OWNERS' MANUAL

NOTE: RECORD THE SERIAL NO. ON WARRANTY CARDS
BEFORE ASSEMBLY AN INSTALLATION OF CEILING FAN.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
I . Before you begin installing the fan, discormect the power by removing fuses or turning off circuit breakers.
2. BE CAUTIONS! Read all instructions and safety infonnation before installing your new fan. Review the
accompanying assembly diagrams.
3. Make sure that all electrical connections comply with local codes, ordinances, or National Electrical Codes. Hire a
qualified electrician or consult a do-it-yourself wiring handbook if you are unfamiliar with installing electrical
wirmg.
4. Make sure the installation site you-choose allow the fan blades to rotate without any obstructions.
5. If your are mounting the fan on a ceiling outlet box� (not included) use a metal octagonal outlet box. Secure the box
directly to the building structure. The outlet box and its suooort must be able to support the moving weight to the fan
(at least 35 lbs.) Do not use a plastic outlet box.
6. After you install the fan, make sure that the safety
cable and all connections are secme to prevent
the fan form failing.
7. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or

electrical shock, do not use this fan with any
solid-state speed control device.
8. WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury,
do not bend the brackets when installing the
brackets, balancing the blades, or cleaning the fan.
Do not insert foreign object in between rotating
fan blades.
IMPORTANT
This fan is provided with a 3 speed pull chain type
oa.sPJN_[)=switch for.choice of speed. The other revers1ble
switch / pull chain switch allows for forward or
COUPLING __.._,.
reverse action of the blades. Do not operate reversing
switch while fan blades are in motion. Fan must be
turned off and blades stopped before reversing blade
direction.

I . After opening top of carton, remove molDlting
hardware package from styrofoam inserts. Do not
discard fan canon pr styrofoam inseits, should
this fan be returned to the factory for repairs, it
must be shipped in its original packaging to
insure proper protection against damage that
might exceed the initial cause ofretum.
2. Remove all 8 or IO motor screws and spring
washers from motor. (See Fig. I)
3. Carefully check all screws, bolts on fan motor
assemble to see that they are secured well.
4. CAUTION: Before proceeding. be sure to shut off electricity at main switch or circuit breaker in order to avoid
electrical shock.
MOUNT WITH THE LOWEST MOVlNG PARTS AT LEAST 2.1 METRES OR 7' ABOVE FLOOR.
