Wall mounting Slide side part to one side (Fig. 1). The panel is now removed. You can now drill the holes in the wall. Once the holes have been drilled, the cable is inserted and the housing secured to the wall. Connect power supply according to circuit diagram (Fig. 7) and refit panel. Slide side part together and switch on mains. Accessories: 1 wall sheet Fig. 4 Fig. 2 1. Operating mode The SAFETYLUX® Type Ruby RU29 is an aluminium profile light with a modern design. It can be used as emergency and directional lighting. It can be seen up to a distance of 29 m away. This emergency and directional lighting is either available with conventional function monitoring in the form of a test button or with automatic function monitoring (data check AF). Up to four different types of installation are possible. Depending on the version, the emergency light can operate for between 1 and 3 hours. 4. Ceiling mounting 5. Pendant mounting Slide side part to one side. The panels are now removed. Remove plug from upper part of housing. Screw a threaded nut onto the threaded tube and slide the threaded tube from above through the ceiling mounting box and secure with a second threaded nut. Fit ceiling mounting box on ceiling. After inserting the mains cable, secure housing to ceiling mounting box with threaded nut. Connect up mains according to circuit diagram and refit panels. Slide side part together and switch on mains. Slide side part to one side. The panels are now removed. Remove plug from upper part of housing. Secure the two square threaded connectors with sockets to upper part of housing. Screw pendant rods into sockets, slide baldachin over pendant rod, screw pegs onto pendant rods and guide mains cable through pendant rod into housing. Attach light. Connect mains according to circuit diagram and refit panels. Slide side part together and switch on mains. 2. Replacing the illuminant Accessories: Accessories: The bulb is replaced without any tools. Wall bracket mounting Guide cable through wall bracket and secure wall bracket to wall. Slide side part of housing to one side. Now remove the panels. Remove plug from upper part of housing. Use threaded tubes and threaded nuts supplied to connect housing to wall bracket. Insert mains cable and connect according to circuit diagram. Slide in panels and snap side part back in. Switch on mains. Accessories: 1 wall bracket 2 threaded tubes 13 mm 6 threaded nuts 13 mm • Ready light: T erminal 2 and 3 (L1 und N) = 230 V non-switched mains, charge battery • Permanent light: Terminal 1 and 3 (L2 und N) = switchable net, mains can be switched if light is also to light up when the mains is present 8. Regular maintenance work • Weekly: emergency light function = press test button on light or switch off mains • Annually: perform endurance test = switch off mains and measure period of light • Bulb replacement: change illuminant every 10 - 12 months if maintained 9.
