Application
Processing Conditions: From + 10° C and up to 80 % relative air humidity
Suitable Substrates :
Primed and base-coated wood, metal
Substrate Preparation :
Clean, dry and free of dust, oil, grease, wax and corrosion products.
Remove damaged, not adhesive old layers of paint. Sand and clean solid,
old layers of paint. Sand in fibre direction weathering affected wood till
sound. Clean thoroughly and remove all traces of sap stain, resin and
resin gall. Round the sharp edges (see BFS-Merkblatt Nr. 18).
Application Process :
Rolling, brushing
optimal results by 80 - 100 µm wet film thickness

Delivered ready to use
if necessary add Mipa KH-Verdünnung or Mipa Terpentinersatz
Drying

Prolonged drying times after application due to higher coat thickness and
lower temperature conditions.

Special Recommendation
Generally, to ensure maximum performance, the cleaning methods and the application process have to
be chosen according to the condition of the object and its purpose
White colour or colours based on white exhibit the tendency to change their shade especially by poor
day light or artificial light. This is a system characteristic. This phenomenon becomes stronger in case of
an ambient with ammonia content.
The final gloss degree is reached within about 3 weeks.

Regular and professional maintenance is essential for the serviceability and the durability of the treated
wood construction elements. Further instructions as well as the required maintenance schedule are
given in BFS Merkblatt Nr. 18 des Bundesausschusses Farbe und Sachwertschutz, Appendix C.
Safety Instructions
Keep out of the reach of children. Suitable extinguishing agents: sand, CO2, extinguishing powder. Do
not use water. If accidental swallowed, seek medical advice and show this container or label.
Cleaning of Tools
Tools should be cleaned immediately after use or at longer breaks with cellulosic diluent Mipa
Nitroverdünnung.
