Lids for Kids - Hoops Family Children`s Hospital

Lids for Kids - Hoops Family Children`s Hospital
Help us put Lids on Kids and
prevent traumatic head injuries.
Please join Cabell
Huntington Hospital
and the Hoops Family
Children’s Hospital
Trauma Services as we
collect new helmets to provide to children throughout the
Tri-State region.
When: April 1 - July 1
Lids for Kids is a project that can help us work to improve
upon the devastating number of traumatic head injuries
occurring among children. Free Helmets and education
about the importance of wearing them when biking,
skating or riding motorized toys will help take a step
toward reducing these unnecessary injuries.
How to donate: New helmets (the greatest
needs are toddler and grade school sizes) can
be delivered to Trauma Services on 2WBT or MU
Surgery on the 2nd floor of MU Medical Center or
to several drop off locations at Cabell County
Your helmet donation puts Lids for Kids closer to our goal
of 500 helmets during the first Lids for Kids Helmet Drive.
Who: Helmets will be given to all inpatient
pediatric traumas who need a helmet and to the
community’s children during outreach activities
through Trauma Services and Hoops Family
Children’s Hospital.
EMS (846 8th Avenue) and Lawrence County EMS
(any station).
Our kickoff event is April 18th in the Marshall University Medical Center Atrium.
Cash donations are also accepted for the purchase of new helmets.
