3.2 Coffee maker section
When the water reaches the comect temperature, the hot water valve of the
left or right container opens and the coffee-making process begins if the
coffee-making command has been given. The hot water runs onto the
sprinkler plate and is dispersed over the ground coffee. The coffee created
here is mixed through the coffee blenders in the cofee makers. The amount
of coffee can be read off the gauge glass. The coffee can be drained off using
the drip taps.
WARNING
- Connect the machine to a 3 phase wall socket with neutral and earth
Wires.
- Connect the machine to the cold water mains supply.
4. INSTALLING THE B 600W DUO
Before installing the machine, check the main voltage on the factory
identification plate (see fig.4.01). This should be in accordance with the main
voltage. The factory identification plate can be found on the back panel of the
machine. The B 600W Duo has a power consumption of 10100 watt and
should be connected to a 415 Volt wall socket with neutral and earth wires.
These should each be fused with 16A. The wall socket should be within one
metre of the machine. The mains cord is 5 x 25 mm and 1.5 m long.
The cold water connection is provided by a connecting hose with a 3/4"
connection and the hose is 1.25 m long. The water pressure of the cold water
mains supply should be between 1.5-8 atm. All connections can be found
underneath the machine (see fig. 4.028). The mains cord, connecting hose
and the overflow hoses should be fed through the worktop on which the
machine is to be placed. The sizes and positions of the various holes
are shown in the drawings (4.02C). An outlet should be placed under hole “A”
in order to connect the various overflow hoses (see fig.4.02A).
Installation should take place as follows:
- Lay the machine on its side (with a clothfowel underneath).
- Connect the water hose up to the machine.
- Aftach the overflow hoses to the machine and the drip tray.
- Feed the connecting cable, connecting hose and the overflow hoses
through the holes in the worktop underneath the machine.

When the machine is switched on using the main switch (see fig.6.01A) and
the ON/OFF touch pad, the boiler will fill up to the electrodes at the top. The
electrodes in the boiler have the following functions:
* The minimum electrode (R2) switches everything off when contact is
broken. When this is reached the boiler elements and the cup warmer
will be switched on.
* The middle electrode (R3) stops the brewing process when contact is
broken and is restarted as soon as the top electrode is reached.
* The top electrode (R4) will refill the boiler with water after a fixed
time delay when contact is broken.
À temperature sensor (R1)(NTC) is installed in the boiler. When the correct
temperature has been reached in the boiler, the green pilot light will go on,
on the control panel. The set brewing process will only then begin. The
brewing process takes, approx. 9 minutes, for 1 full coffee maker. This is
approx. 0.75 litres per minute.
10.2 Adjustment of the NTC sensor.
The temperature sensor (NTC) connected to the printed circuit can be
adjusted as follows:
Remove the faston (2.8mm) from the NTC sensor in the boiler.
Secure a resistance for these fastons of 4700 (max. tolerance = 5%),
this resistance should correspond to a temperature of approx. 88°C.
Now turn trimmer "3" (see fig.10.01C) anti-clockwise until the green
pilot light on the control panel comes on.
- After this remove the adjusting resistance and replace the fastons on the
NTC,

10.3 Adjustment of the process time
To adjust the process time, the hot water valve should first be checked to see
if it provides a good flow. Follow the following steps:
- Remove the basket filter and put a measuring jug (min. 1 litre) on the
coffee blender.
- Start the brewing process on the side where the jug has been placed and
measure the flow through the valve. This should be 0.75 litres per minute.
When this value deviates too much, then the machine should be checked to
see if the flow is impeded by scale deposits in the valve.
If this is the case then the machine should be descaled and the above
procedure should be carried out again.
When the flow is correct and it is only the process time which is not correct
then the following steps should be taken:
- Put both coffee blenders and basket filters into the machine.
- Empty both reservoirs completely.
- Turn trimmer “1° {see fig.10.01A) anti-clockwise to the maximum process
time.
- Make sure that the switch "517 is in position "0".
Press the right “6 litre” touch pad, the process will begin.
DURING THE PROCESS, KEEP À CHECK ON THE RIGHT
RESERVOIR.
- If there is 6 + litres in the reservoir, put the switch “31” on the printed
circuit directly to position “1”. The red LED will come on, on the printed
Circuit.
- Using a suitable screwdriver, turn trimmer “1" slowly clockwise until
the red LED goes out.
- Put the switch “51” back into position "0", now the brewing output has
been adjusted.
10.4 THERMOSTAT
The temperature in the boiler is controlled by the thermostat and is approx.
96°C. The setting of the thermostat can be changed by adjusting this. It is
sensible to measure the temperature of the boiler when adjusting the setting.
The temperature should be measured near the base of the boiler.
12. Timer (optional)

Setting the switching on time
- — = | Decide on the number of hours and minutes that are required between the
12.01} setting up of the timer and the switching on time by the machine.
00.00 until 01.00hrs per minute
01.00 until 10.00hrs per 10 minutes.
10.00 until 99.00hrs per hour
For example:
It is now 13.00 hrs an on 15.30 hrs the machine has to be switched on. Set
the timer up for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
To set the timer is as follows:
- Turn button [2] clockwise until the correct time [2.30] appears.
- Press the start button [4], a red light will start to flash to indicate that the
timer has started the countdown.
- The ON/OFF and the Temperature pilot lights on the control panel
will also start to flash.
It is now possible to carry out the following settings:
* Coffee-making (also on both sides)
* Reservoir heating, of the reservoirs to be used
Once the switching on time has elapsed, the timer emits an sound signal.
This means that the water in the boiler is about to warm up and after that
the preset processes will begin.
IMPORTANT

making processes will begin. These coffee-making processes can only be
stopped by pressing the STOP touch pad on the control panel.

seen by pressing button [1].When the timer is at 00.00 or displays the time/
hour, the machine can be used normally. By pressing the bution [4] once,
the last pre-set time will appear. By pressing the button [4] twice, the pre-
