4 Product storing and installations
The product must not be stored and installed
• in the place with excessive humidity,
• in the place with dropping or running water,
• in the place with high dust pollution, mechanical vibrations or impacts,
• in the place out of temperature limits specified in the section 2 Technical specifications,
• close to heat sources (e.g. radiators or air ventilators, direct sunshine)
• in the reach of children.
Connect the product's inputs and outputs firmly to the coaxial cable.
• Ensure the free space for the air circulation (space on sides and bellow the product
should be at least 20 cm and the space over its top at least 50 cm).
• Do not cover the product (e.g. with curtains etc.).
• Do not place any containers with liquids (vases, glasses etc.) or naked flame sources
(lighted candle etc.) on the product.
5 Product connection
Connect the product in accordance with this manual and valid regulation. To connect the product
inputs and outputs use high-quality 75 Ω coaxial cable designed for satellite (or terrestrial)
reception. The coaxial cables shall not be broken, the minimum bending radius shall be 5 cm.
Mount the F connectors on the ends of cables. You can use screw, crimp or compress types of
connectors. Connect the cables into the F sockets of product and fasten them with an appropriate
• interconnect F socket marked IN with output of multiswitch
• interconnect F socket marked OUT with input of satellite receiver.
• interconnect chosen cinch socket with output DC 0/12 V of satellite receiver (G1/1ECN-1
The wiring examples are shown in the section 10 Wiring diagrams or at the website www.empcentauri.eu.
Generator repeats commands received from F socket marked OUT to F sockets marked IN. Final
command at F sockets marked IN is result of “OR” function of command at F socket marked OUT
and command generated by generator. In addition to commands DiSEqC 1.0 are added analog
commands (except polarization), in addition to analog commands are added commands DiSEqC 1.0.
7 Safety
Make sure the antennas are grounded properly.
Connect all devices to power grid only after all connections are finished and checked.
Never work on the product, TV set or other powered products during or before a storm!
A lightning stroke into the antenna may cause dangerous overvoltage in the product
metallic parts.
If the product gets into contact with liquids (e.g. dropping water or spilled drinks) it should
be disconnected from the grid immediately.
8 Product maintenance
Maintenance consists especially of cleaning of the product.
Always disconnect power supply cables of all installed products when performing any
maintenance on the product. If you have to enter places with a risk of fall, pay attention to
your safety.
Use only dry cloth to clean the product and do not use any liquid agents.
Coaxial cables installed outdoors should be replaced once in a few years. Every 2 years unscrew
the coaxial cable and clean connector contacts or shorten the coaxial cable by approx. 2 cm.

6 Product settings
Generator generates at F socket marked IN analog commands + commands DiSEqC 1.0,
depending on voltage at cinch sockets (G1/1ECN-1) or on position of switches (G1/1ECNman-1).
