Responsible Manufacturing

Our products are clean in every way from the manufacturing process using

100% solar energy to build the bukes and banning all poluting materials like PVC which is the most common plastic used in the most bike parts and Cadmium, which is a very poluting chemical used in many batteries.

We use Lithium on all our batteries as it is the best clean energy available today for performance application. Lithium is a natural resource that is 100% recyclable.

The Rayvolution

Fosil Fuel Industry has taken advantage of humanity for decades and has been in the forefront of the biggest conflict in mankind history.

Our dependence on it, converted us onto slaves and pushed all industries and political parties to stear us toward a world which we are ashame to leave to our children. It’s time to break the chains… Feel the freedom of alternative commuting!

Pedelec/Moped Hybrid

Your Rayvolt Bike fitted with a Power

Hub can be used in Pedelec Mode 100% compliant with the EU Regulation for

E-bikes: EN15194.

When off-road or if registered as a

Moped, use your EIVA device to swith mode.

EIVA adjust the rated Power from 250W to 1000W, un-limit the top speed from

25km/h to 50km/h, disable the PAS and convert the Push Start Device into a Full

Throttle.

All those settings can be fine tuned to your need in advance settings.

Thumb throttle

According to the European regulation the Thumb Throttle will give you a start push up to 5 km/h. The throttle will just work when the bike is totally stopped.

Battery

Rayvolt bikes are fitted with all Custom sizes top quality batteries.

All our batteries use Samsung SDI Cells mounted 13 in series to reach a rated

Voltage of 48V which is optimum for

E-Bike performance and remains street legal. Having a higher voltage than

36V as on most bikes is an advantage as you need less Current for the same speed resulting in a lower consumption and less heating in the wires. Standard

Batteries have 4 Cells in Parallel to reach 10.5A and HQ Battery has 8 cells in Parallel.

This combination offers 48V 10.5Ah

(567Wh of power) on Standard Battery and 48V 21Ah (1134Wh on HQ Battery).

This is why above most competitors

Battery of 36V 8Ah (300Wh).

Motor

Rayvolt Hub is a very complexe

Brushless 3 phase DC Motor counting

48 different copper coils and magnets placed on the very outer part of the motor perimeter for the best possible torque. The Built in Controller receive heat and position info from the coils and compute where to put the next load at all time in real time within 0.001 second.

Such accuracy gives a Pure Sine Wave

Current offering an unmatched ride comfort:

More Acceleration

More Torque

More responsive

Less Noise

Less Vibration

Less Consumption

The Intelligent Pedal Assist System detects the crankset motion, sends info in real time to the motor for it to answer with proportional power.

There are 6 levels of assistance from no aid to max assistance that can be activated from EIVA’s main screen.

Those levels can be further calibrated from the advanced setting menu.

In Auto mode, the bike will detect your cycling environment and adjust in real time the assistance according to the type of hill you are climbing.

Regen Brake System

The RBS is an electronic braking system, fitted into the brake levers, that sends a data signal to the motor controller that provokes a reverse effect in the motor converting torque into resistance using the wheel inertia to generate electricity and recharge the batteries.

In simple words, the regen braking is acting like an ultra powerful dynamo when the levers are pulled.

The RBS sensibility can be adjusted from

EIVA by adjusting the maximum regen current. Go to chapter … on EIVA user’s manual to setting the RBS.

11

12

The entire Rayvolt technology is built around EIVA.

As her name says, EIVA is your Intelligent Virtual Assistant that converts your bike into a real Smart Bike.

EIVA is wirelessly connected to the controller at all time, displaying basic information as speed, battery state and much more. Also lets you customize your ride experience to its finest settings.

EIVA also has built-in GPS and access to Maps and Virtual City guides to guide you through the best points of interest in Style.

EIVA will also show you the diagnosis in case of an electronic fault in the motor so that you can very easily fix it.

Built with a view of the future:

We used powerful memory, 3G connection, WiFi to create EIVA as we are restlessly working on new futures that will be upgraded automatically.

This means that the latest EIVA software release will be able to be retrofitted into the first Rayvolt bikes.

Check the EIVA user’s manual to set your dashboard or the EIVA app.

General Operation

13

Riding your Rayvolt Bike

First of all, check all your Rayvolt components as break and wheel status.

Start your battery using the key. Before the first use, fully charge the battery using the charger provided by Rayvolt.

The charger will automatically switch off when battery is full.Pull the throttle to give an extra push to start. ATTENTION!

This will give you extra acceleration; always have enough space.

Ride your bike as normal. The IPAS will automatically start assisting when you pedal. The IPAS is in level 3 by default.

Check EIVA user’s manual to change the settings of the IPAS.

Feel the ride on your bike and check the breaking response. Stop the ride immediately if some of the components do not work properly.

To stop riding, simply stop your bike and remove the key to switch off the battery.

Maintenance

Motor

Rayvolt Bike comes with an overheat protection. Remember that you will not be able to run the motor if break is pulled. Avoid riding your bike where water level is too high where you may damage both the battery and the motor.

Battery

All the Rayvolt Bike batteries are

Lithium-Ion batteries. Li-Ion are long life batteries, nevertheless, a proper maintenance will allow you to prolong its life. You can charge the battery directly without removing it by plugging the charger. To remove the battery, disconnect the two cables.

The Li-Ion batteries do not have memory so you better not totally discharge it. Plug the battery to the charger. Check the charger specification table to estimate the charging time.

Bike components

Clean, adjust, inflate, charge and grease.

You should follow these steps for the proper function of your Rayvolt Ozone.

Clean the frame with a damp cloth and never with abrasive products. Grease the chain and the bushings. Inflate your wheels according to the pressure indicated by the manufacturer.

Do not bring passengers or too heavy objects since you could damage the motor and the battery.

Electrical components

Do not manipulate the electrical components yourself, including battery and motor hub. Always contact your closest authorized dealer to fix your

Rayvolt Bike. Handling the electrical components yourself would mean the loose of warranty.

Warranty rights of the owner

Rayvolt Bike, S.L. by this document ensures the end-user that the bicycle manufactured by Rayvolt International

LTD is free of defects and manufactured following the highest quality standards.

Consequently, the warranty covers both parts and labour in case of the repair of any defect in materials or manufacture detected in a new bicycle, within the warranty period and without further limitation than the exclusions that are reflected in this manual, and whenever the maintenance requirements and revisions marked by

Rayvolt Bike, S.L. have been followed according to the conditions contained herein. Rayvolt Bike, S.L. is responsible for any lack of conformity which exists at the time of delivery of the product. When the product is not correct, the buyer is to decide if they want to repair or replace the product. This decision of the buyer, when communicated to the seller, requires both parties to fulfill it with one exception: if the cost of the repair or replacement is disproportionate to the value of the product a more reasonable solution will be taken into account. The way to resolve the issue will be considered disproportionate if it imposes costs on the seller that, in comparison with the alternative solution, are not reasonable, taking into account the value of the goods if there was no lack of conformity, the significance of the lack of conformity and if the alternative solution could be carried out without causing any kind of inconvenience. The repair will be disproportionate when it is uneconomical, i.e. the repair is more expensive than the value of the goods. In this case, the consumer may choose a price reduction or a resolution of the contract. The resolution will not be considered appropriate when the lack of conformity is of little importance.

Warranty terms

Rayvolt Bike, S.L. responds to the faults that are found during a term of five years for the frame, two years for the motor and one year for the parts of the bike from the delivery date, but if the lack of conformity is manifested after the sixth month, the consumer must prove that the defect originated and already existed at the time the product was delivered. The possibility to claim compliance with the provisions of the warranty will expire six months from the end of the warranty term which is the date appearing on the “CERTIFICATE

OF INSPECTION AND DELIVERY”, or on the purchase invoice, should this be later.

Hereby, Rayvolt International LTD, declares that this Rayvolt Cruzer is in compliance with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive 1999/5/EC.
