use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the

7. The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after
use. Unplug Electric Kettle from outlet and allow to cool
before cleaning or removing parts.
Do not operate Electric Kettle with a damaged cord, plug, or
other malfunction. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. See “Warranty
and Service Information.”
9. The Electric Kettle is only to be used with the base provided.
Use of replacement parts not recommended by manufacturer
may result in fire, shock, or injury to persons.

The Electric Kettle should only be used to heat water.
Do not use the Electric Kettle without lid properly closed.
Do not use the Electric Kettle with a loose or weakened
handle.
Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
Do not clean Electric Kettle with abrasive cleaners, steel
wool, or other abrasive materials.
8. This appliance is intended to be used in household and
similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other
working environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.
Not designed for commercial use.

overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.

NOTE: The Water Kettle has a grounded
plug. To reduce the risk of electrical shock,
this plug will fit in an outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit in the outlet, contact a

Do not use an extension cord. If the power
supply cord is too short, have a qualified
electrician or serviceman install an outlet
near the appliance.

entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

Disposal of packing material
The packing material is 100% recyclable
and is marked with the recycle symbol ¢_ 3.
The various parts of the packing must
therefore be disposed of responsibly
and in full compliance with local authority
regulations governing waste disposal.
Scrapping the product
- This appliance is marked in compliance
with European Directive 2002/96/EC,
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE).
- By ensuring this product is disposed of
correctly, you will help prevent potential
negative consequences for the environment
and human health, which could otherwise
be caused by inappropriate waste handling
of this product.
- The symbol ZA on the product or on the
accompanying documentation indicates
that it should not be treated as domestic
waste but must be taken to an appropriate
collection centre for the recycling of
electrical and electronic equipment.

Before first use, fill the Electric Kettle to the maximum level, then boil and discard the water.
NOTE: The Electric Kettle is designed for water only. Do not put any other liquids
or substances in the Electric Kettle.
IMPORTANT: Before cleaning always
disconnect the Electric Kettle from
electrical outlet. Make sure the Electric
Kettle has cooled completely.

be cleaned with a damp cloth. Dry and Lo

The Electric Kettle features a removable mesh filter that traps scale deposits for cleaner
water. The filter will need to be cleaned periodically —more often if you have hard water.

NOTE: If calcium deposits remain on the filter, let it stand overnight in a solution of water
and white vinegar. Rinse the filter thoroughly and replace in the Electric Kettle.
To get the best performance from your Electric Kettle, decalcification will be necessary.
Calcium deposits may form on the interior metal parts of the Electric Kettle. The cleaning
interval will depend on the hardness of the water you put in the Electric Kettle.
