including the group that formed Nascar Indoor Racing. His passion for design and construction, combined with his entrepreneurial spirit and business background, led him to form
Monzures Development in 1999.
George has played an instrumental role in concepting, designing and building many successful Valley businesses, including North Scottsdale Dermatology, Scottsdale Center for Sight,
Barcelona Restaurant in Scottsdale and Chandler, Espressions Coffee Roastery, Sol y Sombra
Spanish Kitchen and Lounge and Pussycat Lounge. He is also been a long-standing owner and
investor in several Valley restaurants and bars. Additionally, George has designed and built

His work and expertise has garnered favorable media coverage by local and national publications including: US News & World Report, Entrepreneur Magazine, Luxe Magazine, the
Arizona Republic, House Beautiful Magazine, Food & Wine Magazine, Nation’s Restaurant
News, the USA Today and Sonoran Living (TV) among others.
George is an active member of the community and firm believer in “giving back”. His late
father taught him the importance of philanthropy and community service. George is a former
Scottsdale’s Active 20-30 Club member, where he served on the Membership and Nite Flite
Committees. In 2008, he chaired the record-setting 19th Annual Nite Flite charity event, a
nationally recognized golf tournament and block party fundraiser that benefits children’s
charities throughout the Valley and raised over $260,000. In 2007, he was recognized by
the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as one of 20 AZ Finest honorees and raised more than $26k for
the foundation in that year. Additionally, George is a supporter of the Scottsdale Healthcare
Foundation. He donated his time and resources to design and construct the custom granite
fountain in the lobby at the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center at the Shea Campus of Scottsdale
