Hl DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
1. Opening The Panel
1-1. Remove the grille assembly. (Fig. 1)
— 1-2. Remove the five (5) screws marked (4a) and two (2) screws marked (52). These screws are located
on the underside of the keybed. (Fig. 3)
1-3. Lift the panel from the front and hold it with your hand. Use the stay which is provided with this unit
to hold the panel assembly. Insert the stay pin as shown in the illustration making sure that it can not
come off. (Fig. 2)

2-2. Remove the twelve (12) screws marked G3a), then remove the shield cover-L. (Fig. 4)

10-3. Remove the six (6) screws marked 486), then remove the earth plates from the keyboard assembly.

Power supply voltage
Before testing for specifications, confirm AC line voltage is the rated value + 10%. Then check that
DC power supply are as follows:

INITIAL TOUCH AND EXPRESSION PEDAL AND FOOT SWITCH TESTS
Pressing the REGISTRATION MENU 9 button will activate these tests.
(A) Play a scale on the upper and lower keyboards. Check that the value in the TEMPO display
changes from 00 to 7A (in other words, apply light touch and then heavier touch).
Operate the expression pedal throughout its range. Check that the number on the display changes
from 00 to 7F (in other words, starting from the raised position to the lowered position).
Check that the BAR BEAT indicator turn on when the foot switch is pressed.

LED TEST
Pressing the REGISTRATION MENU 11 button will activate this test.
Check that all LED indicators light. Press the button once more, then the all LEDs will turn off.

3-7 SWITCH TEST
Pressing the REGISTRATION MENU 13 button will activate this test.
Press the panel switches consecutively, then the number indicated on the display will increase. The
value shows the number of the switch to be pressed. When all switches are pressed, the display will
shows “/[] [][]"". |
Pressing another REGISTRATION MENU button while pressing and holding the [C 42] and [F2] and
[G # 2] keys on the lower keyboard will activate the selected test.
4. NOISE LEVEL
Check that the noise level is less than — 50.0dBm. During t this check a low pass filter with cut-off
frequency of 12.7kHz, — 6dB/oct must be used.
5. POWER ON RESET
While pressing the REGISTRATION MENU 1 button, turn on the POWER switch, then the factory set-
tings will be restored. |
