These recipes can help you meet your daily protein needs:
• Use them when you are not eating enough protein food, such as meat, fish,
and poultry.
• Use them if you do not like or can not get special drinks such as Ensure Plus®.
• These recipes use Beneprotein Powder® (6 g protein/scoop). Each recipe
serving gives you almost the same amount of protein as 2 ounces (50g) of meat, fish or poultry.
How much should you take?
One serving of each drink or dessert is 1 cup (8 ounces or 250 mL).
Use a total of
serving(s) a day.
For people with kidney problems:
Some of these recipes contain foods you may usually avoid or limit such
as banana, peanut butter, ice cream and even milk. These foods have a
certain amount of potassium, sodium, and phosphorous. Only take the
number of daily servings recommended by your dietitian.
Please phone your dietitian when:
• You want to change the number of servings.
• You want more ideas for high protein recipes.
• You are already eating well.
