Voltage indicators
The Volt Stick is an instrument for safely checking the presence of an
AC voltage in cables, wall sockets, fuses, junction boxes, etc. No current flow is needed for correct operation.
Examples of application areas:
• Locating breaks in cables outside the insulation.
• Detecting blown fuses in fuse or distribution boxes.
• Distinguishing between live and neutral in single and three-phase
installations.
• Identifying live cables in junction boxes.
• Checking connected switches.
• Locating faulty lamps connected in series (Christmas tree lights).

The Volt Stick PRO, with its forked tip (patented), has an unsurpassed voltage
range and increased selectivity. This is because the maximum sensitivity is between
the two prongs of the fork. Outside the fork the sensitivity is low, so external interference fields have little effect.

"The Tracker dog" - VS3
What is “The Tracker dog” VS3?
VS3 is a fuse detector with multiple functions for checking and
troubleshooting electrical installations.
VS3 has been nicknamed “the tracker dog” because of its
broad functionality, which includes tracing fuses and phase
connections. In addition to these functions, it is also an excellent socket tester, showing how the socket is connected using
both graphics and text. It is also an RCD tester for 30 mA
RCDs. Tripping the RCD enables you to check the tripping time
and also that the RCD is working properly.
VS3 comprises two units, which communicate via radio. The
range with a clear line of sight is 1.2 km. However, this can be
affected to some degree by various materials, walls, reinforcements, etc.
How can I check...
… the configuration of a wall socket?(How the wall
socket is connected?)
Connect the transmitter to the wall socket you want to check.
Press the test button and the socket’s connections will be
shown, together with voltage and frequency, by the receiver
display. A potentially hazardous socket is indicated by an audible signal.
… which fuse is linked to the socket?
Connect the transmitter to the socket for which you need to
locate the fuse. Now move the receiver over the fuses. This
works for both porcelain fuses and circuit breakers. The display
shows a bar and a numerical value. The correct fuse is indicated by the highest value. Two-thirds of the fuses do not even
need checking. The display immediately indicates which fuses
belong to the correct phase.

The transmitter, which is connected to a wall socket, generates
current pulses that affect the mains voltage. The receiver’s
highly sensitive sensor is able to detect the current pulses,
which are mostly contained only in the cables and fuses between the socket and the transformer station. There will always
be some degree of dispersion or crosstalk owing to system capacitance. VS3 has a unique function that suppresses disruptive signals from other phases, resulting in excellent selectivity.
The phase identification function is also unique in that it is
non-contact. The phase to which the transmitter is connected
becomes a reference phase. All that remains to do is to check
the phase to which cables, fuses or appliances are connected,
without having to remove insulation. Phase sequences can be
checked easily and safely.
… the phase to which an appliance is connected?
Connect the transmitter to any socket. The phase to
which this socket is connected will be the reference phase for
measurements and will be designated phase “1”. All you need
to do now is hold the tip of the receiver close to the connection cable or socket, etc. that you want to check. The display
immediately shows, using both graphics and text, which phase
is present in the measurement area. Three-phase connections
are checked by holding the tip of the receiver against each
phase conductor. No risk! No need for crocodile clips or similar
items.
… an RCD?
Connect the transmitter to a socket. Press the test button. VS3
now generates a fault current of 30 mA between phase and
ground. Read off the display quickly and easily! The display
shows the number of milliseconds it took to trip the breaker.
Max test time is 300 ms.

Very convenient multimeters. Despite their small
size, they have a very high safety rating;
CAT IV 600 V, CAT III 1000 V. They are protected
against faulty connection by an electronic fuse with
automatic reset.
The instrument is equipped with a non-contact voltage indicator, as well as voltage indication using a
measurement probe. HOLD function (not DMM 904)
and powerful LED light. The permanently attached

of the instrument.

Smart multimeters
