• Please note that the cutting blades continue to run for a short period after you let go of the throttle trigger

–This is called the flywheel effect.

• Do not lend or rent your power tool without the instruction manual. Be sure that anyone using your power tool understands the information contained in this manual.

• Persons with pacemakers only: The ignition system of your power tool produces an electromagnetic field of a very low intensity. This field may interfere with some pacemakers.

Consult your doctor if you have concerns.

• Use your hedge trimmer only for cutting hedges, shrubs, scrub and similar materials.

• It must not be used for any other purpose because of the increased risk of accidents and damage to the machine. Never attempt to modify your power tool in any way since this may result in accidents or damage to the machine.

• Do not use a pressure washer to clean your power tool. The solid jet of water may damage parts of the power tool.

• Do not spray the machine with water.

• Work calmly and carefully – in daylight conditions and only when visibility is good. Stay alert so as not to endanger others.

• Your power tool produces toxic exhaust fumes as soon as the engine is running. These fumes may be colourless and odourless and contain unburned hydrocarbons and benzoyl.

Never run the engine indoors or in poorly ventilated locations.

• The dusts, vapour and smoke produced during operation may be dangerous to health. If the work area is very dusty or smoky, wear appropriate safety equipment.

• When working at heights:

Read this manual in full before operating this machine for the first time. If you have any questions regarding the operation of the machine, please contact the manufacturer.

CAUTION! In order to ensure your safety you must follow the safety, installation and operation instructions. Any person who uses this machine should be fully aware with the potential risks.

! You must be 18 or over to operate this machine. Children or persons of Diminished responsibility must not operate this machine.

! The manufacturer shall not be held liable if the unit is altered outside of the information printed in this guide.

! Always turn the engine off before performing any maintenance

! Some components will become hot during use, specifically – The engine, bump head, brush cutter blade, the hedge trimmer and pruning saw.

Protecting yourself

! Do not use this machine in areas with poor ventilation or indoors, when switched on, the machine produces Carbon monoxide!

! Do not operate this machine in adverse weather or in situations where sure footing is not guaranteed.

! Exercise common sense when operating this machine, do not operate when under the influence of alcohol or medication which may impair judgement and concentration.

FUELLING

! Always switch the engine off before fuelling.

Open the tank cap slowly to avoid spillage due to internal pressure. If the unit has recently been in use, allow to cool down first. Not allowing the unit to cool could cause the fuel to ignite.

When replacing the fuel, be careful not to over fill the tank. Any spillages should be cleaned up immediately.

After filling ensure that the cap is secured properly and that it will not work loose while the machine is switched on.

VIBRATIONS

Vibrations from the machine make it difficult to hold for long periods of time, this time can be prolonged by wearing suitable gloves.

Protecting others

! Do not allow anyone to approach the machine while in use, ensure the working area is clear of animals and pedestrian traffic.

! Avoid jamming the blade as this can make the machine suddenly difficult to control.

! Do not use the machine for any purposes other than outlined in this book.

! It is good practise to clearly mark your working area to ensure pedestrians do not stray into the area.

! Turn the machine off when moving location.

Protecting the Machine

! Only use recommended parts, consult the manufacturer to obtain these.

! Always use the correct tool for the correct job. Use the tool only for its designed purpose.

! Ensure that the machine is stored in a dry area in a secure place. Parts of the tool are sharp and should not be left within reach of children / pets.

! Inspect the machine for damage before use, and ensure all components are properly aligned.

Minimum Age

Only persons under 18 years of age are legally allowed to operate this machine unless under training supervision.

Recommended use

The unit is recommended for general use in agriculture, forestry and gardening.

Emergency Action

In the event of injury, seek qualified medical assistance and apply first aid to the injury. If you are the responder, protect the injured person from further injury.

! The user is responsible for any Material / personal damage resulting from improper use.

! Please note that if not properly used, the following injuries can be caused –

Safe Operating Instructions

! Do not operate the machine if you suspect the machine has a problem.

• Always visually inspect to see that the blades, bolts, chain and cutter assembly are not worn or damaged.

Ensure the engine vents are free from any dirt or remnants.

• Operate the machine at the lowest possible engine speed to do the job.

• Keep your hands and feet clear of the attached tool when the machine is running.

• Keep both hands firmly on the machine at all times.

• Always use the machine with the supplied carry strap.

• Always wear appropriate hand, feet and hearing / eye protection when operating the machine.

• Do not use metal cutting coils.

• Pay attention, the machine will continue to run for five seconds after the engine has stopped.

Fuel safety

! Petrol is highly flammable. Take the following precautions:

• Store fuel in containers specifically designed for this purpose. DO NOT store in the mixing bottle.

• Refuel outdoors only and do not smoke while refuelling.

• Add fuel before starting the engine. Never remove the fuel cap when the engine is running or the engine is hot.

• Avoid spillage. If petrol is spilled, do not attempt to start the engine, move the machine away from the spillage to avoid any danger of petrol vapours igniting.

• Tighten the fuel tank cap tightly.

The long reach petrol hedge trimmer is ideal for trimming, shaping and maintaining a variety of garden hedges. Robust yet easy to transport and manoeuvre it is ideal for domestic use in gardens and back yards. A high quality 2 stroke, air cooled engine and long reach pole extending to 3 meters ensure excellent performance and long lasting durability.

2. Choke lever: Facilitates the engine starting.

3. Fuel Pump: increases fuel supply when cold starting.

4. Carburettor screw: For adjusting the idling speed.

5. Engine support : For supporting the machine when on the ground

6. Fuel tank: For storing a fuel mixture comprising of petrol and engine oil.

7. Exhaust (with spark arrestor):

Reduces operating noise and directs the exhaust gas away from the operator.

Attaching the handle

Pole Attachment

To attach the different attachments to the machine, you need to connect them to the coupling on the end of the fixed engine pole.

1. Open the coupling and turn the retaining handle to loosen the connection.

3. Close the coupling again, tighten the retaining handle, and pull and twist the pole to ensure that it is secure.

2. Line up the hole on the required tool pole as shown below and push firmly into the coupling.

The shoulder harness clips to the handle of the main engine as shown below.

Starting the Hedge Trimmer

! Please be aware that a certain degree of effort is required to successfully start the multi-tool, please persevere if you are struggling to start the engine.

• Pull the switch into the on “I” position and hold the throttle lockout and then pull the throttle trigger.

• Now we need to prime the engine with fuel for use. Press the priming bulb on the unit several times (8-10) to prime the machine.

• While still holding the above, press in the switch next to the on/off switch.

• Slowly release all three and you should note that the switch stays pressed in.

• To start the engine, push the choke lever upwards and pull the starter cord.

**TAKE CARE WHEN HANDLING THE HEDGE

CUTTER AS THE BLADES ARE SHARP **

Hedge cutter parts

• Do this until you hear a splutter or cough from the engine. Once this has happened, push the choke lever down and pull the starter cord and the engine will start. You can then pull the throttle trigger to start the tool working.

**Please note that it can take several

attempts at pulling the starter cord to start the machine.

• To turn the machine off push the on/off switch to “O”.

The Hedge cutter

The hedge cutter is ready assembled and just needs to be attached to the main engine unit.

Refer to the “Pole attachment” guide on how to do this.

When you are ready to use the hedge cutter ensure that the unit is switched off and then remove the plastic guards from the blades

1. Cutting blade: Steel blade for cutting hedges and bushes.

2. Blade Guard: Protect the cutting rail when the tool is not in use.

3. Blade gear: Convert the rotation of the angle gear when the cutting blade moves back and forth.

4. Locking mechanism: Holds the cutter in the desired position.

5. Angle Gear: Transmits the rotational movement of the drive axel to the blade gear.

6. Adjusting lever: Adjust the cutting rail to the desired angle.

7. Locking lever : Lock and unlock the cutting rail

8. Drive shaft tube: Surrounds and protects the drive shaft between the coupling sleeve and gear.

1. Unfold the hedge cutter attachment by pressing the two locking levers (1)

2. While still pressing the locking levers rotate the adjusting lever

(2) to the desired angle, then fix the locking lever to the gear ring.

Adjusting the idle screw

To increase and decrease the idle adjustment

(the speed and frequency between engine revs and power of the machine) please follow the information below.

• Start the engine and place the product on a flat surface.

• Locate the idle adjustment screw.(Underneath the air filter assembly)

! Please note, if the screw is wound in/out too far, the engine will stall.

Fuel pipe / Tank grommet exchange

! Please ensure the unit is completely drained of fuel before attempting this procedure.

• Unscrew the retaining cap and remove the air filter cover. **The

retaining cap will be a Philips screw on certain models**

• Remove the fuel pipes from the carburettor using long nosed pliers and a small flat headed screwdriver, noting the location of each pipe before removal.

Black pipe = Feed/Supply

Clear Pipe = Return

• Using a flat headed screwdriver, turn the screw in either direction or listen to the noise from the engine as a guide to the current engine speed.

Unscrew the fuel cap and remove it by pulling the retaining strap from inside the fuel tank.

•

Using a blunt pointed object, push the fuel pipe grommet into the fuel tank, then use your long nosed pliers to withdraw the part through the fuel fill hole.

Insert the replacement fuel pipes / grommet into the tank using a large flathead screwdriver to push it into position. Then reattach the pipes to the carburettor connections

*WD40 may be sprayed around the

grommet to ease it into position.

•

Finally Replace the retaining strap back into the fuel tank then screw the cap back in place.

Fuel filter Exchange

! Please ensure the unit is completely drained of fuel before attempting this procedure.

• Remove the fuel tank cap by unscrewing anti - clockwise and pull out the cap retaining strap from the tank.

• Using a piece of curved wire (e.g. a tent peg or old coat hanger ) Hook the fuel feed pipe within the tank and pull out as shown , the fuel filter is attached to the end .

• Remove the fuel filter by gripping the feed pipe firmly and pulling the filter.

*If the pipe is damaged or frayed at the end then trim it down with a pair

of scissors.

• Connect the replacement fuel filter by pushing it into the fuel feed pipe, ensuring the connection nozzle is not visible.

• Feed the fuel pipe and filter back into the tank and replace the cap.

Changing/checking the sparkplug

! Exercise caution when following this section, a danger of electric shock exists.

! Ensure all fuel has been removed from the unit.

• Remove the sparkplug cover and dust shield by firmly pulling it away from the spark plug

• Using the provided tool, place the socket over the spark plug and firmly strike the screwdriver rod with the palm of your hand in an anticlockwise direction to loosen the plug, then unscrew the rest of the way to remove.

• To check for a spark, the tip of the plug must touch a metallic surface.

The easiest method is to push it against the metal area on the engine next to where the plug normally sits.

• Finally, position the switch to the “I

“setting on the throttle control.

• At this point, if you are exchanging the plug, discard the old one and pick up a new plug. Remove the dust shield by pulling it off the spark plug cover and push the plug into the rubber cover cap ensuring it goes all the way in.

• With the plug held against a metal surface (and ensuring that you are

hold of the rubber plug cover to avoid

electric shock) pull the recoil starter while observing the gap between the electrode and the earth contact for a spark (fig 1)

• Once the above is complete, reinsert the spark plug by performing the first two points in reverse.

Air filter cleaning / exchange

• Unfasten the retaining cap and remove the filter cover. **on some

models the retaining cap will instead be a Philips screw **

• Remove the foam air filter by carefully pulling it away from the engine body

• If cleaning the filter, inspect for and brush off any debris. Then clean in warm soapy water and allow to fully dry before putting it back onto the machine

• If replacing, discard the old foam filter and fit the replacement in its place.

*To help prevent fine dust particles from entering the engine add a few drops of motor oil to the foam filter and scrunch it up in your hand before replacing.

• The carburettor is accessed by removing the screw or unfastening the plastic fastener (model dependant) as circled below.

• Finally, replace the air filter cover and fasten it back into position.

• Once the cover is removed, use the provided Allen key to remove the metal retaining bracket.

Carburettor exchange / inspection

The following procedure will show you how to remove your carburettor and either exchange or inspect it for problems

• Once the retaining bracket is removed, pull it away from the machine and also pull the remainder of the black air filter housing off. You will now have access to the carburettor (circled)

• Remove the fuel lines from the carburettor by pulling them off with your fingers.

• Using the provided spanner loosen the cable retaining nut and the cable will fully detach from the carb.

• Next we need to remove the throttle cable from the carburettor, to do this, Pull the black plastic housing clockwise as shown below, this will give some play allowing the cable to be removed.

• The carburettor is now detached.

*If replacing with a fresh carburettor, please follow the instruction in reverse to fit.

*If inspecting only, check that no debris is evident and that the rubber gasket on the carburettor is not damaged or warped.

! Toujours éteindre l’appareil avant de procéder au remplissage du carburant

Ouvrir lentement le bouchon du réservoir afin d’éviter les éclaboussures dues à la pression interne. Si l’appareil a été récemment utilisé, laissez-le refroidir avant ouverture. Dans le cas contraire, le carburant pourrait prendre feu.

Lors du remplissage, veillez à ne pas trop remplir le réservoir. Toute éclaboussure devra

être nettoyée immédiatement.

Après remplissage assurez-vous que le bouchon est bien fermé et qu’il ne bougera pas lors de l’utilisation de l’appareil.

VIBRATIONS

Les vibrations de l’appareil peuvent rendre difficile une utilisation prolongée, le temps d’utilisation peut être prolongé en portant des gants adaptés.

! N’autorisez personne à s’approcher de l’appareil pendant qu’il est en marche, assurez-vous que la zone est vide de piétons ou d’animaux.

! Evitez de bloquer la lame car cela peut rendre l’appareil soudainement difficile à contrôler.

! N’utilisez pas l’appareil pour d’autres usages que ceux décrits dans ce mode d’emploi.

! Il est conseillé de marquer clairement la zone dans laquelle vous utilisez l’appareil pour éviter que des piétons la traversent.

! Eteignez l’appareil quand vous le déplacez.

Utilisation En Toute Sécurité

! N’utilisez pas l’appareil si vous soupçonnez un problème.

• Toujours procédez à une inspection visuelle pour s’assurer que les lames, la chaîne et le dispositif de coupe sont en bon état. Assurez-vous que la bouche d’aération du moteur n’est pas obstruée par des débris ou des restes d’herbe.

• Utilisez la machine à la vitesse de coupe la plus basse possible pour accomplir la tâche.

• Gardez vos mains et pieds éloignés de l’outil de coupe lorsque l’appareil est en marche.

• Gardez les deux mains fermement sur l’appareil lorsqu’il fonctionne.

• Utilisez toujours l’appareil avec la courroie fournie pour la porter.

• Toujours utilisez des protections appropriées pour les mains, les pieds,

les yeux et les oreilles lors de l’utilisation.

• Ne pas utiliser des bobines de coupe en métal.

• Soyez vigilants, l’appareil continue de fonctionner pendant 5 secondes après l’arrêt du moteur

Sécurité du carburant

! L’essence est extrêmement inflammable.

Prenez les précautions suivantes :

• Stockez l’essence dans des récipients spécialement conçus à cet effet. NE PAS stocker dans la bouteille de mélange.

• Replissez le réservoir en plein air, et interdit de fumer pendant le remplissage du réservoir.

• Ajoutez le carburant avant de démarrer le moteur. Ne jamais retirer le bouchon du réservoir lorsque le moteur est en marche ou chaud.

• Evitez toute éclaboussure. En cas d’éclaboussure, n’essayer pas de démarrer le moteur, éloigner la machine de l’éclaboussure pour éviter tout danger liée à l’inflammation de la vapeur d’essence

• Fermez le bouchon du réservoir à essence fermement.

Que trouve-t-on dans la boîte ?

Le taille-haie à longue portée à essence est idéal pour raccourcir, former et entretenir une diversité de haies jardins. Il est robuste pourtant facile à transporter et à manœuvrer, il est idéal pour un usage domestique dans les jardins et cours de maison. Le moteur

Monter la poignée

Assemblage du Manche

Pour assembler les différentes pièces à la machine, vous devez les connecter au bout du couplage du manche fixé au moteur.

1. Ouvrir le couplage et tourner la manivelle pour dévisser la connexion.

1. Capuchon de remplissage (carburant)

2. Levier de commande : facilite le démarrage du moteur.

3. Pompe à essence : augmente l’alimentation en essence lors du démarrage à froid.

4. Vis du carburateur : pour régler la vitesse de ralenti.

5. Support du moteur: Pour soutenir la machine lorsqu’il est au sol

6. Réservoir à essence: pour stocker un mélange de carburant comprenant de l’essence et de l’huile à moteur.

7. Echappement (pare -étincelles):

Réduit le bruit lors de l’utilisation et redirige le gaz loin de l’utilisateur.

2. Alignez le trou sur le manche à outil requis et pousser fermement dans le couplage.

• Mettre l’interrupteur en position ‘I’’ et garder le verrouillage de l’accélérateur ensuite tirer la gâchette d’accélération. blocage de l'accélérateur

Fermer le couplage à nouveau, serrez la manivelle, tirer et tourner le manche pour s’assurer que c’est sécurisé. accélérateur

• Tout en gardant le verrouillage de l’accélération, appuyer sur le bouton à côté de on/off.

Assemblage de la sangle d’épaule

• Relâcher lentement tous les trois boutons et notez que le bouton reste enfoncé.

La sangle d’épaule s’attache à l’anneau de la poignée principale comme montré ci-dessus.

Demarrer l’outil Multifonction

! Veuillez notez qu’un certain effort physique est nécessaire pour démarrer avec succès l’outil multifonction, veuillez persévérer si vous avez du mal à démarrer le moteur.

• A présent, nous devons amorcer le moteur à essence pour l’utiliser. Presser la poire d’amorçage de l’appareil plusieurs fois (8/-10) pour amorcer la machine.

Le taille-haie

Le taille-haie est prêt à être assemblé et a simplement besoin d’être monté sur le moteur principal. Référez-vous au guide

« manche de fixation » pour savoir comment procéder.

Lorsque vous êtes prêt à utiliser le taillehaie assurez-vous que le moteur est

éteint, ensuite retirer le carter de protection en plastique des lames.

1. Lame de coupe: Lame en acier pour couper les haies et les broussailles.

2. Carte de protection: Protéger la lame coupant lorsque l’outil n’est pas utilisé.

3. L’engrenage de la lame : Convertir l'angle de rotation de l'engrenage lorsque la lame de coupe se déplace d'avant en arrière.

4. Mécanisme de verrouillage: garde la lame dans la position souhaitée.

5. Angle d’engrenage: Transmet le mouvement de rotation de l'axe d'entraînement à l'engrenage de la lame rotative.

6. Réglage du levier: Régler le rail de coupe sur l’angle souhaité.

7. Levier de verrouillage : Verrouiller et déverrouiller le rail de coupe

8. Tube de l’arbre de commande: entoure et protège l'arbre d'entraînement entre le manchon d'accouplement et la manivelle.

1. Déployer la monture du taille-haie en appuyant sur les deux leviers de verrouillages (1).

2. Tout en appuyant sur les leviers de verrouillages, tourner le levier de réglage (2) dans l’angle souhaité, ensuite fixer le levier de verrouillage au boitier à vitesse.

Réglage de la vis de ralenti

Pour augmenter ou diminuer le réglage du ralenti (la vitesse et la fréquence entre le régime moteur et la puissance de la machine) veuillez suivre les instructions ci-dessous.

• Démarrez le moteur et placez le produit sur une surface plane.

• Repérez la vis de réglage du ralenti.

• En utilisant un tournevis à tête plate, tournez la vis dans un sens

• Ôtez les tubes d’alimentation du carburateur en utilisant une pince à long bec et un petit tournevis à tête plate, en notant la position de chaque tube avant de l’ôter.

• En utilisant un objet non tranchant, poussez le tube de carburant à l’intérieur du réservoir, puis utilisez la pince à long nez pour en tirer une partie à travers le trou d’alimentation

Attachez ensuite les tubes au carburateur comme précédemment.

• Ôtez le bouchon du carburant en le dévissant dans le sens contraire aux aiguilles d’une montre et retirez la lanière retenant le bouchon.

(par exemple un cintre en métal), accrochez le tube d’alimentation du carburant à l’intérieur du réservoir et tirez-le comme sur la photo. Le filtre à carburant est accroché au bout du tube. filtre à essence

• Retirez le filtre en tenant le tube fermement et en tirant sur le filtre.

*Si le tube est endommagé ou usé au bout, vous pouvez en couper un bout avec une paire de ciseaux.

Connectez ensuite le nouveau filtre en le poussant à l’intérieur du tube d’alimentation, en s’assurant que le bec de connexion n’est

• Replacez le tube d’alimentation et le filtre dans le réservoir puis replacez le bouchon.

Changment ou verification de la bougie

! Réalisez cette opération avec prudence, il existe un risque de choc électrique.

! Assurez-vous que l’appareil est bien vide en carburant.

• Retirez la protection de la bougie en la tirant fermement.

• En utilisant l’outil fourni, placez la douille sur la bougie et donnez un coup ferme avec la paume de la main sur le tournevis dans le sens contraire aux aiguilles d’une montre afin de défaire la bougie, puis dévissez complètement.

• Pour vérifier la bougie, le bout de celle-ci doit être en contact avec une surface métallique. La méthode la plus facile est de la mettre en contact avec la partie en métal du moteur à côté de laquelle la bougie est normalement installée.

• Enfin, positionnez l’interrupteur de la poignée sur “I”.

• A ce stade, si vous changez la bougie, retirez l’ancienne puis prenez une nouvelle bougie. Retirez la protection contre la poussière en la tirant de l’ancienne bougie puis poussez la bougie dans la protection en plastique en s’assurant qu’elle est totalement enfoncée.

• En tenant la bougie contre une surface métallique (et en utilisant la

partie en plastique pour la tenir et

éviter un choc électrique), tirez le

démarreur en observant l’espace entre l’électrode et le contact de terre pour voir une étincelle (fig 1).

• Ôtez le filtre à air en mousse en le retirant avec prudence du moteur.

• Une fois ceci fait, réinsérez la bougie

• en suivant les deux premières étapes en sens inverse.

Nettoyage ou changement du filter à air

• Dévissez le couvercle et ôtez la protection du filtre ** sur certains

modèles le couvercle sera remplacé par une vis Philips

• Pour nettoyer le filtre, repérez et brossez tout type de débris. Puis nettoyez le filtre dans de l’eau savonneuse chaude et laissez-le sécher totalement avant de le remettre en place.

• Pour le remplacer, mettez le nouveau filtre à la place de l’ancien

* Pour éviter d’avoir de la poussière fine dans

le moteur, ajoutez quelques gouttes d’huile moteur sur le filtre en mousse et pressez-le

dans votre main avant de le remplacer.

• Il faut accéder au carburateur en ôtant la vis ou l’attache en plastique (selon les modèles) comme ci-dessous.

• Enfin, replacez le couvercle dans sa position d’origine.

• Une fois le couvercle ôté, utilisez la clé

Allen fournie pour enlever le support de fixation en métal.

Vérification ou changement du carburateur

Les instructions suivantes décrivent comment ôter le carburateur et comment l’inspecter ou le changer en cas de problème.

• Une fois le support enlevé, tirez-le vers vous hors de l’appareil et tirez également le reste de la protection du filtre à air.

Vous aurez ensuite accès au carburateur

(entouré sur la photo).

• Ôtez les tubes d’alimentation du carburant en les tirant à la main.

• Enlevez ensuite le câble d’accélérateur du carburateur. Pour ce faire, tirez la protection en plastique noir dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre comme cidessus, ceci permettra d’avoir plus d’espace pour pouvoir enlever le câble

• En utilisant la clé fournie, dévissez le boulon retenant le câble et ainsi il se détachera du carburateur.

• Le carburateur est à présent détaché.

*Si vous changez le carburateur, suivez les étapes ci-dessus dans le sens inverse afin de le remettre en place.

*Pour inspecter le carburateur, assurezvous qu’il n’y a pas de débris ou de poussières et que le joint en caoutchouc sur le carburateur n’est pas abimé ou déformé.

KRAFTSTOFF/ÖL-MISCHUNG

! Schalten Sie vor dem Befüllen des Tanks

unbedingt den Motor aus!

Öffnen Sie den Tankdeckel langsam, um das

Austreten von aufsteigendem Kraftstoff durch

Gasdruck zu vermeiden. Lassen Sie das Gerät nach dem Betrieb abkühlen, bevor Sie mit dem Tanken beginnen, da sich der Kraftstoff an einem heißen Gerät entzünden könnte.

Achten Sie beim Auftanken darauf, den Tank nicht zu überfüllen. Entfernen Sie verschütteten Kraftstoff sofort.

Schließen Sie den Tankdeckel nach dem

Tanken richtig und fest, um zu verhindern, dass er sich während des Betriebes lockert.

VIBRATIONEN

Bei längerem Gebrauch kann es aufgrund der

Vibrationen, die durch den Motor entstehen und übertragen werden, zu Schwierigkeiten beim Halten kommen. Das Tragen von

Umgebungsschutzmaßnahmen

! Lassen Sie niemanden in die Nähe des

Gerätes, wenn es sich in Betrieb befindet, und stellen Sie sicher, dass sich in der

Arbeitsumgebung keine Tiere oder

Fußgänger befinden.

! Vermeiden Sie das Blockieren der

Hinweise für die sichere Verwendung

! Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb, wenn Sie der Meinung sind, dass es

• Prüfen Sie vor jeder Inbetriebnahme die

Befestigung der Schneidblätter und

Schrauben. Achten Sie darauf, dass die

Kraftstoffsicherheit

! Benzin ist leicht entflammbar. Treffen Sie

folgende Sicherheitsvorkehrungen:

• Lagern Sie den Kraftstoff in speziellen

Kraftstoffkanistern. Lagern Sie ihn NICHT in der Mischflasche.

• Füllen Sie den Kraftstoff im Freien ein und rauchen Sie nicht beim Betanken.

• Betanken Sie das Gerät vor dem Starten.

Nehmen Sie den Tankdeckel niemals ab, während der Motor läuft oder noch heiß ist.

• Vermeiden Sie das Verschütten von

Kraftstoff. Starten Sie den Motor nicht, wenn Kraftstoff verschüttet wurde, sondern bringen Sie das Gerät aus dem

Bereich des verschütteten Benzins, um ein

Entzünden zu vermeiden.

• Drehen Sie den Tankdeckel fest zu.

Montage des Griffs

Stiel-Ansatzstück

Die verschiedenen Anbauteile/Werkzeuge werden durch Verbindung mit der Kupplung am Ende der festen Maschinenstange an die

Maschine angeschlossen.

1. Öffnen Sie die Kupplung und lockern

Sie die Verbindung durch Drehen des

Haltegriffs.

3. Schließen Sie die Kupplung wieder, drehen sie den Verschlussgriff fest zu, und prüfen Sie die Stabilität der

Verbindung, indem Sie die Stange drehen.

2. Legen Sie das ausgewählte Werkzeug mit der Aussparung in Richtung Stange und drücken Sie es fest in die Kupplung, wie unten abgebildet.

Montage des Schultergeschirrs

Das Schultergeschirr wird mit der Klammer am Hauptgriff montiert, wie oben gezeigt.

Starten des Motors

! Bitte beachten Sie, dass etwas Kraft aufgewendet werden muss, um das

Multifunktionsgerät zu starten. Lassen sie

sich nicht sofort entmutigen.

• Legen Sie den Zündschalter auf die „I”-

Position und halten sie die Gassperre.

Betätigen Sie dann den Gashebel.

Gashebelsperre den Ansaugball einige Male (8-10) zum

Ansaugen des Kraftstoffs.

• Beim Halten, drücken Sie den Schalter neben dem On/Off-Schalter

Lassen Sie nun alle drei langsam los; es sollte zu sehen sein, dass der Schalter in versenkter Position bleibt.

Zum Starten des Motors den Choke-Hebel nach oben schieben und den Anlasser

(Schnur) ziehen.

Die Heckenschere ist bereits fertig zusammengebaut und muss lediglich mit der

Motoreinheit verbunden werden. Lesen Sie hierzu die Anleitung unter „Stiel-Ansatzstück”.

Nehmen Sie die Plastikschutzabdeckung der

Schneidezähne vor Gebrauch bei ausgeschaltetem Motor ab.

**BEACHTEN SIE, DASS DIE SCHNEIDEZÄHNE

DER HECKENSCHERE SEHR SCHARF SIND UND

GEHEN SIE MIT VORSICHT VOR. **

1. Schneidblatt: Stahlmesser zum

Schneiden von Hecken und Büschen.

2. Schutzabdeckung: schützt die

Schneideschiene, wenn das Gerät nicht in Verwendung ist.

3. Getriebe: wandelt die Rotation des

Winkelgetriebes bei der Vorwärts-

Rückwärts-Bewegung des

Schneidblatts.

4. Feststellmechanismus: hält die

Heckenschere in der gewünschten

Position.

5. Winkelgetriebe: überträgt die

Rotationsbewegung der

Antriebsachse auf das Getriebe.

6. Stellhebel: zum Einstellen der

Schneideschiene auf den gewünschten Schnittwinkel.

7. Sicherungshebel : sperrt und löst die

Schneideschiene.

8.

Antriebswellenrohr: umhüllt und schützt die Antriebswelle zwischen

Kupplungsmuffe und Getriebe.

Montage der Heckenschere

•

Drehen Sie die Schraube mit einem flachen Schraubendreher in beliebige

Richtung oder lauschen Sie dem

Motorgeräusch, um einen Eindruck von der momentanen Drehzahl zu gewinnen.

1. Klappen Sie die Heckenscheren-

Halterung durch Drücken der zwei

Sperrhebel (1) auf.

2. Halten Sie die Sperrhebel gedrückt und drehen Sie den Stellhebel (2) in den gewünschten Winkel. Befestigen Sie nun den Stellhebel am Getriebering.

Einstellen der Leerlaufschraube

Folgen Sie zur Einstellung der

Leerlaufdrehzahl (Geschwindigkeit und Häufigkeit der Umdrehungen und

Motorleistung) der folgenden

Anleitung:

Starten Sie den Motor und stellen sie das Gerät auf eine ebene Unterlage.

•

Suchen Sie die Justierschraube zur

Leerlaufjustierung.(Unterhalb der

Luftfiltereinheit).

! Bitte beachten Sie, dass der Motor abstirbt wenn die Schraube zu weit hinein- oder herausgedreht wird.

! Der Kraftstofftank muss vollkommen geleert sein, bevor diese Reparatur

• Öffnen Sie den Deckel des

Kraftstofftanks durch Drehen gegen den Uhrzeigersinn und ziehen Sie den

Halteriemen aus dem Tank heraus.

Drahtstücks (z.B. einem Zelthering oder einem alten Kleiderbügel) den

Kraftstoffzufuhrschlauch aus dem

Tank, wie in der Abbildung. Der

! Stellen Sie sicher, dass sich kein Kraftstoff

im Gerät befindet.

Staubdeckel durch kräftiges Ziehen. die

Zündkerzenabdeckung und den

Lockern Sie die Zündkerze, indem Sie den Steckschlüssel des mitgelieferten

Werkzeuges auf die Zündkerze aufsetzen und fest gegen den

Uhrzeigersinn mit der Handfläche gegen den Schlüsselstab schlagen. indem man sie an eine Metallfläche wie etwa den Motorblock drückt.

•

Stellen Sie zum Schluss den Schalter des Gashebels auf die „I”-Position.

•

Tauschen Sie die alte Zündkerze gegen eine neue, falls nötig.

Entfernen Sie den Staubdeckel von der Zündkerzenabdeckung und drücken Sie die neue Zündkerze bis zum Anschlag fest in die

Gummikappe.

•

Halten Sie die Zündkerze (am

Gummideckel, um Stromstöße zu

vermeiden!) an die Metalloberfläche und ziehen Sie den Rückstoß-Anlasser.

Prüfen Sie, ob ein Funke zwischen der

Elektrode und dem Erdungskontakt entsteht (Abb. 1).

Es lässt sich sehr einfach überprüfen, ob die Zündkerze Funken erzeugt,

Reinigung / Austausch des Luftfilters

Schrauben Sie den Verschlussdeckel ab und entfernen Sie den Filterdeckel.

Ziehen Sie den Schaumstoff-Luftfilter vorsichtig heraus.

• Prüfen Sie den Luftfilter und entfernen Sie größere

Schmutzpartikel. Reinigen Sie ihn nun in warmer Seifenlauge und lassen Sie ihn gut trocknen, bevor Sie ihn wieder einsetzen.

• Zum Tauschen des Luftfilters, entfernen Sie den gebrauchten Filter und setzen Sie einen neuen ein.

*Das Eindringen von sehr feinen

Schmutzteilchen in den Motorbereich lässt sich verhindern, indem man ein paar Tropfen Öl in den Filter einbringt und den Schaumstoff mit den Händen knetet.

Austausch / Wartung des Vergasers

Im Folgenden zeigen wir Ihnen, wie Sie den Vergaser zwecks Tausch oder

Überprüfung ausbauen können.

• Auf den Vergaser kann (je nach

Modell) durch Entfernen der

Schraube oder Öffnen des

Plastikverschlusses zugegriffen werden, wie in der Abbildung zu sehen (Kreismarkierung).

•

Bringen Sie abschließend nun den

Luftfilterdeckel wieder an und befestigen Sie ihn.

•

Nach Entfernen des Deckels kann die

Metallhalterung mithilfe eines

Sechskantschraubendrehers abgenommen werden.

Ziehen Sie die Metallhalterung und den Rest der schwarzen Luftfilter-

Verkleidung aus dem Gerät. Sie haben nun Zugriff auf den Vergaser. abgebildet mit einer Drehbewegung im Uhrzeigersinn, um Platz für die

Entfernung des Kabels zu schaffen.

•

Entfernen Sie die Kraftstoffschläuche des Vergasers, indem Sie sie mit den

Fingern herausziehen.

•

Lockern Sie nun mit dem beigelegten

Schraubenschlüssel die Mutter, die das Kabel befestigt, sodass das Kabel vom Vergaser getrennt werden kann.

•

Nun müssen wir den Gaszug vom

Vergaser entfernen. Heben Sie die schwarze Verkleidung wie unten

! Spegnete sempre il motore prima di fare rifornimento.

Aprite adagio il tappo del serbatoio per evitare fuoriuscite di liquido dovute alla pressione interna. Se il dispositivo è stata adoperato di recente, fate in modo che prima si raffreddi completamente. Impedire al dispositivo di raffreddarsi potrebbe provocare un’involontaria accensione del combustibile.

Quando fate rifornimento di benzina, state molto attenti a non riempire troppo il serbatoio. Qualsiasi fuoriuscita di liquido dovrebbe essere subito ripulita.

Dopo il rifornimento, accertatevi di avere chiuso correttamente il tappo e che non si allenti inavvertitamente quando il dispositivo

è messo in funzione.

VIBRAZIONI

Le vibrazioni dovute alla macchina rendono difficile impugnarla a lungo, ma il periodo di utilizzo potrebbe essere allungato attraverso l’utilizzo di guanti appropriati.

Modalità d’Utilizzo Corrette

! Non mettete in funzione l’apparecchiatura se sospettate che abbia un problema.

• Ispezionatela visivamente per notare se il gruppo della catena o quello di

taglio non siano usurati oppure danneggiati. Assicuratevi che le ventole del motore siano libere da residui oppure da sporco.

• Fate funzionare l’apparecchio alla velocità del motore più bassa quando svolgete l’attività.

• Tenete sia le mani che i piedi fuori dalla portata dello strumento collegato, quando la macchina è in funzione.

• Poggiate saldamente le mani sul dispositivo, in ogni momento.

• Adoperate sempre il dispositivo con la tracolla di trasporto in dotazione.

• Quando adoperate l’apparecchiatura, indossate sempre le opportune protezioni per le mani, i piedi, gli orecchi e gli occhi.

• Non adoperare rocchetti di taglio in metallo.

• Fate attenzione, la macchina continuerà a funzionare per circa cinque secondi dopo che il motore è stato spento.

Protezione dal Carburante

! La benzina è altamente infiammabile.

Prendete le precauzioni che seguono:

• Conservate il carburante in contenitori espressamente progettati per questo scopo. NON conservate nella bottiglia della miscela.

• Fate rifornimento all’aperto e non fumate mentre fate rifornimento.

• Aggiungete il carburante prima di avviare il motore. Non rimuovete mai il tappo del carburante quando il motore è in funzione oppure è caldo.

• Evitate le fuoriuscite. Se la benzina viene versata, non tentate di avviare il motore, allontanate la macchina dalla fuoriuscita per evitare qualsiasi pericolo di combustione dei fumi della benzina.

• Stringete strettamente il tappo del serbatoio del carburante.

Il Motore

Collegamento Prolunga

Per collegare i vari connettori al dispositivo, occorre che li colleghiate sul giunto al termine della prolunga fissa del motore.

1. Aprite il giunto e girate la maniglia di tenuta per allentare il collegamento.

1. Tappo Riempimento

2. Leva dell’aria: Agevola l’avvio del motore.

3. Pompa Carburante: aumenta la fornitura di combustile nelle partenze a freddo.

4. Vite del Carburatore: Per regolare la velocità di minimo.

5. Sostegno Motore: Per sostenere la macchina quando si trova sul terreno

2. Allineate il foro sullo strumento a prolunga richiesto come mostrato qui sotto e spinge saldamente all’interno del giunto.

Montaggio Tracolla a spalla

3. Chiudete di nuovo il giunto, stringete la maniglia di tenuta, e tirate e ruotate la prolunga per accertarsi che sia collegata strettamente.

L’imbracatura a spalla va collegata al gancetto sul manico principale come mostrato qui sopra.

Avviare il dispositivo

! Si prega di essere consapevoli che occorre un certo impegno per avviare correttamente lo strumento multiuso, vi preghiamo di non desistere, quando vi impegnate nell’avviare il motore.

• Spostare l’interruttore nella posizione “I” e afferrate il blocco dell’acceleratore e quindi tirate l’acceleratore.

Gashebelsperre

• Mentre ancora tenete premuti le leve precedenti, spingete l’interruttore vicino a quello di spegnimento/accensione.

• Rilasciate lentamente tutte e tre le leve e dovreste osservare che l’interruttore rimane premuto.

• Per avviare il motore, spingete la leva dello starter verso l’alto e tirate la corda d’avviamento.

• Adesso occorre che inneschiamo il motore con il combustibile per adoperarlo.

Premete il globo di adescamento sul dispositivo per numerose volte (8-10) per accendere l’apparecchio.

Fatelo fino a quando udite provenire dal motore uno scoppettio o un borbottio. Una volta che questo accade, spingete la leva dello starter verso il basso e tirate la corda, e il motore si metterà in moto. Potete quindi tirare l’innesco dell’acceleratore per avviare il funzionamento dello strumento.

**Si prega di notare che possono occorrere numerosi tentativi nel tirare la corda dell’avviamento allo scopo di mettere in moto la macchina.

Per spegnere la macchina spingere l’interruttore on/off su “O”.

Il Tagliasiepi

Il Tagliasiepi è già assemblato di fabbrica e occorre solo che lo colleghiate all’unità motore principale.

Fate riferimento alla guida “Collegamento

Prolunga” per i modi con cui svolgere quest’operazione.

Quando siete pronti ad adoperare il tagliasiepi assicuratevi che l’apparecchiatura sia spenta e quindi rimuovete le protezioni in plastica dalle lame

3. Ingranaggio Lama: Converte la rotazione dell’ingranaggio angolare quando la lama di taglio si muove nel suo percorso avanti e indietro.

4. Meccanismo di blocco: Mantiene la taglierina nella posizione desiderata.

5. Ingranaggio Angolare: Trasmette il movimento rotatorio dell’assale del motore all’ingranaggio della lama.

6. Leva di regolazione: Regola il binario di taglio secondo l’angolo desiderato.

7. Leva di Blocco: Blocca e sblocca il binario di taglio

8. Tubo del semiasse: Circonda e protegge il semiasse tra il manicotto e l’ingranaggio.

Montaggio del Tagliasiepi

1. Dispiegate I due raccordi del tagliasiepi premendo le due levette di bloccaggio (1)

2. Mentre state ancora premendo le levette di bloccaggio ruotate la leva di regolazione (2) secondo l’angolo desiderato, quindi fissate la leva di blocco all’anello dell’ingranaggio.

• Utilizzando un cacciavite a testa piatta, girate la vite in una o nell’altra direzione o ascoltate il rumore proveniente dal motore come una guida per l’attuale velocità del motore.

• Rimuovere I tubi del carburante dal carburatore adoperando pinze dal becco lungo e un cacciavite piccolo a testa piatta, prendendo nota della posizione di ogni tubo prima di rimuoverli.

! Si prega di notare, se la vite è avvolta troppo/troppo poco, il motore andrà in stallo.

Adoperando un oggetto dalla punta smussata, spingete l’anello di tenuta del tubo della benzina nel serbatoio, quindi adoperate delle pinze dal becco lungo per prelevare la parte attraverso il foro del rifornimento combustibile.

Svitate il tappo della benzina e rimuovetelo tirando il cinturino di tenuts dall’interno del serbatoio.

• Inserire i ricambi dei tubi della benzina/anello di tenuta nel serbatoio adoperando un cacciavite grande dalla testa piatta per spingerli in posizione. Ricollegare quindi i tubi ai collegamenti del carburatore

*WD40 si può cospargere di olio attorno all’anello di tenuta per aiutarlo a rientrare nella sua locazione.

• Rimpiazzare, infine, il cinturino di tenuta all’interno del serbatoio, quindi riavvitare nella sua posizione il tappo.

Scambiare il Filtro del Carburante

! Si prega di assicurarsi che l’apparecchio sia totalmente svuotato dal combustibile prima di accingersi ad eseguire la procedura.

• Rimuovere il tappo del serbatoio della benzina svitandolo in senso antiorario ed estraendo il cinturino di tenuta del tappo dall’interno del serbatoio.

*Se il tubo è danneggiato o sfilacciato all’estremità, allora riducetene la lunghezza con un paio

di forbici.

Collegate il filtro del combustibile di ricambio spingendolo nel tubo di alimentazione del combustibile, facendo in modo che la valvola di collegamento non sia visibile.

• Reinserite il tubo dell’alimentazione e del filtro di nuovo nel serbatoio e sostituite il tappo.

Utilizzando lo strumento in dotazione, porre la presa sull’attacco della candela e battere saldamente con il palmo della vostra mano l’asta del cacciavite in senso antiorario per allentare la candela, quindi svitatela per tutta la corsa in modo da rimuoverla.

! Usate una certa dose di cautela quando seguite questo paragrafo, sussiste il pericolo di scossa elettrica.

! Accertatevi di aver rimosso tutto il combustibile dal dispositivo.

• Rimuovete la copertura della candela e lo schermo antipolvere estraendolo con fermezza dall’attacco della candela

• A questo punto, se state cambiando la candela, buttate quella vecchia e selezionatene una nuova. Rimuovete la copertura della polvere, estraendo la copertura della candela e spingendo l’attacco nel coperchio della copertura di gomma assicurandovi che venga spinto in fondo.

! No opere la máquina si sospecha que la máquina tiene un problema.

Seguridad del combustible

! La gasolina es altamente inflamable. Tome las siguientes precauciones:

• Reposte el combustible únicamente al aire libre y no fume mientras llena el tanque.

• Ahora tenemos que cebar el motor con combustible para su uso. Apriete el cebador en la unidad varias veces (8-10) para cebar la máquina.

• Realice esta acción hasta que escuche un chisporroteo en el motor. Cuando esto ocurra, empuje la palanca del obturador hacia abajo y tire de la cuerda de arranque y el motor arrancará. A continuación, puede apretar el interruptor de arranque para arrancar la herramienta.

• Para arrancar el motor, empuje la palanca del obturador hacia arriba y tire de la cuerda de arranque.

• El carburador se accede desatornillando el tornillo o desabrochando la fijación de plástico (dependiendo del modelo) tal y como se indica a continuación.

• Quite las líneas de combustible del carburador tirando de ellas con los dedos.

• Una vez retire la cubierta, utilice la llave

Allen suministrada para extraer el soporte de retención de metal.

• A continuación tenemos que quitar el cable del regulador del carburador. Para ello, tire de la carcasa de plástico negro hacia la derecha como se muestra a continuación, esto le dará un poco de juego con lo que podrá quitar el cable.

• Una vez retire el soporte de retención, apártelo de la máquina y tire también del resto de la carcasa del filtro de aire negro.

• Usando la llave suministrada, afloje la tuerca de retención del cable y el cable se separará completamente del carburador.

• El carburador está ahora separado.

! Schakel altijd de motor uit voordat u gaat tanken

Draai de tankdop voorzichtig open om morsen door interne druk te voorkomen. Als het apparaat recent in gebruik is geweest laat u deze eerst afkoelen. Indien u de machine niet eerst laat afkoelen kan dit de brandstof doen ontbranden.

Let erop dat u de tank niet laat overstromen bij het vervangen van de brandstof. Alle gemorste brandstof direct weer opruimen.

Controleer na het tanken of de dop weer stevig vast zit en dat deze niet los kan komen te zitten wanneer het apparaat ingeschakeld is.

VIBRATIES

Trillingen van het apparaat kunnen het moeilijk maken om de machine voor lange tijd vast te houden. De tijd die u kunt werken kan verlengd worden door het dragen van geschikte handschoenen

!Zorg dat niemand de machine kan benaderen terwijl deze in gebruik is, zorg dat de werkomgeving vrij is van dieren en wandelaars.

! Probeer te vermijden dat het snijblad vast komt te zitten omdat dit de machine plotseling moeilijk bestuurbaar kan maken.

! Gebruik dit apparaat voor geen enkel ander doel dan zoals in dit boek beschreven.

! Maak er een gewoonte van om uw werkomgeving goed te markeren om ervoor te zorgen dat er geen wandelaars in de buurt komen.

! Wanneer u verplaatst, schakel dan de machine uit.

De machine beschermen

! Gebruik alleen aanbevolen onderdelen, raadpleeg de fabrikant om deze te verkrijgen.

! Gebruik altijd het juiste gereedschap voor de klus, gebruik het gereedschap alleen voor het ontworpen gebruik.

Veiligheidsinstructies

! Gebruik het apparaat niet indien u vermoed dat het apparaat een probleem heeft.

• Voer een visuele inspectie uit en controleer of alle snijbladen,bouten, ketting en geleider goed vastzitten.

Zorg er ook voor dat de ventilatiesleuven vrij zijn van aarde of andere restanten.

• Gebruik altijd het laagst mogelijke toerental om de klus te klaren.

• Hou handen en voeten vrij van het aangesloten gereedschap terwijl de machine draait.

• Hou het apparaat ten alle tijden stevig vast met twee handen.

• Gebruik het apparaat altijd met de meegeleverde draagriem.

• Draag altijd toereikende hand, voet, oog en gehoorbescherming tijdens het gebruik van het apparaat.

• Gebruik geen metalen snijkoorden

• Let op: de machine draait nog ongeveer 5 seconden nadat het apparaat uitgezet is.

Brandstof veiligheid

! Benzine is licht ontvlambaar. Neem de volgende voorzorgsmaatregelen:

• Bewaar brandstof in daarvoor bestemde houders. Bewaar het NIET in de mengfles.

• Vul de brandstof altijd buiten bij en rook niet tijdens het bijvullen.

• Voeg brandstof toe voordat de motor gestart wordt. Verwijder nooit de benzinedop terwijl de motor loopt of terwijl de motor warm is.

• Voorkom morsen. Start de motor niet indien er benzine is gemorst. Verplaats de machine weg van de plaats waar de brandstof is gemorst om te voorkomen dat de dampen vlam vatten.

• Draai de benzinedop stevig vast

De motor

Om de verschillende toebehoren aan de machine te bevestigen, is het nodig om deze te verbinden aan de koppeling aan het einde van de motorpaal.

1. Open de koppeling en draai de hendel om de koppeling los te maken.

3. Brandstofpomp: Zorgt voor extra brandstof bij koude start

4. Carburateur schroef: Om de stationairloop te regelen.

5. Motor ondersteuning: Om de machine te ondersteunen wanneer deze op de grond ligt

6. Brandstoftank: Om een brandstofmengsel op te slaan bestaande uit benzine en motorolie.

7. Uitlaat (met vonkenvanger) :

Verminderd werkgeluid en leidt uitlaatgassen weg van de gebruiker.

Stel het gat van het benodigde gereedschap op zoals hieronder getoond wordt en duw deze stevig in de koppeling.

3. Sluit de koppeling, maak de hendel vast en trek en draai aan de paal zodat u zeker weet dat het gereedschap goed vast zit.

De machine starten

! Wees ervan op de hoogte dat het enige moeite kan kosten om het Multi gereedschap te starten, zet alstublieft door als u moeite heeft om de motor te starten.

• Trek de schakelaar zodat het in de “I” positie staat en houdt de gashendel vergrendeling vast en trek daarna aan de trekker van de smoorklep.

• Terwijl u bovenstaande vasthoudt drukt u op de schakelaar die naast de aan/uit knop gepositioneerd is.

Monteren van het schouderharnas

Het schouderharnas kan bevestigd worden aan de haak van de hoofdhandgreep zoals hierboven wordt getoond.

• Laat alle drie rustig los en u zou moeten zien dat de knoppen ingedrukt blijven.

**Het volgende geldt voor de 26cc 33cc 43cc

49cc en 52cc versies, voor de 55cc 58cc 62cc

65cc 68cc geldt dezelfde instructie, maar er zijn kleine visuele afwijkingen op het motorblok.**

• Nu moeten we de motor voorzien van brandstof voordat we de machine gebruiken. Druk de aanzuigpompbal meerdere malen in (8-10) om de machine te voorzien van brandstof.

• Doe dit tot u een gesputter of een kuch van de motor hoort komen. Als dit gebeurt drukt u de hendel naar beneden en trekt u aan de startkabel, de motor start nu. U kunt hierna aan de smoorklep trekken om het gereedschap te laten werken.

• Om de machine te starten drukt u de hendel omhoog en trek aan de startkabel.

**Wees ervan op de hoogte dat u meerdere keren aan de startkabel zou moeten kunnen trekken om de machine te starten.

• Om de machine uit te schakelen zet u de aan/uit knop op “O”.

De heggenschaar

De heggenschaar is al voor u geassembleerd en hoeft alleen nog maar aan de hoofdunit bevestigd te worden. Bekijk de “Bevestigen

aan de steel” handleiding om te zien hoe dit werkt.

Wanneer u gereed bent om de heggenschaar te gebruikt zorg er dan voor het apparaat uit staat en de plastic bescherming van de bladen verwijderd is.

8. Aandrijfas pijp: Omringt en beschermt de aandrijfas tussen het koppelstuk en gereedschap.

2. Draai terwijl de vergrendel hendels nog ingedrukt zijn de afstel hendel (2) naar de gewenste hoek, draai daarna de vergrendel hendel vast aan de overbrengings ring.

De stationair schroef aanpassen

Om de stationairloop toe te laten nemen of af te laten nemen (de snelheid en frequentie tussen motortoeren en vermogen van de machine) volgt u de instructies hieronder.

• Start de motor en leg het product op een vlakke ondergrond.

• Vind de stationairloop schroef (onder de luchtfilterbehuizing).

• Draai de schroef in de richting die u wilt met een platte schroevendraaier en luister naar het geluid van de motor om de juiste snelheid te bepalen.

! Let op: Als de schroef te ver ingedraaid of te ver uitgedraaid is zal de motor uitvallen.

zal een Philips schroef aanwezig zijn in plaats van het dopje**

Verwijder de brandstofleidingen van de carburator door een lange tang en een kleine platte schroevendraaier te gebruiken, er op lettende wat de locatie van elke leiding is voordat deze verwijderd wordt.

Schroef de brandstofdeksel los en verwijder deze door de behoud riem los te trekken van de binnenkant van de brandstoftank.

• Gebruik een bot puntig voorwerp om de pakkingring van de brandstoftank in de brandstoftank te duwen, gebruik daarna een langwerpige tang om het deel terug te trekken uit het gat voor de brandstoftoevoer.

• Steek de vervangende brandstofleidingen/ pakkingring in de tank door een lange platte schroevendraaier te gebruiken en duw het op zijn plek. Maak daarna de leidingen weer vast aan de carburator verbindingen

*WD40 mag rondom de pakkingring gesprayd worden om het vast maken te vergemakkelijken.

• Plaats ten slotte de behoud riem terug in de brandstoftank en schroef de dop terug op zijn plaats.

Verwisseling van de brandstoffilter

!Zorg er voor dat de filter geen enkele brandstof meer bevat voordat u deze stappen uitvoert.

• Verwijder de dop van de brandstoftank door deze tegen de klok in los te draaien en trek de behoud riem uit de tank.

Gebruik een stuk gebogen draad (bijv. een haring van een tent of oude kledinghanger)en haak de brandstoftoevoerleiding in de tank en trek deze eruit zoals getoond, de brandstoffilter is aan het einde gehecht.

• Verwijder de brandstoffilter door deze stevig vast te pakken en aan de filter te trekken.

*Als de pijp beschadigd of rafelig aan het einde is, knip dan een stuk af met

een schaar.

• Verbind de vervangende brandstoffilter door deze in de brandstoftoevoerleiding te duwen, er voor zorgende dat de tuit niet zichtbaar is.

• Duw de brandstofpijp en filter terug in de tank en herplaats de dop.

• Als u de stekker vervangt, gooi dan nu de oude weg en zorg dat u de nieuwe bij de hand heeft. Verwijder de stofkap door deze weg te trekken van de bougie en duw de stekker in de rubberen deksel. Zorg dat deze er geheel in gaat.

Verwisselen/ inspecteren van de bougie

! Pas op met het uitvoeren van de volgende sectie, het gevaar van een elektrische schok kan bestaan.

!Zorg ervoor dat alle brandstof verwijderd is.

Verwijder de behuizing van de bougie en stofkap door deze stevig weg te trekken van de bougie.

• Gebruik het bijgevoegde gereedschap om het stopcontact over de bougie te plaatsen en sla met de palm van uw hand op de handvat van de schroevendraaier tegen de klok in om de stekker los te trekken. Draai deze daarna verder los om te verwijderen.

• Om te controleren of er een vonk is, moet de punt van de stekker een metalen oppervlakte raken. De makkelijkste methode is om het tegen de metalen vlakte van de motor, waar de stekker normaal gesproken zit, te drukken.

• Positioneer ten slotte de knop naar de

“I” op de bediening van de gashendel.

modellen zal er een Philips schroef zijn

• Terwijl u de stekker tegen het metalen oppervlakte houdt (en er voor zorgt

dat je de rubberen deel van de stekker vast houdt om een elektrische schok te

voorkomen) trekt u aan de terugslag starter terwijl u naar het gat tussen de elektrode en de randaarde controleert voor een vonk (fig 1).

• Verwijder de schuimen luchtfilter door deze voorzichtig los te trekken van het motorlichaam.

*Om te voorkomen dat er stofdeeltjes in de

motor terecht komen kunt u een paar druppels motorolie in de schuimen filter doen en deze tussen uw handen wrijven voor het terugplaatsen.

• Bij het schoonmaken van de filter, inspecteer voor vuil en borstel deze af.

Maak deze dan schoon in warm water met zeep en laat het volledig drogen voordat u het terugplaatst op de machine.

• Als u de filter vervangt, gooi de oude filter dan weg en monteer een nieuw exemplaar.

• Herplaats ten slotte de deksel van de filter en draai deze vast.

Vervanging/ inspectie Carburateur

De volgende procedure laat zien hoe u de carburateur kunt verwijderen en deze kunt vervangen of inspecteren op problemen.

• U krijgt toegang tot de carburateur door de schroef of plastieken bevestiger los te draaien (afhankelijk van het model) zoals hieronder omcirkelt is.

U heeft nu toegang tot de carburateur

(omcirkelt).

• Verwijder de brandstofleidingen van de carburateur door ze los te trekken met uw vingers.

• Als de deksel verwijderd is, gebruik dan de bijgevoegde inbussleutel om de metalen beugel te verwijderen.

• Hierna moeten we de kabel van de smoorklep van de carburateur verwijderen. Doe dit door de zwarte plastieken behuizing met de klok mee te draaien zoals hieronder getoond is, dit geeft wat ruimte om de kabel te verwijderen.

• Wanneer de beugel verwijderd is, trek deze dan weg van de machine en trek ook de zwarte behuizing van de luchtfilter los.

• Gebruik de bijgevoegde moersleutel om de borgmoer van de kabel en de kabel los te maken en de kabel zal nu volledig los komen van de carburateur.

*Bij vervanging met een nieuwe carburateur kunt u de instructies in omgekeerde volgorde volgen.

*Bij een reguliere inspectie, controleer dan dat er geen vuil aanwezig is en dat de rubberen pakking op de carburateur niet beschadigd of kromgetrokken is.

• De carburateur is nu afgescheiden.
