resistoflex® atl breakthrough liner processing technology
Paste Extrusion is the most widely utilized method for producing PTFE pipe and fitting liners, the process was introduced by Resistoflex® in the 50s, and served the chemical industry’s corrosion
resistant needs for many years. However as the chemical industry
utilized PTFE lined piping systems in more aggressive processes,
such as elevated temperatures and pressures and a wider range of
chemical concentrations, the performance requirements for liner
properties increased and a more suitable method for making pipe
and fitting liners was required.
Resistoflex® has been processing PTFE resins for over 50 years
and currently utilizes various methods for producing PTFE liners
including; Isostatic Molding, Ram Extrusion, and Paste Extrusion.
Each process yields different mechanical properties and we match
those with end-use products that meet varying customer needs.
60% better than standard PTFE liners!

Vortex Flowmeters
Robust and universal – for liquids, gases and steam
Vortex meters are used in many different industries to measure the flow of liquids, gases
and steam.
Applications in the chemical and petrochemical industries, for example, in power generation
and heat-supply systems, involve widely differing fluids: saturated steam, superheated steam,
compressed air, nitrogen, liquefied gases, flue gases, carbon dioxide, fully demineralized
water, solvents, heat-transfer oils, boiler feedwater, condensate and more.
Vortex meters are particularly popular in all industries for metering steam.Vortex meters
measure volume flow, but steam systems are generally rated by mass or energy content, so
these meters are frequently used in combination
with a pressure and/or temperature sensor and a
flow computer. A configuration of this nature helps
save energy and is ideal for allocating the costs of
generation across multiple consumers.
The Prowirl 73 vortex meter combines everything
necessary for the direct mass metering of saturated
steam: flow computer, temperature and flow
metering all in a single device.
Advantages at a glance:
• Universally suitable for measuring liquids, gases
and steam
• Largely unaffected by changes in pressure,
temperature and viscosity
• High long-term stability (lifetime K factor), no
zero-point drift
• No moving parts
• Marginal pressure loss
• Easy to install and commission
• Large turndown: typically 10:1 to 30:1 for gas/
steam or 40:1 for liquids
• Large temperature range from -33 0° to 750°F
Temperature Measurement
Endress & Hauser offers sensor assemblies in both American and European styles for a wide range of applications.
Our assemblies meet the highest industry standards for
reliability accuracy and performance. Our product offering
caters to:
• General purpose applications such as HVAC, treatment,
plastics and metal processing

When choosing a plastic piping system, it’s important that
you select the correct material for your application. Key
details such as chemical compatibility, expansion/contraction, temperature, and pressure, are important factors,
when designing a safe and reliable piping system. Let our
plastic piping experts help you choose a system which is
right for your demanding application!
The FGG/BM/CZ™ System Compatible Program
CPVC domestic water, fire sprinkler, and industrial piping systems
have been used successfully for more than 50 years in new
construction, re-pipe and repair. CPVC products are ideally suited for
these applications due to their outstanding corrosion resistance.
Occasionally, however, CPVC and PVC can be damaged by contact
with chemicals found in some construction and ancillary products
such as thread sealants, leak detectors, firestops, etc. Because of this,
the FBC™ System Compatible Program was created.
The FBC System Compatible Program is designed to test and
monitor ancillary products on an ongoing basis to ensure chemical
compatibility with FlowGuard Gold, BlazeMaster and Corzan CPVC
piping systems.
Plumbing Systems
FlowGuard Gold® pipe and fittings are made of high-performance
chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) and offers a unique
combination of benefits
Fire Protection Systems
BlazeMaster® pipe and fittings are the most specified non-metallic
fire sprinkler system in the world
Industrial Systems
Corzan™ Industrial Systems are specially made to meet the hightemperature and high-pressure demands of industrial environments
All designated products qualify for the program by undergoing
rigorous testing, which assures the product will not fail as a result of
chemical incompatibility. Because CPVC products are made with
base resins having different molecular weights and varying chlorine
contents and compound additives, the FBC System Compatible
Program can verify chemical compatibility only with the products
with which they have been tested.
Products in the program display the FBC System Compatible mark
on their label. This mark quickly assures installers that the product
is chemically compatible with FlowGuard Gold, BlazeMaster and
Corzan CPVC products. Only manufacturers that have passed these
specific chemical compatibility tests are able to place the FBC
compatible mark on their product labels. Product manufacturers
agree to not change the formulation of the products accepted into
the System Compatible program without advance written notice
and to submit the products to periodic testing to ensure the product
remains chemically compatible.
The FBC Compatible Program is the only known program of its
kind in the industry designed to increase user confidence and
help eliminate the guesswork about which products are chemically
compatible. The program is in active use in the United States, Canada,
Mexico, 25 European countries, the United Arab Emirates, India and
China.
FBC™ System Compatible Product Listings
LEGAL DISCLAIMER: The FBC™ System Compatible Program is designed to test and monitor ancillary products on an ongoing basis to ensure chemical
compatibility with FlowGuard Gold®, BlazeMaster®, Corzan® and HealthGuard™ CPVC piping systems. The FBC™ System Compatible Program only applies to
FlowGuard Gold, BlazeMaster, Corzan and HealthGuard CPVC. Other manufacturers and/or brands of CPVC piping products are not eligible and do not comply
with this Program. CPVC products are made from compounds which may contain CPVC resins that have different molecular weights and different chlorine content
and these factors can impact the performance of the resulting products. Additionally, CPVC compounds contain performance additives that affect the performance
characteristics of the ancillary product. Thus, the FBC™ System Compatible program is only applicable to assess the chemical compatibility of products and
materials with Lubrizol’s FlowGuard Gold, BlazeMaster, Corzan, and HealthGuard CPVC and bears no liability for any failures that may occur if the products on the
FBC System Compatible Program are used with CPVC products other than FlowGuard Gold, BlazeMaster, Corzan and HealthGuard.
