Jiggery-Pokery Titus BBD Delay User Manual

Titus is a 1U delay, based on the classic Bucket Brigade Delay integrated circuits of the 1970s and 1980s, found in many classic delay pedals. The delay time can be set by the number of BBD stages (#), time (ms) or tempo synced to the Reason transport. The delay line supports up to eight seconds of delay time, regardless of the sample rate or song tempo, and can be set as a reverse delay without feedback. Titus also has a Tap Out and Tap In audio connection, essentially send and return breakout jacks for feedback loops.

Frequently asked questions

You can set the delay time in three ways: by stages, milliseconds, or tempo synced to the Reason transport.

BBD mode uses a fixed clock rate and fixed frequency anti-aliasing low-pass filter, while DDL mode is a typical digital delay with no aliasing. DDL mode allows for longer and more stable feedbacks, while BBD mode gives you the classic vintage sound.

Tap In/Out allows for external feedback loops, adding more depth and complexity to your sound.

You can set both the duration and subdivision of the tempo synced delay, giving you a wide range of possibilities, from minim to semiquaver and everything in between.
