Introduction
Cutera NavigationTM is an iconic based navigation interface option, which works in
tandem with the standard system interface to provide the user greater flexibility in
selecting suggested range of parameters.
The Navigation interface is an option within the Xeo standard interface, and as such will
be accompanied by this addendum as well as two required operator manuals for any
Cutera console used in combination with any user-detachable Cutera handpiece. The
primary operator manual describes the use and operation of the console, while a
companion operator manual describes the use, operation and general indications for a
specific handpiece. The accompanying addendum, describes the use and operation of the
option within the Cutera system.

The information contained in this Addendum describes the basic use and operation of
the Xeo Navigation. All other operational controls and displays of the system are
covered in the Operation section of the primary operator manual. Please refer to the
primary operator manual D0075 for information regarding the Xeo systems.
Displays, controls and indicators with Cutera Navigation will have the same function
as the original Xeo interface. Navigation also includes displays and controls designed
to indicate appropriate values consistent with the Cutera Treatment Guidelines.
The Cutera Navigation is compatible with the Xeo, Xeo SA and Genesis Plus systems,
and encompasses all of the different types of treatments. The Navigation option can
be accessed within the Xeo control screen by selecting the Navigation icon (
) at
the top right-hand corner of the control screen.
DISCLAIMER
Parameter ranges provided in the following screens do not
replace proper training. Refer to the Treatment Guidelines,
Clinical CDs, the primary operator manual along with the
appropriate handpiece operator manual for more
information on parameter selection and proper usage.
Existing Cutera Xeo, Xeo SA, and Genesis Plus systems, may be upgraded to include
Cutera Navigation. Please contact your local Cutera representative for further
information on how to upgrade your existing Cutera system to include the Cutera
Navigation option.

WARNING
Except during actual treatment, the system must always be
in the STANDBY mode. Maintaining the system in
STANDBY mode prevents accidental treatment beam
exposure if the footswitch is inadvertently depressed.
WARNING
Verify that all persons in the treatment room are wearing
the appropriate treatment beam safety eyewear before
placing the system in READY mode.
In READY mode, the READY button and all user-adjustable parameter controls are
highlighted with green color on the touchscreen. The footswitch is enabled and
pressing the footswitch produces pulsed-light from the flashlamp handpiece.
The system will emit an audible tone to indicate emission with each pulse.
The system may be placed in STANDBY mode at anytime by pressing the yellow
button located at the lower left corner of the touchscreen, except during actual
treatment.
