Amazing Full HD 1080p display
Developed by the same people you trust to engineer amazing
flat-panel HDTV, this VAIO® PC features exceptional picture
quality. Measuring 15.5" and sporting a cinema-inspired 16:9
aspect ratio, the 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution widescreen display
lets you view your games and movies in impeccable detail with
amazing color and contrast from virtually any angle thanks to IPS
(in-plane switching) technology. The LED backlight helps ensure
a bright display with lower power consumption for improved

Combining a brushed aluminum palmrest shaped to precise
specifications and a magnesium alloy chassis, the S Series offers

Hybrid Graphics
By utilizing a powerful AMD Radeon™ HD 6470M graphics card
with 512MB VRAM6, you’ll experience high visual quality and HD
performance without placing huge demands on the CPU.
Plus, the VAIO® S Series puts you in control by offering a Hybrid
Graphics system that allows you to easily set your graphics
performance to deliver power when you need it and energy
savings when you don’t. You can even set your performance
level on the fly without needing to reboot.
A simple hardware switch enables you to choose between two
settings. Select Speed for maximum power while multi-tasking
or running heavier applications or select Stamina to conserve
energy and extend battery life for light computing and mobile
scenarios.
HDD G-Sensor™ Shock Protection
technology
G-Sensor™ Shock Protection technology counteracts sudden
movements by locking up the spinning hard drive to help prevent
potential damage, such as scratching, which could lead to data
loss.
