Avoid locations too near to neon or similar lighting that may emit high levels of electrical
interference.
Allow suitable ventilation around machine to avoid over heating.
Check that the mains input voltage supply is correct and the 'earth' connection is secure.
Before applying power for the first time after delivery we strongly recommend that all
electrical connectors and assemblies be inspected, are firmly in place, secured and correctly
orientated.

BASE Game
On the base game the usual ‘cheats’ are available to the player –
Holds after nudges - player nudges a pair onto the line, a hold is offered and the player spins all three reels for a
guaranteed win.
Third time holds - player holds the same pair of symbols three times on consecutive credits to be guaranteed the
win they were playing for.
Holds after win - All reel awards have the ability to hold again after the initial win.
Extra Nudges - The player will randomly be awarded extra nudges on a losing nudge so they can achieve a win.
Nudge Time-outs - In some cases the player can let their last nudge time-out to get extra nudges to complete a
win.
TOP Game
If the player gets the combination BAR-BULLION -BAR on the base game win line, they will go up on
the top reels for a combination of wins..
When the player is in the win streak they spin the reels and any awards are transferred to their bank,
shown on the dot matrix display on the base. If the player gets the combination BAR - BULLION - BAR
on the top reels, they will enter a special ‘Big Money’ routine where the outside reels will ‘lock in’ with
bars showing, meaning on future spins the player will get bar wins only. The feature ends when a losing
combination lands on the reels. The player will then go back to the base game with their winnings
banked.
Queuing
The base games incorporate a queuing system where, if while one player has accessed the top box
feature another player achieves the access combination their machine display will show ‘PLEASE WAIT’
until the first players feature has ended. At this point the next queuing players machine will access the top
box.

Slave To Top Box - Error Communication Overview
If during power up a slave is seen with the same ID (wire link config) a 9.3 error will occur on the
respective slave unit. The message " 9.3 BAD TERM ID" is also scrolled on the display.
Test 11 allows the condition of the slave machine to be identified; this is viewed 'real time'.
If a communication error occurs between a slave unit and the top box causing the feature to drop out, the
machine awards the respective win(s) on the slave unit instead.
If no communication is present on power up the message "ID? NO COMMS TO MASTER" is scrolled.
If Master door is opened and all slaves are closed (Master door open) will show on alphanumeric display.

Operating The Starpoint Electronic Counting Units (S.E.C)
This machine has been fitted with a single Starpoint Electronic Counter that directly replaces the need to
fit conventional electro-mechanical meters.
The SEC unit incorporates multiple 'digital' counters that store the various meter values in a digital code
format that are held in non-volatile memory i.e. it cannot be altered or cleared down.
Where is it located?
The SEC unit is situated on the Right-hand side of the machine on the bottom glass, a clear window is
provided to view the meter.
What meters are used in this machine ?
Meter 1 = REFILL. Meter 2 = CASH IN. Meter 3 = CASH OUT. Meter 4 = CHANGE
Meter 5 =V.T.P Meter 6 = NOTES IN
NB. All counter values are in 10p units.
How is the SEC connected to the host machine?
A 6-pin connector is situated on the rear of the SEC unit which interfaces to the host machine Molex
connector; data is transmitted via a serial peripheral interface standard.
How do I read the values of each counter?
The SEC will only display counter values when the following procedure is followed. In normal game play
the refill meter will be the only value viewable to the player.
1. Open the main door and wait for the machine to re-initialise.
Press Hold 1 to enter Meters.
2. Press the Transfer and Auto and M (Meters) will be displayed. The meter will repeatedly toggle
