Printer - Network Reset Instructions

Below are instructions detailing how to reset the network card in the WIC printers. This is useful if you need the printer to forfeit its static IP address, and revert back to DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) to grab a new, accessible,

IP address on a new network. This document is a consolidation of Source Technologies documentation.

ST9612 Model WIC Printer

1. Power off the printer and remove the network cable.

2. Open the front door

3. With the cover open, hold the (red X) button while powering on the printer

4. Continue to hold (red X button) until the lights stop and the !

light is lit up steady (Takes about 20 seconds to fully complete)

6. Slowly press the (red X button) 14 times. Each press will display a different light code. At the end of 14 presses, the lights should display this:

If the display is different, power the printer off and start from step 3 again.

7. Press and hold the (green arrow) button until the lights begin to cycle to the right and then release.

8. Once the lights stop and return to the pattern found in step 6, power the printer off, reconnect the network cable, and power it on again.

9. When the printer returns to a ready state, press and release the settings page.

10. Confirm on the Ethernet 10/100 setup page that the network settings are reset.

ST9712 Model WIC Printer

1. Power off the printer and remove the network cable.

2. Open the front cover by pressing the black button on the right side of the printer:

3. With the cover open, hold the (Continue) button while powering on the printer.

4. Continue to hold the (Continue) button for 10 seconds and close the cover. The will flash until the display changes to the pattern below.

5. Press the red X button (directly below the Continue button) 2 times. The display should be lit as shown below with the paper, toner, and the (Continue) button flashing.

(exclamation light) lights up and then release.

7. The lights on the front should cycle across and then the printer will reset.

8. The printer will indicate it is ready when the (indicator) light is solidly lit.

9. The network is now cleared and will obtain an IP address if plugged into a network.

ST9715 Model WIC Printer

1. Power off the printer and remove the network cable.

2. Press and hold the (OK) and (arrow) buttons while powering on the printer, until the “Config Menu”

<Print Quality> is displayed on the LCD screen. This will appear after a series of dots showing the printer is starting up.

3. Press the (arrow) button six times until “Factory Defaults” is displayed on the LCD screen.

4. Press the (OK) button.

5. Press the (arrow) button one time, “Restore STD Net” should be displayed on the LCD screen.

6. Reconnect the network cable and press the (OK) button.

7. The network settings will clear, and the printer will obtain an IP address.
