Below you will find brief information for Synthesizer JUPITER 8. The JUPITER 8 is software synthesizer that you can install and use in the SYSTEM-8. The JUPITER 8 can also be played without using a computer on the SYSTEM-8 by itself. The knobs and sliders of the SYSTEM-8 can be used to edit the sound. You can also use the JUPITER 8’s internal sound engine by setting the SYSTEM-8’s menu item “SYSTEM” 0 “SOUND” 0 “Local Sw” to “SURFACE.”

Connect the SYSTEM-8 to your computer and turn on the SYSTEM-8's MODEL [PLUGOUT 1–3] button to which you plugged-out the JUPITER-8. You can play the JUPITER-8 on the SYSTEM-8 by itself, without using a computer.

To send a memory, click the [SEND] button on the JUPITER-8. To load a memory from the SYSTEM-8 to the JUPITER-8, click the [GET] button.

Go to the Setting window by clicking the [SETTING] button and select “SYSTEM-8 CTRL” for the MIDI CTRL Input and MIDI CTRL Output.

In the Option window, check the “SetMIDI Control Mapping for SYSTEM-8” item to enable MIDI mapping settings for the buttons and sliders.
