Channel Vision’s DVR-4N, DVR-8N, and DVR-16N are 4, 8, and 16
camera Digital Video Recorders that provide a convenient way to record
and view security cameras. These DVRs have standard video outputs as
well as Ethernet connections allowing images to be displayed directly on a
monitor or on a networked computer.

Typical Setup
Connect cameras as shown below. Each camera input has a looping
camera output allowing the signal to be connected to other devices. Shown
below is the DVR-16N which provides 16 camera inputs. The DVR-4N and
DVR-8N only provide 4 or 8 camera inputs, but all other connections are the
same.

Installing a Hard Drive
Channel Vision’s DVR-HD080, DVR-HD200, and DVR-HD320 are 80, 200,
and 320GB Hard Drives for use with Digital Video Recorders. These are
standard IDE computer Hard Drives that have been selected to work well
with Channel Vision’s DVRs. This general quick start guide is intended to
help you through the Hard Drive installation process.
Review your Hard Drive and look for the following features.

You will find a diagram on the Hard Drive that looks
similar to the one shown here. This diagram shows
where to place the jumpers for various applications.
You will see the following terms:
Master or Single - means you have only one Hard
Drive installed.
Master w/ Slave - means this is the master Hard
Drive, but there is also a slave drive.
Slave - means this is the slave Hard Drive and there
is another Hard Drive installed that is configured as
the master.
Rectangle indicates the jumper
is placed over these pins
No rectangle indicates that there is no
jumper in this configuration

product with new or rebuilt parts, free of charge in the USA, for one
year from the date of original purchase. This is a no hassle warranty
with no mail in warranty card needed. This warranty does not cover
damages in shipment, failures caused by other products not supplied
by Channel Vision Technology, or failures due to accident, misuse,
abuse, or alteration of the equipment. This warranty is extended only
to the original purchaser, and a purchase receipt, invoice, or other
proof of original purchase date will be required before warranty
repairs are provided.
Mail in service can be obtained during the warranty period by calling
(800) 840-0288 toll free. A Return Authorization number must be
obtained in advance and can be marked on the outside of the shipping
carton.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other
rights (which vary from state to state). If a problem with this product
develops during or after the warranty period, please contact Channel
Vision Technology, your dealer or any factory-authorized service
center.
