A - SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1 - OPERATING PRECAUTIONS
• The cameras must not be installed where the
lens filter may be vulnerable to scratching and
dirt.
• The camera connection is not
designed for outside installation and should not
be installed in locations that are subject to
extremes
of humidity or temperature. You should
therefore protect the power and data
cables if they are used
outdoors.
• Do not expose the lens to direct sunlight or any
reflected light source.
• Do not connect a contact which
supplies voltage to the snap-on terminal
on the camera as this could cause
irreparable damage to the electronics.
• Do not daisy-chain extension cords and/or
multi-socket adapters.
• Do not install near acidic chemicals, ammonia
or sources of toxic gasses.
• Do not unscrew the lens completely.
• The installation and use of the camera must
comply with local laws.
3 - RECYCLING
This logo denotes that devices which are
no longer in use must not be disposed
of as household waste as they are likely
to contain hazardous substances which
are dangerous to both health and the
environment. Return the equipment to your local
distributor or use the recycling collection service
provided by your local council.
2 - MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

before carrying out any maintenance.

C - installation
1 - mounting and installing the camera
• Mount the camera using suitable screws and wall plugs for the type of surface (the screws and plugs
supplied are suitable for solid walls).
• Make sure the camera is properly secured to prevent it from falling.
2 - CONNECTING THE CAMERA
• Connect the network cable to a modem/router. In most cases, the camera is
immediately detected by the modem/router which gives it Internet access.
Do not connect your camera to your computer. This will not provide it with access to the internet.

D - configuration
1 - ACCESS TO CAMERA CONFIGURATION
• Insert the installation CD provided into a reader
and run the IP Camera Search Tool program:
This will detect your camera on the network and
show its IP address.
When you have finished changing the username and
password, you will be asked to log back in.
2 - ACCESS TO ALL THE SETTINGS
2.1 -Live video
• Double-click on its name to open the camera
configuration in your web browser.
• Your browser will need an additional module to
display the image from your camera correctly and
will ask you if you want to install it. Accept the
request to allow your browser to display the image:
Note: Depending on which browser you are using,
the procedure may differ but the principle remains
the same: you must permanently allow the module
to run if you want your camera to work properly in
your browser.
• Select the display language, then enter the
username and password for connecting to
your camera. The default username is admin
and the password is left blank, so you should
leave the field empty. At the first connection,
the camera will immediately ask you to replace
the default username and password to improve
security:

2.2 -Settings
• You can access your camera settings by
clicking on 'Réglages [settings]' at the top of
the window:

2.3 -Example: programming an email alert to be
sent when motion is detected
To program an alert to be sent when motion is
detected, you need 2 email addresses: the address
of the sender which will be used by the camera,
and the address which will receive the alerts. The
camera uses the username and password of the
sender address to connect and send the email.
Configuration depends on the chosen email
provider's settings.
Note: the 2 addresses can be the same (you will
simply be sending an email to yourself)
In our example, we use www.gmail.com:
sender-address@gmail.com sends the alerts,
addressee@gmail.com receives the alerts. Both
addresses need to have been created beforehand.

Configuration wizard: provides a quick way to change the IP address of the camera or set up a WiFi connection
Status: shows the state of the camera,
its functions, the list of users currently connected and the connection log
Basic settings: camera name, time displayed, usernames and passwords
Network: wired, wireless, email, FTP server and P2P connection settings (simplified remote viewing)
Video: settings for image quality, frame rate, data embedded in the image, snapshot schedule by time or week

5 Connection required: indicates whether connection is compulsory (authentication) to send an email. In our example using gmail: Yes (in other words: you cannot send an email via gmail if you are not logged into your account).
6 SMTP user name: Name you need to enter to connect to the mailbox which will send the alerts. In our example using gmail, this is the sender address: sender-address@
gmail.com
7 SMTP password: The password used to
log into sender-address@gmail.com in our example
8 E mail sender: Re-enter the address used to send the alerts: sender-address@gmail.
com. Click on 'Test' to check that your settings are correct and that the camera is able to connect to the email account you entered for sending the alerts.
9 First addressee, etc.: Use this space to enter the address or addresses which will receive the alerts. In our example: addressee@gmail.com
10 IMPORTANT: When you have finished configuring the device, do not forget to click on 'Sauver [Save]' at the top of the screen to confirm the entries you have made.
Note: it does not matter who the email provider of the
addressee or addressees is as it is the email provider
of the sender which dictates what needs to be entered.
However, you must ensure you check that the alerts
are not treated as spam by any of the addressees.
• When you have finished configuring your camera,
it will be able to send emails. You must now tell
it when to send them by clicking on 'Alarme
[Alarm]', 'Détection de mouvement [Motion
detection]':

Tick the 'Activer [Enable]' box to enable motion detection
Sensitivity: At the 'haute [high]' setting, even the smallest movements on the screen will set off an alert At the 'basse [low]' setting, only large subjects will set off an alert (for example: a human being, but not a dead leaf in the camera's field of vision). Adjust to
suit the camera's field of vision and the desired objective.
Pause trigger: pause between alerts if motion is detected over an extended period
Tick 'envoyer e-mail [send email]' on alert
Detection zone: when you click thisbutton, a grid is superimposed on the camera image. If motion is detected in a red box, an alert is triggered. If motion is detected in a clear box, no alert is triggered. Click on the boxes to change their status from enabled (red) to disabled (clear), e.g. to avoid monitoring a window pane and setting off an unnecessary alert because of something going on outside.
This grid shows which half-hourly periods
in the week motion detection should be enabled. Click on one of the boxes to enable detection during the corresponding half-hour period. You can also click on the a day of the week or a time to enable an entire row or
column. To enable 24/7/365, click on 'Tous [All]'. Red boxes indicate that detection is enabled.
IMPORTANT: When you have finished configuring the device, do not forget to click on 'Enregister [Save]' at the top of the screen to confirm the entries you have made.
This completes the configuration. From now on, any
motion detected by the camera in the zones and at
the times you have specified will trigger an email alert.

E - USING THE PRODUCT ON A SMARTPHONE
The free application used to control, configure and
view the cameras remotely on your smartphone
is available from the Appstore and Google Play.
Download, install and run the 'ThomView' app.
Although we have described how the Android app
works here, the same applies to the iPhone.
• Run the application on your smartphone or
tablet, then click on the
icon. Next, click on
icon.

• Next, enter the name you want to give
your camera (Device Name), its user name
(Username) and its password (Password). The
default username is "admin" and there is no
pre-set password.
• Click on OK to confirm, then click on the name
of your camera. Next, click on the
Video
icon to display your camera feed.
Note: there is a setting in the application that lets
you enable connections to the camera only when
the smartphone or tablet is connected via WiFi and
not over the mobile data network.
Tick or untick 'Only connect in Wi-Fi network' as

F - USING THE PRODUCT ON A COMPUTER VIA THE THOMVIEW SOFTWARE
You can only configure the camera and image
display as described in paragraph D - 1 - ACCESS
TO CAMERA CONFIGURATION if your computer
is on the same network as your camera.
The ThomView software on the CD provides an easy
way to connect to the camera over the internet and
avoids these limitations.
• Install the program on the computer you want
to use to connect to your camera.
• Run the software on your computer. The default
username and password of the software are
both 'admin'.
, then on 'Add
• Click on the 'Settings' icon
P2P Camera'.
• This brings up a window for you to enter the
name you want to give your camera, the 'user'
username of your camera (default = admin),
its password (default = none, leave blank) and
your camera UID. The UID is a unique code
assigned to your camera.
• Confirm by clicking on 'OK', then click on the
'Live view' icon.
• Your camera is displayed in the 'default' list in
the top left of your screen. Click on its name to
display the feed.
The ThomView software lets you manage several
cameras at once and gives you complete control
over each one and their respective settings:

Search, pairing and configuration menu for each camera. Click on 'Search Cameras' to find all the cameras on your computer's network, click on 'System', then click on any
of the cameras in the list on the right to display and change its configuration.
Click on the name of your camera to display its feed. This brings up a list; click on any row
to enable that camera's mic (Audio), start recording a video on the computer (Record), take a snapshot (Capture) and/or activate the camera's loudspeaker (Talk).

G - USING THE PRODUCT WITH A THOMSON NETWORK VIDEO RECORDER
Your camera is compatible with the ONVIF protocol
and can be paired with a network video recorder.
• Connect your camera to the network or one
of the recorder network sockets and run a
camera search on the recorder.
Your network recorder needs the following
information:
• The IP address of your camera: if the recorder
cannot find the camera automatically, provide
it with the IP address discovered by the 'IP
Camera Search Tool' supplied on the CD (see
paragraph D - 1 - ACCESS TO CAMERA
CONFIGURATION)
• Your camera's ONVIF port: if the recorder does
not discover this automatically, the default port
number is 888.
• A username and password: these are the same
usernames and passwords you use to connect
to your camera (default username = admin;
default password = none)
• When you have entered all the information into
the recorder, add the camera in the same way
as you would with the original cameras. After
a few seconds, your camera feed will appear
beside the feeds from your original cameras.
You will then be able to record videos onto the
recorder's hard disk and use the recorder's
motion detection, just like with the original
cameras. You can also continue to use your
IP camera as before with your smartphone or
computer.
H - USING THE PRODUCT WITH A THOMBOX
1 - Automatic configuration
• Your camera is optimised for use with a
Thombox. Go into the interface of your
Thombox to pair your camera and click on
'Ajouter une nouvelle caméra [Add new
camera]' in the Cameras widget:
• Wait until the search for network cameras has
finished
• Do not select a camera, and close the
‘Add new camera' window
• Your camera is automatically configured
in the Thomson interface. Enter your username
and password to sign in:
• If you want your camera to send images to the
Thombox when motion is detected, click on

of the window. Your Thombox will then write
the destination for the images to the camera
settings.
• Synchronise your box.
• This completes the configuration.

labour for 2 years from the date of purchase.
Proof of purchase must be retained for the
duration of the warranty period.
• The warranty does not cover damage caused
by negligence, knocks, or accidents.
• This product must not be opened or
repaired by any persons not employed by
AVIDSEN.
• The warranty will be void if the device is
tampered with.
3 - HELP AND ADVICE

designing our products and drafting these
instructions, you do encounter difficulties
when installing your product or you have any
questions, we urge you to contact one of our
specialists who will be glad to help.
• If you encounter operating problems during
the installation or a few days afterwards,
it is essential that you are in front of your
installation when contacting us, so that one
of our technicians can diagnose the source of
the problem, as it will probably be the result
of a setting that is incorrect or an installation
that is not to specification. If the problem is
caused by the product itself, the technician
will give you an RMA number so that you can
return the unit to the shop. Without this RMA
number, the shop may refuse to exchange
your product.
