Special Arming Modes

N O T E
Special Arming modes is a partial arming function available for all Videofied® alarm panels.
Special arming allows to arm only a fraction of the installation, for example to arm only a garden or a garage when the user is in
another part of the installation.
Access to Special Arming menu

Area : 1234
Define the arming of each area in this specific mode. Each state is
described in page 3.
On Alarm :
AREA : 12 3 4
STATE: AAAA
ON ALARM :
SIREN
SILENT ARMING
Disabled / Enabled
PROFILE NAME :
SP1
This parameter sets how the panel responds to an intrusion for each arming
mode :
Siren
Immediate triggering of all sirens
Delay Beeps
Entry/Exit delay beeps, then triggering of all sirens
Silent
No Sirens, No Beeps
Without Siren
Beeps on the keypad only
Silent Arming :
Unavailable in Full Arm
Enable this parameter to disable exit delay beeps for this special
arming mode.
Profile name :
Name for the special arming mode, this name will be displayed during
the arming.
Examples : Night, Holidays, etc...

Arming States
For each arming mode you can define how each on of the 4 areas
is armed.
AREA : 12 3 4
STATE: AAAA
By pressing on the digit associated with the area, the system
changes the arming state of the chosen area.

A
Default parameter. In this arming state, every detector in the area will
be armed regardless of their “DEVICE TYPE” parameter.

In this arming state, every detector in the area will be disarmed
regardless of their “DEVICE TYPE” parameter.

In this arming state, all detection devices set as perimetral or
perimetral+ext in their “DEVICE TYPE” parameter will be armed.

In this arming state, all detection devices set as external or
perimetral+ext in their “DEVICE TYPE” parameter will be armed.

Most of the time, A and D arming states will be enough to set up the system.
We recommend only using those (see special arming exemple on page 4).
When you register a door contact in the system, the keypad displays “IS
THIS A PERIMETER DEVICE?”. Press OK or YES

Special Arming example
On this installation, the user
wants to protect the outside
of the house with a “Night”
Special Arming.
Area 2
The inside of the house must be
disarmed whereas the outside
must be armed.
Assign all external detectors
to the same area (Area 1 here to
make use of the automatic entry
delay).
Area 4
Area 3
The other detectors may
be assigned to other areas
indifferently.

STATE : ADDD
This mode has been named NIGHT to be identified by the user while it is
arming.
When this mode is armed, only external detectors will be armed and will
trigger an alarm in case of intrusion.

If you use P and E arming state, you will need to change the detectors
“DEVICE TYPE”.
Once in the device list, select the device to configure then go to the
following menu :

Arming of all areas and all devices. Use a badge
or a user code and press

SP1 :
Partial Arming (1) is enabled by entering the user
code and pressing

on the remote
keyfob RC.
RC Keyfob
SP2 :
Partial Arming (2) is unavailable on the XL panel
keypad. It is enabled by pressing the
XMA/XMB keypad or
XMA/XMB
key on a
on the remote keyfob RC.
