The VinPodium is fun, safe, and easy to use! Thank you again for your purchase and be on the look out for other RCS products at www.CooperCooler.com and www.VinPodium.com. The VinPodium is safe for chilling wines and Champagne/sparkling wines. Rapid chilling has no effect on the wine or Champagne/sparkling wine’s properties. Page 5 How to Operate Your VINPODIUM Now that you are ready to use your VinPodium, please follow these simple instructions to rapidly chill your bottle in minutes. 1. Place the unit on a clean, dry, level surface and pour 2 cups of cold water (500ml) into the ice and water bin. 2. Add approximately 12 to 14 standard ice cubes into the ice and water bin. 3. Lift the adjustable water jet neck to the top most position to make it easier to insert your bottle into the unit 4. Place the bottom or the punt of the bottle onto the round bottle support base inside the unit. Place the bottle so that it is centered as much as possible and the bottle is not touching the rim of the ice and water bin—this is more of an issue with larger 1.5 L bottles 5. Adjust the water jet neck up or down so it is close to the bottle but not touching it. 6. Plug the power adapter into the back of the unit and then into an appropriate outlet 7. Set your chill time on the digital timer. The timer is automatically set at 10 minutes. Use the top button (+) to increase the minutes and the bottom button (-) to decrease the minutes. Use the wine chilling chart on page X as a general guide for how long to chill your wine for based on the type of wine it is. 8. The Water Flow Button (H/L) is automatically set on the LOW position at start up. 9. Press the start/stop button (can you insert an icon of the start/stop sign) and water will begin to pour from the jet spout in about 15 seconds. This delay in water flow helps prevent water from splashing. At full flow, the water will be a steady and smooth stream over the wine bottle. If excessive splashing occurs, adjust the neck jet up or down until there is no more splashing. • Larger 1.5 L bottles, may require the use of the HI flow setting. Press the Water Flow Button once to put the unit into the HI flow water mode. In this mode the water flow rate will increase and this will provide more water coverage over the larger bottle. If splashing occurs after you do this, press the button again to put it into the LOW flow rate. 10. The digital timer will count down until your bottle is chilled. 11. Remove your bottle by lifting the neck up and then remove your bottle and enjoy. Page 6 For the enjoyment of your wine or Champagne/sparkling wine we suggest the following serving temperatues based on the type of wine or Champagne/sparkling wine: SUGGESTED SERVING TEMPERATURE TABLE Variety Temperature °F Temperature °C Vintage Port 66° 19° Bordeaux, Shiraz 64° 18° Cabernet, Red Burgandy 63° 17° Pinot Noir 61° 16° Chianti, Zinfandel 59° 15° Beaujolais, Rose 54° 12° Sauternes 52° 11° Riesling 47° 8° Champagne/sparkling wine 45° 7° Ice Wine 43° 6° Now that you know the suggested serving temperature of your wine, please follow the wine chill time chart for approximately how many mintutes it will take to chill.
