Keep it in a safe place for future reference. After removing the packaging, make sure the appliance is undamaged. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact an authorized service centre. z Do not leave parts of packaging (plastic bags, foam polystyrene, nails etc) within reach of children or unqualified persons since they are potential sources of danger. z Before connecting the plug into the socket, check that the working voltage of the appliance complies with that of your electrical system, If in doubt, contact professionally qualified assistance. z The use of adaptors, multiple plugs or extensions is not recommended. Where this is unavoidable, please use approved devices which comply with the safety provisions foreseen by law and check that they are compatible with the electrical power of the appliance If in doubt, contact professionally qualified assistance. z Any installation not conforming to the above instructions may compromise the safety of the appliance and cancel the guarantee. z The appliance was exclusively designed for domestic use to squeeze citrus fruits. z For safety reasons: 1. Do not use the appliance with bare feet and with wet hands or feet 2. Do not use the appliance outside home 3. Do leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents.(sun, rain….) 4. Do not let children or unqualified people use the appliance 5. Never pull on the power cord or on the appliance itself to unplug if from the power outlet 6. Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged into the main power outlet. 7. Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids 8. The power cord of the appliance must not be replaced by the user. If necessary, contact an authorized service centre or a qualified technician. 9. Switch off and do not tamper with the appliance, should it breakdown and/or not function correctly. Contact an authorized service centre for any repairs and ask for original spare parts. 10. Make the appliance unserviceable at the end of its running life by unplugging it from the power outlet and cutting the power cord. Abide by the current standards in your country for instructions on its disposal. 11. DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE z Before using the appliance, wash all parts which are coming into contact with food with a normal dishwashing detergent: lid, large juicing cone, small juicing cone, filter and juice container. Dry thoroughly. 2 Cover Head 1 Head 2 Filter Receptacle with mouth Linker Housing ACCESSORIES Juicing Cone The large juicing cone (Head 1) is for large citrus fruits, i.e oranges. The small juicing cone (Head 2) is for small citrus fruits, i.e. lemons The juicer is supplied with the small cone assembled inside .the large cone. Note The large cone can only be used when it is assembled on the small cone. Spout of the juice container The juice container has a spout that can be raised or lowered. During use, if the spout of the appliance is in a raised position. Then the juice remains inside the container. On the other hand., if the spout is in the lowered position, then the juice falls directly inside a glass or container placed under the spout. To change the position of the spout, move the spout upwards or downwards with a light pressure. 3 Note After use, the spout must always be in the raised position. . INITIAL START-UP z z z z z Rest the appliance on a horizontal and stable surface away from heat sources. Assemble the appliance by following the procedure indicated in the drawing. Select the type of cone in relation to the size of the citrus fruit and move the spout of the container to the desired position: raised or lowered (refer to the section on “Accessories and Spout of the juice container”) Completely unwind the power cord and connect the plug to power outlet. Cut the citrus fruit in two sections and press each half lightly on the juicing cone. The juicer starts to turn. Simply remove the pressure from the cone to stop the juicer. Tips and suggestions To get as much juice as possible from the fruit, press the citrus fruit onto the cone several times instead of keeping it continually pressed. Attention! z Too much pressure on the cone may cause the motor to block. z Do not let the juicer operate for more than two minutes consecutively. z Wait five minutes between each use to allow the motor to cool. z Do not let the power cord hang from the bench top. z Do not insert sharp cutlery or objects while the cone is moving. z After use, disconnect the plug from the power outlet and place the spout in a raised position. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE z z z z z Before carrying out any operation, always disconnect the plug from the power outlet. Disassemble the juicer and wash all the parts-expect for the motor base-with water and dishwashing detergent. The motor base should only be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Never wash the parts in a dishwasher. Do not immerse the body of the appliance in water or other liquids. Never use chemical or abrasive substances. 4 Notice about recycling Your product is designed and manufactured with high quality materials and components which can be recycled and reused. This symbol means that electrical and electronic equipment, at their end-of-life, should be disposed of separately from your household waste. Please dispose of this equipment at your local community waste collection/recycling centre. In the European Union there are separate collection systems for used electrical and electronic products.
