ISM 2.4GHz Digital Audio Frequency
Back in 2011 the UK had a switchover
from Channel 69 (which is now illegal, as
of 2013) to Channel 38. Trantec were the
first to supply a Channel 38 ready product,
and are consistently ready to adapt to any
changes in the industry in the future.
Channel 70
Channel 70 is the free to use, public
bandwidth. All of Trantec’s UHF systems
can be used with Channel 70 meaning you
can plug in and go without having to worry
about licensing.

Wireless System
The S4.04 is Trantec’s simplest plug and play
system, designed to launch you into the world
of wireless. Its rugged and compact frames
hold a reliable multifunctioning system that is
optimised for use with a range of microphones
from handheld, to lapels, to headsets, or
alternatively can be used with a musical

Lavalier Microphones
LP-2
The LP-2 miniature lavalier microphone offers
superb audio quality combined with stylish looks at
an affordable price.
The robustly designed LP-2 is a high quality
microphone consisting of an electret transducer
capsule exhibiting an omnidirectional characteristic.
It has been specifically designed to suit the
requirements of everyday applications and is
particularly suitable for voice applications, where
highly intelligible speech is required. The LP-2 is
available in black, and has a permanently attached
cable.

LM-55
The LM-55 electret sub-miniature microphone
capsule has been provided with a moulded plastic
housing and cable for convenient mounting on lapel
or tie for communications, public address, music
recording and other applications.
The LM-55 features a flat, extended frequency
response suitable for reproduction of voice or musical
instruments. A 1.5 metre long black shielded cable of
2.5mm diameter is provided in the basic configuration.
This cable includes two wires plus a spiral woodshield,
which are soldered to the microphone capsule. A
composite steel retainer plus moulded elastic strain
relief provide a very rugged miniature package. Noise
transmission from handling and clothing movement is
minimal. The LM-55 has a wide band omnidirectional
polar pattern. Internal RFI suppression is included.

LM-212
The LM-212 high quality lavalier microphone has
been designed with the professional in mind. Its
sub-miniature construction, together with its durable
microphone clip makes it an ideal partner for all
area of live work.
It can be used either as a microphone for instrument
pick-up or for delivering highly intelligible speech
or vocals. The extremely low profile of the LM-212
enables this microphone to be used in places where
others have failed due to their more obtrusive size.
With an exceptionally low physical profile, it can
withstand the penetration of moisture and make-up,
and has the same membrane construction as its sister

The headband is engineered from a hard wearing
nylon composite, which has been specially selected
to withstand robust use and can be adjusted to fit

These microphones produce a crisper,
more defined sound and are better at
capturing subtle details of delicate voices
and instruments. They also require power to
operate, which is supplied by the battery in
a handheld wireless transmitter.
Dynamic Microphone
These are resilient microphone elements
with great sound and is ideal for rugged
regular use.
Squelch/RSSI Set Up
Step one
Turn off the transmitter and make note
of any interference that is present by
monitoring the receiver RF bar graph or
audio output
Step two
Turn the squelch control clockwise until
the interference disappears. In extreme
cases it may not be possible to remove
the unwanted interference and in this case
it is recommended you try an alternative
channel
Note: The squelch control affects the
operating range of the system and with the
squelch set to maximum, the range will be
significantly reduced.

Disconnect the wireless receiver from your
mixing console or PA system
Step two
Set your transmitter signal so you have

background noise. Adjust the control to
achieve the best signal quality
Step three
Connect your wireless receiver to your
mixer or PA System and adjust the input
gain to the appropriate level
