Bass notes are Omni-directional and therefore become less directional as they go down in frequency. For best sonic Integration with your speakers, positioning your subwoofer in-front of the listening area will usually provide the best bass performance (Fig 1).
If such position is not possible your subwoofer may be placed anywhere in the room, this will slightly affect the stereo image of your front speakers or the soundstage of your multichannel speaker system.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Corner placement provides the most bass, but sometimes at the expense of accuracy.
- Usually a subwoofer placed near a wall will provide a good balance of power and accuracy.
- Controls are provided to align your subwoofer’s output with that of the other speakers in your system.

1. AUTO POWER
PSW8e-w/10e-w is fitted with an automatic audio signal detection system. If the PSW8e-w/10e-w is plugged in, the unit powers up the moment it detects an audio signal. When the unit does not detect an audio signal, it automatically goes into standby.
2. WIRELESS INPUT
For connecting the subwoofer in wireless input, please see Morel's Sub Wireless receiver manual (purchased separately).
3. RCA INPUT JACKS
The RCA input terminal of the subwoofer amplifier (line in) connects via RCA cable the unit to your amplifier/receiver subwoofer out.
4. PHASE CONTROL
The phase control allows phase adjusting of the subwoofer to match that of the other speakers in your home theater system. With the system turned on, turn the phase control first to 0° then to 180°, and leave it in the position at which the bass level in your room sounds strongest and deepest.
5. FREQUNECY CONTROL
The crossover control determines the range of frequencies your subwoofer will reproduce. When turned to 50Hz, the subwoofer will only issue the lowest bass frequencies. As you turn the knob towards 200Hz, the subwoofer will reproduce more high frequency notes (higher range). When the crossover control is adjusted correctly, the subwoofer, together with the other speakers in your system, reproduces the entire range of frequency.
6. LEVEL CONTROL
The level control adjusts the bass level (volume) of your subwoofer.
Adjust your required level of bass relative to the sound reproduced by the other speakers in the system. The bass level reproduced by the subwoofer will change as you modify the volume control setting on your amplifier/receiver, maintaining the relative level set by this control.
