sizes with the new 5.0 mL Eppendorf tube, for users with midsized sample volumes.

Combitips advanced®
Description
The Eppendorf Combitips have been completely redesigned
and optimized to meet the increased requirements of a modern
laboratory to a greater extent than ever before. The result
is the Combitips advanced. As they offer a wide variety of
advantages in comparison with the Combitips plus and other
dispenser tips, we talk about the 360° Evolution!
The Combitips advanced also function according to the positive
displacement principle. Thus they always dispense the correct
volume independently of the density of the liquid and its flow
characteristics (e.g. increased vapor pressure or increased
viscosity). Working with radioactive, or toxic materials also
becomes safer due to the hermetically sealed piston preventing
aerosol contamination.

The epMotion M5073: 2 systems in one. First, a customized
system for automated nucleic acid purification of 1 to 24
samples with special MagSep reagents. The Eppendorf
EasyCon control panel and Prep Assistant software provide
simple operation with step-by-step guidance through the
process. Secondly, a flexible system for automating timeconsuming and complex pipetting procedures with the epBlue
software, making routine liquid handling tasks easier than ever.
The pipetting procedure is more precise, reproducible and fully
standardized, making your workplace more ergonomic and

Description
The epMotion P5073: 2 systems in one. First, a customized
system for automatic PCR preparation in the 96 or 384 plate
formats. The Eppendorf EasyCon control panel and PCR
Assistant software provide simple operation with step-bystep guidance through various PCR preparations. Secondly, a
flexible system for automating time-consuming and complex
pipetting procedures with the epBlue software, making routine
liquid handling tasks easier than ever. The pipetting procedure
is more precise, reproducible and fully standardized, making
your workplace more ergonomic and safer. The epMotion
P5073 is delivered with all accessories required for preparing
PCR samples; only consumables need to be ordered separately.

Description
MagSep reagent kits are used with the epMotion M5073 to
automatically purify nucleic acids from biological samples.
Magnetic beads, Proteinase K and all other reagents are
pre-prepared in special trays for the epMotion for 4 sets of
24 purifications. MagSep reagents deliver highly purified
nucleic acids with very high yields. The special Prep Assistant
software, combined with the epMotion M5073, offer simple,
step-by-step guided operation through automatic nucleic acid
purification for everyday use.

Description
Eppendorf Tubes are the benchmark for simple and safe
sample preparation from 0.5 to 2.0 mL. For larger volumes,
15 mL and 50 mL conical tubes are available. With medium
sample volumes you may face an issue: they need to be
processed with large conical screw cap tubes - impractical,
inconvenient and often prone to contamination. Eppendorf
now offers the »missing link«: the Eppendorf Tube 5.0 mL.
This product fills the gap between existing tube versions and
enables the simple and safe processing of sample volumes up
to 5.0 mL!

Description
Now you can control the temperature of your samples with
ease: the new ThermoTop, with unique condens.protect
technology, reliably prevents the formation of condensate
on the tube lid and tube wall. Operation is simple, intuitive
and does not require an additional cable connection. When
the ThermoTop is placed on the device, it begins heating
immediately. The temperature optimally adapts to the test
temperature to ensure that it does not negatively affect the
sample: optimal sample protection with optimal reaction
conditions produce optimal results.

When the ThermoTop is placed on the device, it begins heating

Advantages of condensation prevention during incubation
Evaporation of H2O and condensation on the tube lid changes
the buffer concentration in the reaction. Enzymatic reactions
can no longer run under optimal conditions.
Use of the ThermoTop effectively prevents the formation of
condesate, thus guaranteeing optimal reaction conditions.
Vessels also no longer need to be spun down at the end of

Microcentrifuges
Description
Centrifuge 5430 and Centrifuge 5430 R combine the proven
features of Eppendorf microcentrifuges and bench-top
centrifuges. Their large rotor selection offers a wide variety
of application possibilities. Despite their compact size, with a
width of approx. 35 cm, the centrifuges can easily attach rotors
for microplates and 15 mL and 50 mL conical tubes. Now, the
rotor program has been expanded with additional QuickLock®
rotors. This includes a 16-place rotor for 5.0 mL Eppendorf
and a swing-bucket rotor (24 x 1.5/2.0 mL) in addition to

Service
Rotors and buckets are subject to normal wear and tear during
regular operation and may be damaged as a result. Surface
scratches, among others, can affect the chemical resistance
and accelerate the corrosion process. The stress of high
number of cycles increases the likelihood of microscopic
cracks. These microcracks can be detected early on during
a qualified inspection, which will allow the rotor to be
exchanged before serious damage has occurred.
Our certified, qualified service technicians use sophisticated
borescope devices to detect invisible, yet critical, cracks and
scratches. If none or very few surface changes are identified,
the rotor can be used according to instructions - or for an
additional year if the inspection was performed at the end of
the recommended service life.

Description
The BioSpectrometer fluorescence has all of the features
of the BioSpectrometer basic, plus the option to determine
very low concentrations of biomolecules using fluorescent
dyes. In the absorption range, spectra measurements can be

the measuring range by a factor of 1,000, for detecting DNA
for example. This means that DNA can be reliably quantified
well beyond the common lower photometric detection limit of
approx. 2.5 ng/µL, and up to a concentration of 2.5 pg/µL.
The fluorescence intensity is determined using an excitation
wavelength of 470 nm and emission wavelengths of 520 nm
and 560 nm. Well-known dyes for nucleic acid and protein
quantification, such as PicoGreen, OliGreen, RiboGreen and
NanoOrange, can be measured.

The Eppendorf BioPhotometer D30 is the 3rd generation of
Eppendorf BioPhotometers, which have become an established
standard in the field of life sciences. The measurement
data will be recorded for fixed wavelengths, making the
BioPhotometer D30 the ideal device for routine applications.
Data are clearly processed making the evaluation of results fast
and simple while minimizing the risk of mistakes. Additional
assistance for the user, including comparative spectra that

Furthermore, all relevant ratios are automatically determined

Description
The Eppendorf µCuvette G1.0 microliter measuring cell is the
perfect tool for measuring high concentrations in the smallest
volumes. The higher the sample concentration, the shorter
the optical path length used to measure the sample. With an
optical path length of only 1 mm, the µCuvette G1.0 features
a light path that is ten times shorter than the light path on
standard cuvettes. This allows nucleic acid concentrations
to be measured with high reproducibility in a much higher
concentration range without prior dilution. Self-absorption
of the µCuvette G1.0 is very low, meaning that the entire
measuring range of the photometer can be used.
The µCuvette G1.0 has been exclusively developed for the
Eppendorf BioPhotometer and Eppendorf BioSpectrometer.

Description
The PlateReader AF2200 is the ideal device for quantifying
biomolecules such as nucleic acids and proteins, and
measuring fluorescence-based assays in a plate format. Thanks
to the large selection of filters, a wide variety of applications
can be carried out in the UV/Vis range and a high number
of fluorescence dyes can be detected. The device software
features optimized, preprogrammed applications and a flexible
selection of individual parameters. It also offers the option
to freely program all parameters in order to meet special
requirements. The PlateReader AF2200 unites the simplest
programming and evaluation with maximum flexibility.
For the most frequently used applications, Eppendorf offers

Description
As an optional accessory for the PlateReader AF2200,
Eppendorf offers a microvolume plate that can be used to
measure up to 16 samples in the microvolume scale. The
Eppendorf µPlate G0.5 features simple handling and cleaning,
and is used to measure high concentrations in the smallest
volumes. The short optical path length of just 0.5 mm allows
high nucleic acid or protein concentrations to be measured
with high reproducibility and without prior dilution. Because
the concentration is determined using a sample-specific factor,
a standard series measurement is not required.

Description
The DASGIP DASbox is a new and unique mini bioreactor
system suitable for microbial fermentation and cell cultivation.
It was designed as a 4-fold modular system with up to 32 or
more parallel operating bioreactors. With working volumes
of 60 – 250 mL the DASbox is the optimal tool for advanced
process development and Design of Experiments (DoE)

Bioprocessing
Description
DASGIP’s software DASware migrate provides the ability
to operate a set of Eppendorfs New Brunswick BioFlo/
CelliGen 115 and 310 as well as CelliGen BLU Bioreactor
units collectively - including shared recipe-, process data- and
information management. All relevant process parameters can
be simultaneously controlled, monitored and online visualized
within a single user interface. Thereby, DASware migrate for
CelliGen and BioFlo units provides all crucial advantages of the
DASware bioprocessing software to users in microbiology and
cell culture. Utilizing this solution enables access to DASGIP’s
advanced control features and powerful Microsoft Excel
reporting.
