WHAT IS ACETECH AVL?

ACETECH AVL © Copyright ®™ (Auto Vehicle Logging) is the only CAN ISO J1939 (Controller
Area Network) tracking unit in the European / World market presently. We pride ourselves in having
a control system that operates on the same communication protocol as the base vehicle.
The ACETECH AVL tracking / logging (vehicle parameters recording) unit is a highly accurate
recording device that when installed in vehicles allows you to monitor driving behaviours and
vehicle status 24/7.
Because it is interfaced into the base vehicle CAN BUS system the interconnection is a simple
two wire connection into either the diagnostic socket directly, behind the diagnostic socket or
indeed anywhere we can pick up the CAN BUS (CAN H & CAN L wires)
Directly interfacing with the base vehicle CAN BUS apart from being simplistic to fit, allows us
limitless vehicle data (Complete vehicle BUS data) which sets this AVL system apart from any
other system available in the world today.
The data obtainable from this CAN BUS system is absolutely limitless and is only limited by
various / varied customer requirements
In the more conventional systems every vehicle input parameter that is required to be monitored have
to be physically wired into as an input thus making the system more complex and more susceptible
to failure because of the added wiring and connections.
ATSR is unique in that our hardware and software is designed and manufactured in our
state of art facility in IDA Business Park, Tullamore, Co.Offaly.
How it Works:
Tracking / Vehicle Logging Device Features
• GPS Vehicle Positioning , Speed, Fuel Consumption, battery level monitoring, direction
of travel etc. - depending on Customer requirements Can Be Customized to report to a
base station at time intervals set by the end-user;

Vehicle Data Transmitted via GPS/GPRS, GSM, or WiFi to FTP Server and/or a number of
other types of servers depending on Customer needs;

Remote Vehicle Command Implementation & Deployment – can be used to render stolen
vehicles inoperable, or to send instructions to manned or unmanned vehicles, machinery,
equipment or facilities – e.g. conduct diagnostic tests on remote equipment or vehicles in
the field, or reprogramming of flash patterns of ambulances without the need for operator
inputs;
Gyroscope / Accelerometer provides for end-user continuous tracking of vehicle even when
direct-line synchronous satellite tracking is not Available (e.g. tunnel, buildings, parking
garages, etc…) for enhanced, continuous reporting;

LCD / TFT Monitor Interface for on-board satellite navigation system and/or text
messaging instructions to and from Office/Base and the vehicle; (Hands Free Built in
touch screen mobile phone)

USB and serial RS232 interface

Interface:
The ACETRACK™ is designed to interface with our CAN ECU solid state controller board. This
unit then allows you to have a full black box functionality in that you can remotely dial in to vehicle
and activate outputs. You can also monitor all inputs and outputs operated on vehicle.
