MAINTANANCE ADVICE
Heat damages batteries. Avoid placing them near a heat source. The maximum
performance is achieved at an operating temperature of 20∫C.

Flammable gas may be generated by the batteries. Please do not install them in
spark-risk areas.
When installed in closed areas, please provide adequate ventilation.
Batteries are made in high-impact ABS plastic resin.
The contact with an organic solvent atmosphere or adhesive material may damage
them.
INSTALLATION AND OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
Items supplied
1 Bollard
Connect terminals in correct sense, avoid direct welding. Use a welder with a
maximum power of 1000W for 3 seconds.
1 control box
Allowed operating temperature range: -15∫C to 50∫C.
1 Remote
controller
Recommended operating temperature range: 5∫C to 35∫C.
Use impact absorbing material in case of installing batteries in vibration and impact
risk areas.
Clean the batteries with a damp cloth. Never use oil, solvents or fuel.
Never attempt to dismantle the battery, since it contains sulphuric acid, a highly
corrosive product. . In case of contact with the acid, rinse immediately with plenty of
clean, flowing water and seek immediate medical attention.
2 magnetic loops
Do not dispose the batteries in a fire.
To avoid damages to the equipment, please do not mix old and new batteries nor
batteries with different characteristics.

Stainless steel core
(main element of the bollard. Made in stainless steel and complies
with IP67. Inside, a linear actuator can be found, which is
responsible for the vertical movement of the bollard. The core is
fixed to the built-in box at the lower part).

Connection cable (15 m)
Made in stainless steel supplied with legs to make clamping to
concrete easier. Solid and high-resistance piece.
It is supplied with a 15m hose with an end
ready to be connected to the bollard.
A 75mm diameter drain pipe comes
out of the bottom and into the drains.

Installation
Operation of the Bollard

1. Normal mode:

The bollard is operated using the remote control, both for lowering and raising it. The vehicle need not
be on the magnetic loop situated in front of the bollard.

The vehicle must be positioned over the magnetic loop situated in front of the bollard. Once it is in
place, pressing the remote control lowers the bollard. When the vehicle has passed over the bollard and
the other magnetic loop the bollard comes back up automatically, with no need to press the control.
(If a vehicle is going in the wrong direction the bollard does not work).
A. Make a square hole into the ground measuring
650x650mm and a depth of 1100mm.
The bollard is delivered in a closed set.
B. Install a 90mm drain tube in the base of the hole.
If it is not possible, a drain layer must be provided.

The vehicle must be positioned over the magnetic loop situated in front of the bollard. Once it is in
place, pressing the remote control lowers the bollard. When the vehicle has passed over the bollard and
the other magnetic loop the bollard comes back up automatically, with no need to press the control.
(Works with vehicles going in both directions).
Once the concrete is set connect the bollard to the control box.
Note: In the absence of any information from the customer, bollards are configured in normal
mode, and the customer can change this configuration whenever they wish.

This activates the timer in order to restrict or allow traffic within specific time slots.
ELECTRIC CONNECTION
H. Remove the square cast iron cover by
unfastening the 4 Allen locking bolts.
Optional connections:

- Traffic lights (red and green).
- Fitting for opening or closing the bollard using an external control (button, entry control, interphone,
etc.).
- LED connection to the bollard (bollards fitted with LED only).
K. Coil the supplied cable connector ejected
from the staple (align the centring slot of the
male connector to the female connector).

In case extra remote controllers are supplied, they will have to be configured with the bollard. Its
configuration will be made in the bollardís control box. Steps:

C. Make a drainage for water evacuation.
F. Place the closed bollard in the hole on top of the base.
D. Make a concrete base to ensure the ground is even and the
bollard can be placed on top. Leave the central part of the base free
to evacuate rainwater (through drainage).
G. Connect the corrugated tube to the side hole of the built-in
box, so that no concrete can penetrate into the box. The corrugated
tube should be inserted max. 1 or 2 cm. to avoid any contact with
the mobile part of the bollard.
E. The corrugated tube from the control box to the bollard must be
placed 250mm from the ground.
H. Fill the base with draining rocks.
I. Fill the hole with concrete (avoid the concrete being too liquid so that

the drain hole is not obstructed).
Press the red button for 2 seconds until a ìbeepî is heard.
J. To unlock the connector (fixed by a staple),
pull up. It will eject easily.
I. Remove the manhole cover, loosen the 4 Allen
screws to reach the corrugated tube (connection
cable from the bollard to the control box).
On the remote control being set up, press the top button until
a bleep sounds to save the code of the bollard. After a few
seconds 2 bleeps in succession will be heard, and the remote
control can then be used with no problem.

These programming instructions are also shown on each remote
control box.
M. Secure the cable to the bracket located on the
side perpendicular to the housing bracket to avoid
the friction of the cable.
L. Once coiled, put the cable back onto the staple
by slightly pressing down until you hear a click.

If it is installed outdoors, we recommend you
to install it inside a vandal proof box.

After making all the connections, turn the switches in the electrical box on, first the GENERAL and then the one for the BOLLARD.
While the bollard switch is off it cannot be either raised or lowered.
When the box is connected to the power, the bollard resets itself automatically. If it does not do so, contact the manufacturer.
Raise and lower the bollard several times to make sure the mechanism works properly.
