User Instructions
Thank you for purchasing a quality Spa system. In order to get the full benefit from this product
and have many years trouble free service please follow the simple instructions below.
Spa Bath Bathing Safety
If you suffer from a heart condition or are pregnant consult your doctor before taking a Spa bath.
DO NOT allow children to bathe in the Spa unattended.
DO NOT take a Spa after a large meal or after drinking alcohol.
DO NOT over do it! Start by having the Spa on for a short period and build up gradually each
bath time.
DO NOT bathe in hot water above 40 Degrees Centigrade (104 F)
DO NOT use large quantities of bubble bath, it will cause excessive foaming.
Care and Maintenance
DO NOT use bath oils, these will coat the pipes and cause a build up of grease.
DO NOT clean the Spa fittings with abrasive or multi-surface cleaners. Use only mild soapy
water and a soft cloth.
MAINTAIN your Spa system using Refresh which is available in a six month care pack.
Testing R.C.D.
An R.C.D. MUST be fitted to the electrical supply it is an essential safety feature. If one has not
been fitted DO NOT use the bath and consult a qualified electrician. (See installation instructions
for details.)
Test at least once a month as follows.
1. Turn the R.C.D. to the ON position.
2. Press the ‘TEST’ button. The R.C.D. should trip to the ‘OFF’ position. (If the R.C.D. fails to trip
off consult a qualified electrician.)
3. Switch on as normal when the bath is to be used.
Self Cleaning Programme
All Bronte Spa’s have a Automatic self cleaning system. When the bath is emptied the system will
blow out after a short delay. The system will only blow out if the Spa has been used.
At any time the self cleaning mode can be activated manually. See individual instructions for
details.

Original Spa System
The Original Spa System has a single on/off and air
control.
On/Off Button
To start the Spa system press and release the round
button.
The spa will start at it’s highest speed, each subsequent
press will reduce the speed. There are five speeds in
total the last press will stop the spa.
Self Cleaning
The self cleaning function can be operated both automatically and manually.
Automatic Self Cleaning:
After the spa has been stopped a timer will start after approximately 15 minutes the Spa will start
and blow the system out. The self clean will run for two minutes and then stop. The Spa system
must have been used for the automatic self clean to operate. The sequence can be stopped at
any time by pressing the on/off button
Manual Self Cleaning:
To operate the self clean system manually with the bath empty press the on/off and cycle
through the speed until the spa stops. In 15 minutes the Spa will start and blow the system out.
The cleaning cycle can be stopped by pressing the on/off button during the cycle.
Optional Extras
Chromotherapy AquaLight
The Bronte AquaLight is operated by an on/off switch fitted on the bath. Press once to turn the light
on and again to turn the light off. To change Colour, turn the light on and off (double press). The
light goes through each colour in sequence. The last option cycles through all the colours
automatically.
To enjoy this relaxing effect, turn down the bathroom light and let the warm glow and whirlpool
wash away the stress of the day.

Vogue Spa System
The Vogue Spa systems are operated from a multi-function touch pad.
Each Button has a function.
On/Off Button.
Press once to Start and again to Stop the spa.
Water Level Indication Light.
When no water is present the centre Light is Red. If the bath fill reminder has been activated the
light will flash. When water is present the centre light turns Green.
Power Adjustment.
To regulate the power of the spa jets press and hold the+/- button. The power will cycle up and
down, when the desired massage setting is reached release the button. Fine adjustment can be
achieved by pressing and letting go.
Pulsing Massage.
Press to start the pulsing massage press again to stop.
Aqua Light (Optional).
Press to turn on, press again to turn off. (Note: DO NOT turn on when the bath is empty.
ALWAYS switch off before emptying the bath).
Automatic and Manual Self Cleaning.
When the bath has emptied the automatic self cleaning cycle is activated. After a delay of 10
minutes or so, the cycle will start and run for approximately 1 minute. Note the spa must have
been used for the Automatic Cleaning Cycle to operate.
To activate the manual cleaning cycle. Empty the bath, press and hold the on/off button until the
beeper sounds three times (the red light will now flash). After a short delay the self cleaning
cycle will start.

Viva Spa System
The Viva Spa systems is operated from a multi-function touch pad with LED display. This tells
you information and asks you what you would like to do.
The Viva Spa has four basic items in the main menu:
Bathmenu - controls all the bathing functions.
Clock - displays the time.
Timer - sets the beeper alarm to go off after a pre-set length of time. (The Timer can be set on
or off).
Demo - will demonstrate all the functions on the bath in turn.
Optional extra’s are:AquaLight Underwater light
Radio
This a may appear complicated, but once mastered is very easy to use.
A guided tour of your Viva Spa system
If the bath has not been used for some time the control goes to sleep. When you see ‘Bronte’
and the system name press any key to ‘wake up’ the Spa. The bath should be filled to 20 cm (8”)
above the base of the bath.
Starting the Spa and adjusting the power
To Start the Spa system press the On button. After a few seconds the Spa will start to run.
To increase the turbulence press the (+) Key. Each press of the key will increase the turbulence
one step. If you hold the key down then the turbulence will increase until the top setting is
reached. As you press the key you will notice a square at the right of the screen indicating the
amount of turbulence in the bath.
To decrease the turbulence press the (-) Key.
The bath starts on the highest setting.
Moving around the functions
The (Menu) button takes you around all the functions of the touch pad. Each time you press
(Menu) the next function will be displayed and you have the choice to operate that function or not.
Follow the functions on the display card which you can use as an easy reference guide. At any
time you can press (Menu) and cycle through the functions.
With the screen displaying [Bath] press the (Menu) button. The [time] will be shown on the screen.
(The adjustment and operation of each function will be given under its own heading).
Press (Menu) again and [Timer] will be displayed followed by [radio] (if fitted) [Light] (if fitted) and
finally [Demo].
We will run the Demo which will show all the functions of the Spa system. With [Demo] in the
screen press (Select). You will be asked if you want to run the demo [Run?] now press (OK).
The demonstration sequence will operate as each function is reached the function will be
displayed in the screen. Press any key to stop the demo. Now you have seen what the Spa
system can do lets look at each function in turn.

Bathing Functions [Bath Menu]
Bath Menu allows you to adjust the action of the Spa system and choose from five pre-set
massage actions.
When [Bath Menu] is displayed press (Select).
[Spa] will be displayed, pressing the (+) or (-) button will adjust the turbulence of the jets.
[Lagoon] is displayed this is the first of the five pre-set massage actions. To turn the lagoon
action on press (OK). You will notice a small tick next to the name to show which massage
action has been selected. Each press of (Select) will take you to the next massage setting.
Although the massage name is shown in the display to turn it on you simply press (OK). If you
want to turn off the pre-set massage settings and go back to a conventional Spa press (Select)
until [Clear] is reached and press (OK). This can also be achieved by pressing the (ON) button.
The Pre-set Massage actions are as follows:[Lagoon] A gentle relaxing massage.
[Oasis] A relaxing massage with a slow pulsating rhythm.
[Beach] An ebb and flow effect.
[Surf] Let the breakers flow around in a more vigorous and stimulating effect.
[Cyclone] From the highest setting to the lowest setting to give you a good workout.
As a guide Hot water will tend to relax and ease away aches and pains, warm water will tend to
invigorate but remember don't over do it!
Clock [Time]
The Time is displayed in Hours and Minutes on the 24 hour clock. To set the Hours press
(Select) [Set Hrs] and use the (+) and (-) buttons to adjust up or down. When the correct hour
has been reached press (OK). Now set minutes [Set Mins] again use the (+) and (-) buttons until
the correct time is reached and press (OK). The clock is now set.
Timer [TimerOff]
The Timer can be set from one to sixty minutes. If the timer is set for 30 minutes, after this time a
beeper will sound. To turn the timer on Press (Select) you will be asked [TimerOn?]. Press (OK).
To turn off the timer Press (Select) [TimerOff] and press (OK). To set the amount of time
required. Press (Select) until you reach [Set Mins] now use the (+) and (-) key to select up to 60
minutes. Once the time has been chosen press (OK).
The Timer is now Set.
Self Cleaning
The self cleaning function can be operated both automatically and manually.
Automatic Self Cleaning:
A sensor on the outside of the bath detects the water in the bath. When the bath empties the
sensor starts the self cleaning program. After a few minutes the Spa will start the blowout
procedure. The self clean will run for two minutes and then stop. The Spa system must have
been used for the automatic self clean to operate. The sequence can be stopped at any time by
pressing the off button.
Manual Self Cleaning:
To operate the self clean system manually, with the bath empty press the on/off button. When
[Clean?] is displayed press (OK). After a short period the sequence will start and [Cleaning] will
be displayed.

Radio (Optional on Viva Spa)
The Radio has Seven pre-set FM stations
To turn the Radio on press (Menu) until [Radio Off] is displayed. Press (Select) you will be asked
[Turn On?] press (OK). The Radio is now on. The (+) and (-) buttons adjust the Volume.
Choose a Pre-set Station by pressing (Select) until [Radio 1] is found. Each press of the (Select)
button will take you to the next station.
To tune each pre-set station press (OK), [Tune +/-] is displayed. Press the (+) or (-) buttons until
you find the desired station. A short press can be used for fine tuning a longer press will search
for the next station.
Once the station has been chosen press (OK), it will be [stored] in the pre-set station memory.
To turn the radio off use the (Select) key until [Radio on] is reached press (Select) you will be
asked [Turn Off?], press (OK).
Aqualight (Optional)
Use the (Menu) button until [Light] is displayed. Press (Select) and you will be asked [LightOn?].
Press (OK) to turn the light on. The next time you press (Select) you will be asked [Light off?] again
select (OK) to turn the Light off. To change Colour, turn the light on and off (double press). The
light goes through each colour in sequence. The last option cycles through all the colours
automatically.
To enjoy this relaxing effect, turn down the bathroom light and let the warm glow and whirlpool
wash away the stress of the day.

Combination Systems (Vogue Combi, Vogue Elite Combi)
Where a Whirlpool and Air Spa are combined on to one bath all the functions can be operated
from a single touchpad.
The systems can be operated independently or together.
Each function has its own button. The right hand light is Green when the whirlpool is running
and Red when the spa is running. If both system are running together the light will alternate
between Green and Red.

Combination Systems (Viva Combi, VivaLux Combi)
Where a Whirlpool and Air Spa are combined on to one bath all the functions can be operated
from a single touchpad.
The systems can be operated independently or together.
If both systems are running and the whirlpool (ON) button is pressed any adjustment made to
the (+) and (-) will only effect the whirlpool.
If the Spa (ON) button is pressed then adjustment made to the (+) and (-) will only effect the Spa.
If a pre-set massage is being operated by one system, and the second system is started, the
second will be added to the massage. If either of the (OFF) buttons are pressed then the
relevant system will stop leaving one system running.
