highest quality pro-audio loudspeaker systems. We believe that developing a good loudspeaker system starts
with designing the correct drivers. Due to our unique, patented driver design, Coda Audio loudspeaker systems are
extremely transparent and detailed, providing outstanding dynamic results. Coda Audio’s advanced transducer
technology offers significant advantage over conventional
drivers in precision and reliability. Almost all critical parts
of the cabinets and the drivers are produced in Europe, in
our own factories, to ensure exacting and extensive control
of all results. Voice coil winding, diaphragm forming, CNC
machining is all undertaken internally by highly qualified
professionals.
Durability and reliability are most important in all professional applications. Rugged construction, featuring Baltic
birch plywood for the cabinets and a very intensive testing process ensure reliability and consistency. The fact that
our entire manufacturing process takes place in our own
factories has produced a substantial reduction in cost and
a high degree of flexibility and efficiency. The wide product
range is designed to offer excellent quality solutions which

The creation of Coda Audio’s own Power/DSP platform,
encompassing a range of two and four channel DSP/amplifiers, with audio networking, graphical user interface all
designed to be the future proof control/power platform for
all Coda Audio speaker systems.
The first product in the range is the LINUS10 a dual channel DSP, Network, Comparator and Amplifier delivering
10000 W of clean power in a light weight 19”/2U package.
The exceptional power of the LINUS10 ensures maximum
headroom and optimal system performance for all Coda
Audio touring systems. This engine technology, already
tried and tested, is now combined with; LINUS CORE – the
dual SHARC floating point DSP processors, ensuring vast
processing power which enables the integration of sophisticated audio algorithms for the most exacting results. The
advanced signal processing includes IIR and phase linear
FIR filters for perfect linearity and superior sound performance as well as look-ahead and frequency dependent
limiters for increased system headroom.

LiNET transmits the digital audio signal over a standard
CAT5 cable. Up to 8 digital audio signals can be sent to
each amplifier via LiNET, buffered and sent to the next unit
via the LiNET link out for daisy chaining. The signal routing
inside the LINUS10 can be controlled remotely or via the
unit’s front panel controls.
LINUS LIVE is an Ethernet based, graphical user interface,
allowing for fast and flexible system configuration, tuning
and control, intuitive and straight forward in design, fast
and practical in use.
LINUS CORE/LiNET/LINUS LIVE a far reaching and powerful set of technologies applied to each LINUS device, allowing complete system integration, configuration and ultimate
control. Completing the LINUS10’s technology count is the
COMPARATOR - the LINUS10 provides integrated feedback loop control for sensor controlled subwoofers. The
Comparator’s electronic circuit loop measures the voice
coil movement and adjusts the amplifier driving voltage
and/or current to correct any driver inaccuracy. The key
advantage is a very extended and controlled response.
Any distortion produced by the driver or the enclosure is
instantly corrected by the feedback.
LINUS CON is a 4 input / 6 output speaker management
system featuring IIR and FIR filtering, delivering all the
LINUS technologies in a standalone controller which provides ultimate system design configuration flexibility for applications where outboard controller options are preferred.
It also allows for LINUS DSP upgrades for existing systems.
Complete with LINUS CORE/LiNET/LINUS LIVE technology, LINUS CON joins LINUS10 as the first products in the
LINUS family to be introduced from a range that will see
additional multi-channel amplifiers/DSP products released
during the course 2014.

LINUS RACK20 is optimized to power Compact Coda Line
Array Line Array Systems, Sensor controlled Subwoofers
and as an addition to AiRAY Line Array Systems.
Application:
LINUS RACK40 is optimized to power the Coda Audio large
touring products including: AiRAY Line Array Systems, Sensor Controlled Subwoofers, Compact Line Array Systems
(bi-amp) in larger configurations.
Coda Audio’s LINUS Tour racks, LINUS RACK20 and
LINUS RACK40, provide complete housing and system
connection solutions for ease of use and rugged protection
for all Coda Audio Line Array and SC systems.
With an internal shock-mount steel suspension system
providing maximum protection to the LINUS amplifiers, the
rack design also features a rack to rack connection system
allowing for flown or ground stacked positioning and the
connection point for the transport system.
The racks also provide an advanced front facing cable
connection patch panel and rear mounted AC mains distribution system designed to facilitate quick and accurate
set-up.
In addition, the LINUS DSP platform provides factory presets for all Coda Audio Product, therefore along with providing FOH system control these racks can be used for application such as; monitor system, delay systems, zoned
systems, in fact wherever you need power & processing
for your Coda system. The LINUS touring rack has an advanced set of technical and physical solutions that will deliver across all application areas. Smart in design highly
durable in construction and constant in delivering highest
possible results the rack design completes the Coda Audio
systemisation concept for touring/temporary applications.
For fixed Installations the LINUS RACK20i and LINUS
RACK40i provide a none shock-mount / AC distribution
version. Both maintain the same LINUS amplification and
patch panel systems and this allows continuity for venues
which may need to increase installed systems size/location on temporary basis with ease from local hire networks.

Description:
The LINUS CON loudspeaker management system is
designed to control all Coda Audio loudspeaker systems.
The 19”/1U unit incorporates 4 balanced analogue inputs, 4
outputs (analogue and AES3) and can receive up to 8 digital
signals via LINET.
The unit can be controlled directly from its front panel or
using the Ethernet based LINUS LIVE user interface.

Sharing system components with ViRAY reduces the
investment cost:
Usually a sound system is a package of different system
components like low-extensions, subwoofers, frames,
amplification etc. Therefore investing in a new system
requires the purchase of its specific system components
increasing considerably the cost.
AiRAY shares the same system components like ViRAY,
including SC2-F – low extension, SCV-F – flyable subwoofer,
LINUS RACKs and of course all sensor controlled subwoofers
like SCP or SC8. Even the cabling of AiRAY and ViRAY in biamp is identical. The FR-AR frame can carry AiRAY, ViRAY,
SC2-F and SCV-F.
AiRAY and ViRAY are acoustically and rigging compatible
and can be used together in the same array.
It allows ViRAY users to upgrade easily to AiRAY using their
existing SC2/SCV cabinets, LINUS RACKs, cables etc.

In various venues (like older theaters) the load capacity
of the ceiling is limited, as a result suspending large line
array systems is impossible. The usual compromise is to
use smaller sound systems resulting in insufficient sound
pressure.
AiRAY is an excellent solution for such applications providing

At the heart of the AiRAY are two 6” dual diaphragm
planar-wave-drivers.

increased power handling, high dynamic and extremely

The AiRAY contains double 12” neodymium ultra low distortion
cone drivers with 4” voice coils. The new developed extreme
efficient long excursion drivers have high flux linear motors
with four demodulation rings for constant inductance, ultra
low distortion and reduced power compression.
The carbon fiber diaphragm minimizes the moving mass
while improving cone stiffness and internal damping to
achieve high sensitivity and outstanding clarity.
AiCOUPLER
The AiCOUPLER sums the energy from all transducers into
a large mutual horn that performs as a single source, without
phase destructions achieving a coherent and uniform
wavefront.
In fact the horn occupies the entire front of the cabinet
increasing efficiency and providing uniform power response
and directivity control over a wide frequency range.

The large waveguide for the two DDP drivers enables perfect
acoustical loading down to 350 Hz with excellent horizontal
pattern control through the mid/high range.
The two 12” cone drivers are symmetrically loaded to the
AiCOUPLER using multiple, optimally spaced slots to
increase the distance between their acoustical centers,
providing consistent coverage down to 250 Hz and
additional sensitivity of 6 dB over 200 Hz. Backwards the two
cone drivers are port loaded to extend the low range of the
system down to 50 Hz.
The two DDP drivers cover the range 350 Hz to 22 kHz while
the double 12” work from 50 Hz to 700 Hz. In the 350 – 700
Hz range all drivers work together, dramatically increasing
the maximum SPL output capability of the system.
FULLY INTEGRATED SYSTEM SOLUTION
AiRAY is a fully integrated sound reinforcement system
including LINUS control racks as an integrated solution for
DSP control, amplification, I/O audio routing, network remote
control and diagnostic. The touring package comprises
transport dollies, rigging accessories, protection covers etc.,
reducing significantly the set up time.
The SC2-F 2x 15” sensor controlled bass extension overlaps
the low range of AiRAY, enhancing the low frequency
headroom and increasing the long throw capability of the
system.

mid/high range reflects to the cone onto the low frequency
drivers. The interference between the direct radiating and
reflected waves produce comb filter response.
The ViCOUPLER ensures that sound is reflected in a
coherent manner because the dimension of the reflective
surface is large compared to the wavelength.
In fact a ViCOUPLER loaded array performs as a single
waveguide mounted in a large, flat baffle (screen) without
diffractions. When sound waves from the mid/high range
gather onto the flat surface, it generates a coherent sound
field providing uniform power response and directivity

What is the Velocity Feedback Loop Comparator?
The specially designed 18” driver includes a built in “velocity
sensor” that measure precisely the movement of the voice
coil. The “velocity sensor” sends information to the Comparator about velocity, excursion and speed of the voice coil
(using XLR cable).
The comparator unit of the LINUS10 amplifier compares the
original input signal to the movement measurement from
the “velocity sensor” and adjusts the amplifier driving voltage and/or current so that the diaphragm moves the way
it should move. This compensates in real time for the non
linearity of the speaker/cabinet.
Reduced group delay
This is a big issue that is most often overlooked in conventional designs. The feedback comparator technology offers
great advantages in the time domain. In fact the upper bass
and the very low frequency are time aligned which means
they are reproduced at the same time resulting in extremely
accurate and musical bass reproduction.
Transducers
The Sensor controlled subwoofers are equipped with extremely long excursion 18” neodymium ultra low distortion
woofers with integrated velocity sensors that measure, compare and control cone movements. The neodymium motor
delivers extreme high magnetic flux for increased efficiency.
The 4” voice coil is 50 mm high, ensuring ultra linear excursion of 40 mm / pp at consistent magnetic force. State of
the art carbon-fiber cone ensure maximum stiffness and
low moving mass. Three aluminum shorting rings reduce
inter-modulation distortion; minimize induction variation
while reducing thermal compression. This design reduces
dramatically the distortion of a typical subwoofer at longer
excursion levels, and improves the overall sound quality and
performance characteristics of the cabinet. The sensor is in
fact an additional voice coil connected to the loudspeakers
voice coil in a high precision, magnetically shielded system.
Electronics and Cabling
The Coda Audio LINUS10 amplifiers provide integrated power and feedback loop control solution for the Sensor controlled subwoofers. The comparator’s electronic circuit loop
measures the voice coil excursion of the driver and corrects
the signal, significantly decreasing distortion. The unit is set
for flat frequency response down to 25 Hz (-6 dB).

Transducers
The SC2-F is equipped with two extremely long excursion
15” neodymium ultra low distortion drivers with integrated
velocity sensor that measures, compares and controls cone
movements. The neodymium motor delivers extreme high
magnetic flux for increased efficiency. The 4” voice coil is
36 mm high, ensuring ultra linear excursion of 26 mm / pp
at consistent magnetic force. State-of-the-art carbon fiber
cones ensure maximum stiffness and low moving mass.
Three aluminum shorting rings reduce inter-modulation distortion, minimizing induction variation whilst reducing thermal compression. This design reduces dramatically the distortion of a typical subwoofer at longer excursion levels, and
improves the overall sound quality and performance characteristics of the cabinet. The sensor is in fact an additional
voice coil connected to the loudspeakers voice coil in a high
precision, magnetically shielded system.

The TiRAY is an ultra compact, passive two-way full range
line array module, designed for small venues where high
fidelity sound and outstanding intelligibility are required. The
system contains two 5” ultra low distortion cone speakers
and a 5” neodymium planar wave driver.
Up to 24 units can be arrayed to achieve extreme high levels
needed for larger venues. The built-in passive crossover
allows multiple modules to be driven with a single channel of
the according LINUS DSP amplifier.
An optional TiLOW bass extension can be added for
increased low frequency response.
The integrated rigging system allows quick and easy flying
or ground stacking. Arrays may be built straight or curved in
various angles to obtain the desired vertical coverage.
When used together with the TiLOW bass extension the

coordinates and many new features. It can be considered

EASE Focus II is the optimal tool for easy and quick prediction of the sound system performance in a given venue.
Compared to conventional aiming software the applicability
of EASE Focus II is much larger. It is not fixed to a single

Two CoRAY4s can be allied top on top as CoRAY4 Twin,
to create consistent symmetrical vertical coverage of 24°
without interferences between the cabinets while the horizontal coverage can be modified from 120° to 60° or 120°
for short throw and 60° for long throw sending more energy
in the far field. In this configuration the system acoustical
output will increase by 6 dB and narrow vertical control at
low frequency for extending the long throw capabilities of
the system.
System Solutions:
IMPORTANT: The CoRAY4 is NOT designed to work without dedicated system controller and therefore should be
use only with proper Coda Audio controllers. The controller
will equalize the system and will ensure limiter protection.

The HOPS8 is a passive 2-way system with an exceptionally high output-to-size ratio and wide coverage of 100° x

State of the art drivers
At the heart of the HOPS8 is the new developed 8”/1.75”
coaxial driver. The 8” cone covers the 60 - 1.500 Hz range
with high efficiency and smooth, linear response. Two
aluminum shorting rings reduce inter-modulation distortion; minimize induction variation while reducing thermal
compression. This design dramatically reduces the distortion at longer excursion levels, and improves the overall
sound quality providing deep and punchy bass. The high
frequency driver contains an ultra light 1.75” annular diaphragm providing exceptional transient response with very
high efficiency from 1 kHz to 20 kHz. This new transducer
was engineered to radiate a single source, coherent 100°
wave front for superior dispersion control and high fidelity
sound.

In the low range both 8” drivers are overlapped increasing the maximum SPL of the system and providing an improved directivity control.

35 Hz – 400 Hz. with 3” voice coil, ensuring linear excursion, and 3 aluminum shorting rings reduce inter-modulation distortion; minimize induction variation while reducing
thermal compression. This design reduces dramatically the
distortion of a typical subwoofer at longer excursion levels,
and improves the overall sound quality providing deep and
punchy bass.
TRUE COCHERENT
At the heart of the D20 is the newly developed 8”/1.75” coaxial driver. The 8” cone midrange covers the 200 - 1.800
Hz range. The high frequency driver contains an ultra light
1.75” annular diaphragm providing exceptional transient
response with very high efficiency from 1kHz to 20 kHz.
CONTROLLED DISPERTION AT HIGH SPL
The low and mid range are overlapped in the range 200
– 400 Hz while mid and high range are overlapped in the
1 – 1.8 kHz range. This increases the maximal SPL of the
system providing improved directivity control.

Large studio monitors are engineered to produce extended
low frequencies at low levels. Whereas, full range PA loudspeakers are not really full range; they are optimized for
high efficiency above 60Hz so require additional subwoofers to extend the lower frequency range. There are few if
any professional solutions for a compact cabinet providing
extended low frequency at high SPL. D20 is such a solution

Two CoRAY4i’s can be aligned, top to top as CoRAY4 Twin,
to create a consistent symmetrical vertical coverage of 24°
without interferences between the cabinets while the horizontal coverage can be modified from 120° to 60° or 120°
for short throw and 60° for long throw sending more energy
to the far field.
In this configuration the system’s acoustical output will increase by 6 dB and narrow vertical control at low frequency
for extending the long throw capabilities of the system.
System solutions:
IMPORTANT: The CoRAY4i is NOT designed to work without dedicated system controller and therefore should be
