USING
• Make sure the juicer is placed
on a flat, stable surface and
NOT connected to the mains
supply.
• Disassembly: Pull the Handle
(5) to the right to unclip it. This
will then allow you to remove
the Transparent cover (2),
Juicing net (3) and the Middle ring (4)
Wash the disassembled parts and the Juicer jug (8) in warm, soapy water. Rinse
and dry. They are now ready to use. Never immerse the Base Unit (7) in water
or any other liquid. We do not recommend putting the Transparent Cover (2) or
Juicer Jug (8) in the dishwasher as the high temperatures can cause the plastic
to fog over after many washes.
The non-transparent components are OK to put in the dishwasher.
Re-assembly: Place the Middle Ring (4) on to the base unit. Put the Juicing Net
(3) over the centre shaft (you may need to turn it a little to align it properly. Press
the Juicing Net (3) firmly into place.
Fit the Transparent cover (2) then bring the Handle (5) up and lock it into place.

HOW TO USE
LET’S JUICE!
Now that your juicer is cleaned and properly assembled, it’s time to perform a quick
check to make sure everything is ready to go.
•
•
•
•
Connect the plug to the mains supply. The switch should light up blue.
Turn the power switch to either position 1 or position 2. The motor should start.
If it does then it means all is well with the assembly. Turn switch back to OFF
position
If the juicer won’t run call: 01733 404703 Our service line staff will be happy
to help.
Assuming all went well, the next thing you will want to do is line the Residue Barrel
(6) with an old plastic shopping bag or similar. This will save on cleaning time
later! Place the Juicer Jug (8) under the spout.
FRUIT/VEG PREPARATION
• First of all, put the bananas away. It’s a scientific fact that you can’t get juice from
a banana by mechanical means, sorry! Pretty much any other fruit or juicy veg
is fair game.
• As a rule of thumb, you would put through the juicer any part of the fruit/veg that
you would normally eat. That means citrus fruits should be peeled first - unless
you atually like the taste of orange peel! It also means that large stones need
to be removed from peaches, plums etc. You can’t get juice from a stone and
they could damage the machine. Small, soft pips should be OK to put through,
however.
JUICING
• Switch on the juicer. Setting 1 (slow) is good for soft fruits and vegetables. Setting
2 (fast) is better for more firm fruits and vegetables. Feel free to experiment and
see what works best for you.
• Ensure the food pieces are cut to a size that will fit in the food chute. The Swan
Juicer has a generous sized food chute, so many items can be put through whole
- but still remove those stones where necessary!
• Drop the food into the food chute and insert the Pushing Bar (1)
• Press firmly down on the Pushing Bar (1) to force the food through the spinning
Juicing net.
• The pulp will go one way - into the Residue Barrel (6), and the juice will go t’other
way - into the Juicer Jug (8)

HOW TO USE
WILL IT JUICE?
Here’s a list of fruit and vegetables that are popular for juicing. There are MANY
others, but these should get you started:
•
Any citrus fruit like oranges, lemons etc (peel first) but leave the pith in place if
you can as this contains good nutrients!
Apples, pears peaches, plums (remove large stones), grapes, melon, strawberries etc. No need to peel
Any root vegetable like carrot, parsnip, beetroot etc
Cucumber, spinach, kale (particularly nutritious!), celery, fennel
Peppers like capsicum, even chillies (if you’re feeling brave)
•
•
•
•
How you mix and match these is entirely up to you. Experiment and have fun! Note:
It is best to enjoy your juice as soon as possible to gain maximum nutritional benefit
from it.
CLEANING
•
•
This is best done immediately after use
Switch off and unplug the juicer. Ensure the Juicing Net (3) has stopped spinning before disassembly
Remove to warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. TIP: Use a nylon brush
to clean/unclog the Juicing Net
Never use metal or abrasive cleaners. Never use strong chemical cleaners
The Base Unit (7) can be cleaned by wiping down with a soft cloth moistened
in a mild detergent solution. NEVER IMMERSE THE BASE UNIT IN WATER OR
RUN IT UNDER THE TAP
We don’t recommend putting the trnsparent parts in a dishwasher as the high
temperatures can cause them to discolour
