Description
Rugged and lightweight Ohm-Spun Resistance Loads accurately test relays and meters in the field, shop or laboratory.
Featuring current steps tailored to relay and meter testing
requirements, these loads can be used individually or in
banks. The Ohm-Spun Resistance Loads feature improved
safety and operation.
Ohm-Spun resistance cards are woven with special wire
with virtually zero temperature coefficient of resistance,
thus ensuring excellent output current stability. The resistance cards are PBI fiber filled with heat-resistant cement
and are supported in open air to allow the highest power
dissipation with minimum wire temperature. A folding
stand can raise the unit to increase aircirculation.

Model is available with a dual- voltage primary of 120
and 240 Vac. Convenient toggle switches provide current
control in 0.25-ampere steps when operating at 120 Vac or
in 0.125-ampere steps at 240 Vac.
Type WD AC/DC, Cat. No. 35222
This versatile unit is designed to control either ac or dc current in 0.25-ampere steps. It incorporates special springloaded current selector switches designed to limit the
destructive arc conventional toggle switches encountered
when switching dc current under load.
Uses include convenient, accurate testing of ac meters and
relays as well as the performance of battery discharge, plus
ampere hour dc voltage tests. This model can be used in
both 120-volt and 240-volt systems.

Ideally suited for testing protective relays, the Type WR
60-ampere ac voltage load incorporates terminals to connect a cycle counter (timer), a pair of heavy-duty terminals for connection of the input power supply (line) and
another pair of heavy-duty terminals to connect the device
under test (load).
Two features of the Type WR ac load are a rheostat which
provides fine adjustment of the output current and a rugged main switch which energizes and de-energizes the
load. This switch simultaneously applies and removes voltage from the timer terminals, thus starting and stopping an
external timer. This dual-voltage load also incorporates a
switch for selection of the desired operating voltage.
Type WD AC/DC Load, Cat. No. 35222
Similar in appearance and dimensions to Cat. No. 35203,
the Type WD unit is designed to control both ac and dc
current. A single pair of heavy-duty terminals connects
the load in series with the circuit whose current is to be
adjusted.
