Frequently asked questions

While the thermometer is off, press and hold the ON/OFF button for about 5 seconds. Release the button and you will see the display. Press it again to switch between °F or °C. Power off automatically after the switch is completed.

Clean the thermometer tip and probe using isopropyl alcohol or soap and water before and after each use. DO NOT immerse in water over 3 feet (91.4 cm).

Press the ON/OFF button. You will hear a short beep then all segments will display for 1 second with red backlight for 0.5 seconds and green backlight for 0.5 seconds. This is a function check indicating the unit is working properly. Then enter the mode selection. Press the ON/OFF button. Display and flashing with green backlight for 3 seconds, if no pressing within 3 seconds, a short beep sound is heard, then the last memory will display and then display “-“, “- -“, “- - -“ circularly to start measuring. A long beep (stay for 1 second) is heard when the temperature is during 89.6°F~99.5°F (34°C~37.5°C) with green backlight displayed. Four times Bi-bi are heard when the temperature is higher than 99.5°F/37.5°C with red backlight displayed. Two times Bi-bi are heard first, then four times Bi-bi are heard when the temperature is higher than 109.2°F /42.9°C with icon and red backlight displayed.
