
time set for the self-cancellation.
• “Prohibited Stop”, “Speedtreshold” and “Counting” plugins have been removed (available only on Extreme
versions).
• Selecting the server installation language is possible during the installation of the suite and is separated
from the choice of the measuring system. With this change, the text of the notification email sent by the
server will be consistent with the language set.
• The type of “generic Rtsp IP” video channel is now able to also connect to Http type videosources. This
protocol is typically used with compressed MJPEG streams, increasing the Arteco compatibility towards
particular models of cameras.
• We modified the Open Connector behaviour: when you see the result of a query of an Open Connector
event, it is not changed by any new event coming from the LIVE stream. This was necessary because in the
case of frequent Connector events, the operator could not see the result of his query because they would
be overwritten by new events.
Native Export
We introduced the “Native Player” feature, available on the “Rec” environment of Arteco NEXT.
This functionality is an improvement of ARTECO VIEWER, which no longer will be supplied as completely replaced and improved by the Native Player.
To export a recording portion of a video channel is sufficient a NEXT connection to the server with the credentials of an authorized NEXT user.
Now it is possible to export portions of recordings in proprietary format.
The exported recordings will be able to be displayed (with no need to access the server) by Arteco NEXT and
the new “Native Player” function, which certifies its integrity and authenticity.
Axis Edge
This feature allows the importation of recording portions from Axis cameras (firmware compatibility 5:40 or
higher) to the Arteco storage.
The recovery of the Edge records only happens if the connection between the camera and the server is missing.
Upon reconnection, the video stored on the cameras will be retrieved from the camera memory and stored in
a secondary track of the Arteco Server’s storage.
Currently you can access the second track Edge only by Native Player
Notes
It is not possible to recover the audio track. You can not make the recovery of the video track if you use the
MJpeg codec on the camera, you can only use the H.264 and Mpeg4.

Arteco-Mobile Web e App
Improved the users access policy of the Web-client. From now on all access to Live and Recordings (via Webclient, Arteco Mobile NEXT and Arteco NEXT) will comply with the user policies such as the server-side configuration.
