The PDA-184 software is government-developed,
government-owned, and is available from DISA
as part of this total solution.1 PDA-184 provides
a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that allows
radio users to transmit and receive a variety
of data types at much higher speeds than is
possible with comparable proprietary solutions.
The implemented Data Control (DC) waveform
enables more reliable data communication
by providing data compression, packet
communications, and adaptive error-correction
processing of user data to allow high-throughput
and reliable data transfer even over noisy
communication channels.
• Developed and supported by DISA
Simple Configuration
• Easy to configure GUI
• Transmits and receives data at much higher
speeds than with comparable proprietary
solutions currently available
• Delivers reliable communication via:
– Data compression
– Packet communications
– Adaptive error correction
• Provides reliable high-throughput data
transfer over noisy communication channels
• Designed for use with HF, UHF, VHF, and
SATCOM radios and networks
• Versatile enough to be applied to data
communication networks that use other
wired or wireless transmission media
Easy-to-use Interface
• Innovative link layer software design for
speedy customization
• Quick Installation
– Few simple steps
– Automatically installs the necessary files
and programs to the target disk
Able Communications Technology Corporation, under contract to DISA, provides engineering and software development expertise for
the PDA-184 Software in addition to supporting the revision of MIL-STD-188-184 along with other UHF SATCOM MIL Standards.
