as much energy as a typical single family home

EPA SNAP Compliant – Sustainable Design
The Significant New Alternatives
Policy (SNAP) Program is EPA's
program to evaluate and regulate
substitutes for the ozone-depleting chemicals that are being phased
out under the stratospheric ozone protection provisions of the Clean
Air Act (CAA).
• Refrigerants for Ultralow Temperature Freezers
• 40 CFR part 82 (Ethane and Propane to replace Hydrocarbons)
• Foam Blowing Agents
• SNAP proposal eliminates R-143a and most other high GWP blowing
agents between 2020 and 2021
• 2020 this will be Government mandate
• Cost for refrigerant and maintenance will escalate further

Sustainability – Natural Refrigerant Benefits
• R290:
• More energy efficient than other HFC Refrigerants achieving energy
savings of up to 40%
• Provides reduced heat emissions from the compressor, this is due to
the compressors lower operating temperature
• Generates lower noise omissions than other HFC Refrigerants
• Offers ZERO ozone depletion and has a very low GWP (Global
Warming Potential)
• Increases the working life cycle of your commercial refrigeration
equipment
• Can recover the unit’s operational temperature quicker by using less
energy than other forms of equipment using alternate HFC
