4 Disassembly and Assembly Instructions
Important notice: Before replacing any components, make sure to turn OFF the vacuum cleaner.
Remove the power plug from the outlet.
* Caution:
1. Do not attempt to modify the machine, parts, etc. when marking repairs.
2. Even if a wire is partially disconnected, do not attempt to repair and/or connect it when a wired unit is available as
service parts. Replace the overall section with a new wired unit.
3. Pull out and/or insert the fastening terminal without twisting it.

4.2.
1. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver between the dust box lid
and its fitting section on the body and move it in the direction of the arrow to remove the dust box lid from the body.
Separate the upper and lower
body units
1. Set the body sideways and remove the two screws fixing
the upper body U from the bottom.
2. Remove the two screws fixing the upper body.

3. Lift the upper body U to separate it from the lower body.

1. Remove the potentiometer knob and switch cover U.

Removal of the P.C.B. ass'y
and motor
1. Remove the motor case U with the motor and the P.C.B.
ass'y fitted from the lower body.
5. Push the brake lever and loosen the spring winding the
cord (loosen the pre-winding).
* Caution for re-assembling: There are four pre-windings.
2. Remove the P.C.B. ass'y from the motor case U.
6. Remove the screw fixing the cord reel U and the body
partition U.
7. Remove the cord reel U.

5. Remove the noise supporessor, motor support rubber
(rear), and motor support rubber (front).
3. Remove the motor support front from the motor and then
cut the Wire band fixing the thermal protection device to
remove it.
4. Remove the lead wire, from the P.C.B., connected to the
motor ass'y terminal.
The P.C.B. Ass'y is removed simultaneously.
* Precautions for re-assembly
Tape is pasted on the lead wire terminals of components on the P.C.B. Ass'y.
The tape must not be removed when components are
replaced.
If the tape is removed by mistake, then use tape for
servicing.
