Important Note
Tap must be installed to the requirements of AS/NZS 3500 by a qualified plumber. The tap seat should have a uniform
surface to allow a positive seal between the cartridge and the seat. Tap seats in poor condition must be re-seated.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE:
Always flush out new pipe work prior to installing ceramic cartridge head works.
This tap is suitable for high pressure applications where both hot and cold water supply pressures are at 150kPa or above.

CERAMIC CARTRIDGE INSTALL
If not already, separate the ceramic cartridge, locknut and fibre washer.
Screw the ceramic cartridges into the breach body by hand until it reaches tap
seat. Grip the cartridge on the hex (use 15mm ring or tube spanner if available)
and nip it up until it becomes firm, 8N/m is the recommended torque setting.
Do not over tighten. Do not use the end of the spindle to tighten the cartridge.
Fit the fibre washer over the ceramic cartridge and against the face of the breach
body. Fit the locknut by hand onto the cartridge up to the face of the tap body.
Torque to 25N/m, similar tension as a conventional jumper valve headwork's
(Use 1” or 25mm ring or tube spanner if available).

Note: Always check the rubber seal on the ceramic cartridge for a
LOCK NUT round uniform shape. If distorted push back into place using thumb
or cartridge may leak on installation.

FITTING HANDLES
1. Separate parts from handle as shown.
2. Turn ceramic cartridge to off position.
3. Screw the flange with flange o-ring on the
tap head works until flush against wall.
4. Place the handle locking screw over the
spindle, slotted side toward the wall.
5. Place the o-ring onto the retainer if not

onto the spindle.
6. Place the spline adaptor onto the spindle
and against the retainer.

With the valves in the off position, locate and fit the handle over the spline adaptor, ensuring that the handles are aligned
in the position displayed below.

HANDLE - SECURE FIT
Bring up the handle lock screw and screw into the back of the
handle. Firmly tighten the lock screw using the supplied Key.
Note: If the handle feels loose after installation, remove and
ensure the retainer is on as far as it can go on the spindle.
