Explanation of terms
Zone:
Entry time:

Back up battery:
This is a defined area of protection (i.e. a room or a door /
window).
Pre-set time allowed before the alarm sounds once the
system is activated (triggered).
Pre-set time allowed before the armed system is activated.
This protects against tampering with the system (Le.
removing the outer siren enclosure or the control panel).
Device activating when movement is detected within its field
of view. -
Device activating when a door or window has been opened.
External audible warning device.
Provides back up when the mains power supply fails (will not
run the system aver a long period).
In order to avoid false triggering of the system:
+ Do not position PIRs facing windows, direct sunlight, heat sources such as
radiators or draughty areas.
+ Keep pets away from areas protected by PIR sensors (when the system is
armed).

Important
Before you install this alarm please
take these into consideration:
+ Before drilling any holes, please
check for concealed cables or
pipes.
+ Please position the Control Panel
close to a mains socket.
+ Keep the Control Panel out of
reach of small children.
+ Consider the route the cable will
take to your Door Contacts, P.I.R.'s
and External Siren.
+ Follow safety precautions when
using ladders.
+ Secure the cable runs using the
cable clips provided.
+ During installation the power or
back-up battery must not be
connected.
NOTE: In order to avoid unnecessary
false triggering, all zones are time
delayed (not instant) .

Installation Instructions

When selecting the location for the control
(i.e. near front door)

Cable runs
ce the position for the control panel is selected, you can now install the panel:
Separate the front and back of the panel by removing the 2 fixing screws.
Using the back plate as a template, mark out the position of the fixing holes and
drill using a number 6 masonry drill bit. Feed the cable through allowing enough
surplus for wiring into the terminal block and secure the unit to the wali using the
screws and plugs supplied.
When all wiring runs are complete (from the PIRs , door contacts and external
siren), at the control panel, mark all the wires with the zone numbers (this will help
with identification of the zones in case of any problems).
Strip the wires and connect them observing the markings on the terminal block
(see wiring diagrams). Ensure that the connections are tight and secure.

Route all the cables through the cable entry, ensuring that there are no trapped
wires.
The anti tamper link must be placed over one contact (pin) once ail wiring is
complete in order to activate the 24 hour anti tamper facility.
Connect the power supply plug.
Clip the front of the panel onto the back plate (ensure the anti-tamper spring
button is located correctly in place).
Secure the case using the 2 fixing screws.
If you decide not to use all zones, links must be placed between the BLACK and the
WHITE terminals on each of the non used zones (see terminal block markings).
u need to ensure that ALL zone LEDs are not illuminated in order to arm the system
(enter the code, if the LEDs are still on please re-enter the code).

PIR SENSOR / DETECTOR
1. Using a small flat blade screwdriver press and release the clip/button at
the base the sensor case.
. Separate the 2 parts.
Remove the pcb (by unscrewing the 2 fixing screws).
Using the back part of the sensor case as a template, mark out the

position of the fixing holes and drill using a number 6 masonry drill bit.
You may have to remove the PCB in order to access the fixing holes.
Extra care must be taken handling the PCB.
Cut out the cable entry hole and thread the cable through.
Connect the wires to the terminal block observing the colour
Red ~V+
Black-V-
White-Trigger
Secure the pcb on the back part of the case (ensure the terminal block
is at the top of the case (see photo).
Clip both parts of the sensor case together.
Repeat the above for installing the rest of the sensors.
Using the masonry plugs and screws provided, fix the back to the wall.

DOOR / WINDOW CONTACT
These are normally used for protecting the front and back doors
1. Run the wiring to the door / window contacts.
2. Fix the contact with the screw terminals to the non moving
frame of the door / window you want to protect, using the
screws provided
. Fix the other part of the contact (without the terminals) to the
door / window, using the screws provided.
Ensure that they are not more than 5mm apart and that
the arrow on the non wired contact is pointing towards the
wired contact.
. Strip the outer insulation in order to expose the colour wires.
. Now strip back the insulation of the white and black wires
leaving about 2mm bare conductor protruding.
Using a cross head screwdriver, unscrew both terminal
screws on the side of the door contact and make the
connections (see wiring diagrams).
EXTERNAL SIREN
This unit must be fitted out of reach.
1. Remove the 2 screws from the bottom of the external siren box.
2. Separate the 2 parts.
3. Using the back plate as a template, mark out the position of the fixin
holes and drill using a number 6 masonry drill bit. Feed the cable
through allowing enough surplus for wiring into the terminal biock
and secure the unit to the wall using the screws and plugs provided.
Ensure the anti-tamper switch is fully pressed (when securing the
back plate in place).
. Strip the wires and connect them observing the markings on the
terminal block. Ensure that the connections are tight and secure.

. Clip the siren box back and front together and refit the 2 screws.

BEFORE TESTING THE SYSTEM
1. Ensure the power supply is ON and the back-up batteries
are installed.
. All wiring is complete.
. All panels are in place (including External siren and
Control panel).
Both control panel and External siren anti tamper switches
are fully pressed (the anti-tamper spring will ‘click’ when is
fully depressed).
None of the zone LEDs are illuminated [if illuminated press
XXXX (user code) to clear the zones].

Operating the System
if you do not press any key within
15 seconds, while in programming mode,
the system will automatically exit the
programming mode.
HOW TO ARM THE SYSTEM
if any of the Zone LED’s are illuminated, you
may need to enter the user code twice,
once to clear the panel and then to arm.
+ Close all Doors and exit all the areas
covered by the PIR sensors.
+ Press -1-2-3-4- (or your new user
code), you will hear a long tone from
the control panel, then the EXIT time
countdown tone.
HOW TO DISARM THE SYSTEM
+ Press -1-2-3-4- (or your new
user code). 7
+ You will hear a long tone from the
control panel.
Note: There is no audible signal on entering
the premises (the countdown time is silent)
HOW TO CHANGE THE USER CODE
+ Press PROG-1-2-3-4-ENTER
+ Press PROG-1-ENTER
+ Press -X-X-X-X-ENTER (there will be
a long tone from the Pane! to confirm)
+ Press PROG-0-ENTER
Note: X-X-X-X is your new user code!
HOW TO SET THE ENTRY DELAY
This is the time you have to enter your
user code to disarm the system.
+ Press PROG-X-X-X-X-ENTER
+ Press PROG-2-ENTER
+ Press -X-X-X-ENTER (there will be a
long tone from the Panel to confirm)
+ Press PROG-0-ENTER
Note: -X-X-X this corresponds to the
ENTRY TIME, 30 = 30sec; 90 = 90 sec;
300 = 300sec. NO ENTRY DELAY O.
The factory default setting is 20sec.
HOW TO SET THE EXIT DELAY
This is the time you have to exit the
premises once the system is armed.
+ Press PROG -X-X-X-X-ENTER
+ Press PROG-3-ENTER
+ Press -X-X-X-ENTER (there will be a
long tone from the Panel to confirm)
+ Press PROG-0-ENTER
Note: -X-X-X- this corresponds to the
EXIT TIME, 30 = 30 sec; 90 = 80 sec;
300 = 300 sec. NO EXIT DELAY O. The
factory default setting is 15sec.
HOW TO SET À ZONE TO CHIME
When you open the door contact or walk in
view of a pir sensor, the system will CHIME.
+ Press PROG=X-X-X-X- ENTER
+ Press PROG-5-ENTER-X-ENTER (there
will.be a long tone from the Panel to
confirm) X= (1=zonc 1, 2=zone 2)
+ Press PROG-0-ENTER
Note: Only one zone can be set to CHIME.
HOW TO SWITCH OFF THE CHIME ZONE
+ Press PROG-X-X-X-X-ENTER
+ Press PROG-5-ENTER-0-ENTER (there
will be a long tone from the Panel to
confirm)
+ Press PROG-0-ENTER
HOW TO TEST THE INTERNAL AND
EXTERNAL SIRENS

sound for about 15 sec)
