BOOKLET MAKING ONLINE
Its versatility and short set up times make
the Foldnak 8 outstanding in the production of booklets at a profit. The favourable price/benefit ratio enables you to
accept even specialist orders and calculate
them to your advantage.
Foldnak 8
• Free choice of format
Oversize format A3 to A5 possible as
standard, i.e. booklets with any final size
between A4 and A6.
The comprehensive standard features
include electric delivery (adjustable), automatic release, side jogging, copy counter,
control lamp, feed control, staple empty
control and staple misscontrol.
The Foldnak 8 can also be retrofitted with
a collator or Trimmer, enabling up to
2,000 booklets an hour to be collated,
stapled, folded, pressed and trimmed
on-line.The Foldnak 8 can be connected
to all standard bench-top collators.
For on-line face trimming, the Nagel
Trimmer presses and trims without operator intervention. The advantages over a
cutting machine are no staff required, higher working speed and no intermediate
stacking. There is no need for pressing
under the press bar before trimming,
avoiding malfunctions and spoilage.
• Loop staples
Without converting the machine, you can
use loop staples or normal staples. Up to
four staples per booklet.
• Mobile clenchers
Mobile clenchers ensure particularly longlasting brochures.
• Accurate spine stapling
The patented Foldnak principle staples
and folds consecutively without moving
paper, which is why the staple always sits
accurately in the fold.
• Minimal set up time
No settings required except for side and
back stops.
• Corner stapling
On-line or off-line.
• Economical
Fault sensors avoid waste such as unstapled brochures or off-centre stapling.
Operation is simple. Parts subject to
wear can be replaced, keeping maintenance costs low.
Better than press rollers: the Trimmer press
COLLATING AND FACE TRIMMING
Trimmer
• Pressing
before trimming ensures booklets lie flat
with a sharp fold. The process of pressing
achieves better results than press rollers.
• Format conversion
Only the trimming position has to be set
using the hand wheel.
• Upper transport belts
come together in the shape of a funnel.
Even thick booklets which tend to open
because of thick cover sheets run along
the paper path without problems.
• Adjustable belt run-on
So that the face trim runs exactly parallel
to the fold of the brochure, the transport
belt for aligning brochures runs on briefly
when the brochure reaches the stop. This
period is infinitely adjustable, avoiding the
sheet on the bottom being dragged out of
alignment in the case of thin cover sheets.
Collator
The Nagel ZN-10 collates from ten
stations, intelligent sensors detecting miss
feed, double feed and overlapping feed. A
batch counter, copy counter, job separation function and offset stacker all come as
standard.
The Foldnak 8 and collator »talk« to one
another and in the event of faults, the
system switches off automatically, avoiding
spoilage. Also available with only 8 stations as the ZN-8.

Foldnak special stapling head
The Foldnak special stapling head is
especially robust. Parts subject to wear
can be replaced without tools.
The rapid-fit closure enables faulty staples
to be removed quickly and easily.
The special stapling head processes Nagel
loop staples or normal staples without
any need for conversion.
