1. Function
This wet wheel sharpener enables gently and effective grinding and sharpening of tools,
blades, drills, knifes etc. It comes with three grinding stones. One stone turns in a water
tank for gently wet grinding.
2. Rules for safety operation
Safety rules
Before using this tool, read these instructions carefully and keep the manual for
future reference.
Keep work areas clear. Cluttered work areas and benches can put you in a situation
where injuries occur.

Consider work area environment. Do not expose tools to rain. Do not use tools in
damp or wet locations. Keep work areas well lit. Do not use tools in the presence of
flammable liquids or gases.

Guard against electric shock. Avoid contact between any part of your body and
earthed or grounded surfaces.

Work clear of other persons. Do not let any persons, especially children, not involved
in the work you are performing, to touch the tool or the extension cord. Keep them
away from the work area.

Lock tools away when not in use. When not in use, tools should be stored in a dry
locked storage container, cupboard drawer or cabinet, out of reach of children.

Do not force the tool. It will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was
intended.

Use the right tool. Do not use tools for purposes for which they are not intended.

Dress appropriately. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery; they can be caught in
moving parts. Non-skid footwear is recommended when working outdoors. Wear
protective hair covering to contain long hair. Use protective clothing and gloves.
Use safety glasses. Use face or dust mask if grinding operations create dust.

Do not abuse the power cord. Never yank the power cord to disconnect the plug
from the socket. Remove the power cord by gripping the outer edges of the plug.
Keep the cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges.

Maintain tools with care. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean for better and safer
performance. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories. Inspect
tool power cords periodically and if damaged have them repaired by an authorized
service facility. Inspect extension cords periodically and replace if damaged. Keep
handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Check periodically the water level in
the tank.

Disconnect tools. When not in use, before servicing and when changing accessories
such as grinding stones, disconnect tools from the power supply.

Avoid unintentional starting. Ensure switch is in ‘off’ position when plugging in.

Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, use common sense and do not operate the
tool when you are tired or under the influence of Alcohol or Drugs.

Check damaged parts. Before further use of tool, it should be carefully checked to
determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for
alignment of moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting
and any other conditions that may affect its operation. A guard or other part that is
damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized service centre
unless otherwise indicated in this instruction manual. Have defective switches
replaced by an authorized service centre. Do not use the tool if the switch does not
turn the tool on and off.
Check periodically the distance between tool rest and grinding wheel. This diameter
of grinding wheel decreases with use.
3. Assembling and preparing for use
Attach the tool rest (6) by using the wing nuts (5), the long screw (4) and the star washers
on the device. The round side shows to the outer. Pan the tool rest to the grinding wheel.
Always maintain 1/16” clearence between tool rest and grinding wheel.
Check periodically the distance between tool rest and grinding wheel. This diameter of
grinding wheel decreases with use.
For grinding drill bits you can mount the miter gauge (7) on the tool rest.

Pour in the water
Pour water into the grinding wheel tank until the grinding wheel is wet. Do not overfill.

4.Operation
- Turn the sharpener on by the switch on the back. Let get the motor his full idle speed
before begin to grinding. Check the grinding wheel direction. it must rotate in direction
of arrow as shown on housing.
- Take the tool to sharpen on the tool rest and guide the blade from top or front to the
grinding wheel.
- Loosen wing nuts to position tool rest to the appropriate angle. Retighten wing nuts.
Sharpen large items
- To sharpen large items or long knives, lower tool rest and move knife slowly across
wheel surface.

Flat stone
- After you have finished sharpening there may be a fine burr on the cutting edge. This is
removed by drawing the blade across the flat stone at approximately the same angle it
was sharpened at be sure to moisten nthe flat stone.
Round stone
- The round stone may be removed from holder for hand sharpening or it may be placed
in side holder.
Sharpening drill bits
- Align tool rest with wheel.
- Set miter gauge to the angle of drill bit point, approximately 30˚.
- Slowly rotate drill bit when pressing against wheel.

Miter gauge
- The miter gauge may be used from three different locations on the table top.
- Tighten screw to hold desired angle.
5. Changing the grinding wheel
If the grinding wheel becomes damaged or excessively worn, it must be replaced.
Grinding wheel
- Unplug machine.
- Loosen all top housing screws.
- Separate top housing from base
- Lift grinding wheel assembly from bottom housing
- Replace and assemble
Flat stone
- The flat stone may be replaced by removing from top housing. Double-backed adhesive tape will hold the stone in place.

6. Maintenance
WARNING!
To reduce risk of injury, always unplug your tool before performing any maintenance.
- Before and after use examine the general condition of your tool. Inspect guards, switches, tool cord and extension cord for damage. Check for loose screws, misaligment,
binding of moving parts, inproper mounting, broken parts and any other condition that
may effect its safe operation.
Check the water level in the tank.
- Keep your tool one time in every year to a service station.
The regulary maintenance program:
- Lubrication
- Mechanical inspection and cleaning (gears, spindles, bearings, housing etc.)
- Electrical inspection (switch, cord, armature etc.)
- Testing to assure proper mechanical and electrical operation.
Cleaning
- Clean dust and debris from vents. Keep tool handles clean, dry and free of oil or grease. Use only mild soap and a damp cloth to clean your tool since certain cleaning
agents and solvents are harmful to plastics and other insulated parts.
