Instructions for Use
1. Mounting the Camera Housing on the Blue Ray Tray
Important
Notice!
1. If your Blue Ray Tray includes an extension, it should be assembled
prior to mounting the housing on the tray. Please refer to section #3
for further instructions.
2. If you own an Ikelite housing, please refer to section #2, which
consists of special instructions for mounting Ikelite housings on the
Blue Ray Tray.
a. Using a screwdriver, slightly loosen the two stopper screws at the bottom of the tray,
just enough to allow gliding the stopper back and forth on the tray. There is no need to
completely remove the screws for this purpose.
b. Move the stopper all the way to the back of the tray, as far away as possible from the
mounting screw (image #1).
Image #1
c. With the top of the tray and black T1 Connector facing up, hold the camera housing
above the tray, so that the mounting screw hole at the bottom of the housing is
aligned with the mounting screw featured on the tray.
d. Make sure that the stopper is positioned behind the support legs featured at the
bottom of the camera housing. If the stopper cannot be positioned behind the housing
support legs, glide it forward in order to position it between the housing mounting
screw hole and support legs.
e. Insert the mounting screw featured on the tray into the mounting screw hole featured
at the bottom of the camera housing. Slightly screw it in, leaving it loose enough to
allow gliding the housing left and right on the tray.
f. It is recommended to position the camera housing on the right side of the tray, as far
away as possible from the Flex Arm that will be mounted on the T1 Connector
featured on the left. This will allow for easier operation of the system, as well as for
the external flash to be positioned further away from the camera lens.

At the same time, all housing support legs must be in contact with the tray stopper in
order for the housing to remain within a fixed position on the tray.
Therefore, glide the housing with the mounting screw attached to it towards the right
side of the tray, till the most right housing support leg is about to reach the right end
of the stopper.
Tighten the tray mounting screw to the camera housing.
Glide the tray stopper towards the support legs of the housing. If the stopper is
positioned behind the support legs, move it forward towards the legs. If it is positioned
in front of them, move it backwards. Note that in order for the housing to remain
within a fixed position on the tray, it is important that the tray stopper is pushed
against the housing support legs. Therefore, the stopper should be positioned as close
as possible to the legs, allowing for maximum friction.
Once the tray stopper has been properly positioned, tighten the two stopper screws at
the bottom of the tray using a screwdriver.
The instructions above are relevant for almost all compact camera housings. In case
you own a camera housing that cannot be mounted on the tray following the
instructions provided above, please contact us at info@fantasea.com for any special
parts that might be required in order to mount your housing on the tray.
2. Mounting an Ikelite Camera Housing on the Blue Ray Tray
a. Prior to mounting an Ikelite camera housing on the tray, the tray stopper and
mounting screw should be removed from the tray.
i. Removing the Stopper- Unscrew the two screws at the bottom of the tray
stopper using a screwdriver, and then remove the stopper from the tray.
ii. Removing the Mounting Screw- Glide the mounting screw all the way to the left
or right ends of the slot it is installed through. Unscrew the mounting screw
through the thread featured at the ends of this slot (image #2). In order to avoid
causing any damage to the threads of the screw or tray, make sure to hold the
mounting screw at a 90 degrees vertical angle when unscrewing it.

b. With the top of the tray and black T1 Connector facing up, hold the Ikelite camera
housing above the tray so the two mounting screw holes featured at the bottom of the
housing are aligned with the two Ikelite-housing-dedicated screw holes found on the
tray.
c. Install the two Ikelite-housing-dedicated screws included in the kit.
i.
Make sure that the two washers included with this kit are installed on the
screws.
ii. Insert the screws from the bottom of the tray through the aligned screw holes
featured on the tray and housing (image #3).
iii. Tighten the screws to ensure the housing remains within a fixed position on the
tray.

3. Installing the Blue Ray Tray Extension (optional)
Installing the optional Blue Ray Tray Extension enables mounting a second arm on the
tray, thereby integrating additional accessories in the system, such as external flashes,
lights and more.
a. Hold the tray with its bottom facing up, so the black T1 Connector is facing down.
b. Place the black spacer on the end of the tray, opposite the end which features the
black T1 Connector. When properly held and placed, the black spacer is positioned on
top of one end of the tray, while the black T1 Connector is featured at the bottom of
the other end of it (image #4).

the blue extension is facing down and the 4 screw holes are aligned with the screw
holes of the black spacer. The set of 4 screw holes featured on the tray, black spacer
and extension should now be aligned (image #5).
e. Insert the 4 screws included with the extension kit through the dedicated aligned
screw holes, starting from the extension and proceeding through the spacer and
tray.

4. Mounting Flex Arms on the Blue Ray Tray
a. The Flex Arm features a T1 Mount at the bottom of the arm that was designed to be
attached to the T1 Connector featured on the tray.
b. Glide the T1 Mount of the Flex Arm on the T1 Connector featured on the tray (image
#6) till they are perfectly aligned (image #7). If you encounter any resistance, slightly
loosen the screw featured on the bottom of the Flex Arm so it doesn’t get in the
way.
c. Tighten the screw featured on the T1 Mount in order to lock the arm on the tray.
d. In order to ensure that the arm is completely locked, try to push it out of the tray by
gliding the Flex Arm T1 Mount out of the T1 Connector. If the Flex Arm comes out,
repeat the steps listed above and make sure that the T1 Mount and T1 Connector
are perfectly aligned when tightening the screw.
